Demon Cultivator in Abyssal Era
Chapter 1043 - 455-2
"Ahhhhh!!!!"
Amid the High Priest’s shrill screams, his body visibly carbonized and withered, eventually turning into basic particles.
"Your polluted blood still burns so well."
The man chuckled, then pointed downward.
In the next instant, a massive brightness rose in the center of the junkyard, like a ball of light purely composed of light and heat. The light ball rapidly expanded until it devoured the entire junkyard!
Once the light ball disappeared, the garbage that had accumulated for decades was completely gone, leaving only an ellipsoidal crater over forty kilometers in diameter in its place, along with dust drifting like black mist in the sky.
"This should count as mission accomplished, right?"
"Of course, Lord Hero," the attendant behind him wiped the cold sweat from his face, "this strike is definitely cleaner than any execution team could manage, you will surely earn the highest mission rating."
Hero let out a proud laugh, not bothering to glance down, and turned back to the airship.
In the fifty-nine years of alien invasion, the first glimmer of hope for the Ming Race People was extinguished by the spur-of-the-moment coincidence of two individuals.
"...Cough cough!"
Red Swan climbed up from the rubble, the smoky dust making it hard for her to open her eyes. She dared not channel the power of the Holy Blood, fearing it would attract the attention of the Celestials, and only waved her hands to dispel the ash in front of her.
When she barely managed to see the scene before her, she stood frozen in place.
Everything was gone, the uncles of the junkyard where she grew up, the flea market she loved to visit, and the brothers and sisters who fought alongside her in the Clear Sky Sect... all of it had turned into indistinguishable dust.
Before the massive destruction with a forty-kilometer diameter, any path lost its meaning.
She didn’t know why she survived. She just knelt on the ground blankly, overwhelmed by immense grief and helplessness that shattered her young heart. She didn’t know how to accept it all and just stayed there, tears unconsciously streaming down.
Not far away, Sun Shisan and Li Mao also got up, looking around in bewilderment. The vast junkyard seemed to have only the area within ten meters of the statue preserved intact.
"Uncle Sun... what should we do next?" Red Swan’s hollow voice sounded.
Sun Shisan walked over and tenderly wiped the tears off her face, leaving two clear traces of ash.
"Survive, find every possible way to survive," Sun Shisan said word by word.
The hope was crushed by a spur-of-the-moment coincidence, but also preserved a thread by a spur-of-the-moment thought.
...
"Interesting guys have left, huh."
Sensing the airship gradually departing, Chu Xiu withdrew the extensive Divine Thought he had spread out.
"Strong Demigod Level energy output, but the skill used is quite mysterious. By stably expanding the light ball, it greatly reduces energy waste and achieves a destructive effect that ordinary skills cannot.
"So this is the investigation team..."
Chu Xiu had basically determined that the other party should come from an advanced civilization.
Although it might not be a Divine Level Seventh-level Civilization with deities, it should at least be capable of alien invasion, and even at the same Sixth-level Civilization, its technological level is far superior to Blue Star.
"However, that has nothing to do with me."
He just thought it was remarkable that Blue Boy could help people break through to Heroic Spirit, and it would be a pity if such a being died, so he stepped in.
"Try to avoid causing trouble in the future, and don’t easily use your ability." Chu Xiu’s thoughts directly touched Blue Boy’s soul, making the latter nod repeatedly and cling tighter to Chu Xiu’s statue with joy.
Although having resolved the hidden danger of the Star Pill, Chu Xiu could now fully utilize his Power, and his combat strength was even stronger than when he fought Ashtar, he was naturally unafraid of any investigation team, but he was also reluctant to cause unnecessary trouble.
After thinking for a bit, he asked Blue Boy about what had happened before, whether he knew why they appeared on this planet. Unfortunately, even though Blue Boy had grown much, his mind remained as naive as a child’s. He too was clueless about what had happened.
Chu Xiu didn’t pursue further because, for him, cultivation was the most important thing right now.
After some thought, Chu Xiu asked Blue Boy to carry the Spirit and Flesh Storage Pouch and the Soul Banner with him, then entered seclusion again.
He did not leave his petrified state because he found that this state he inadvertently entered effectively prevented energy leakage and was better for cultivation.
He became fully immersed in comprehension, and in this manner, a month passed by without notice.
After reading a large number of cultivation techniques, a general idea had already formed in his mind.
"Previously, I thought of continuously imbibing my branded Spiritual Power to enhance my connection with the Star Core, achieving control, then slowly refining the internal power for my use afterward."
"But this step...is difficult!"
After drastically improving his understanding of cultivation, Chu Xiu realized how naive he had been.
The principle was fine, but the challenge was that it always involves strong Power refining weak Power, never the reverse, using weak Power to refine strong Power?
The brand Chu Xiu implanted would likely be refined by the Star Core before long. During the last time, when he was devoured along with Spiritual Power equivalent to three or four Perfect Demigods, it didn’t last long. Had he not stabilized the Spiritual Power in time, it would have been mostly assimilated by the nebula.
Currently, the energy level of the nebula is far greater than before for the Star Core, and the internal Power’s friction is much more intense. This method won’t work anymore.
Fortunately, Chu Xiu thought of a more suitable idea.
Previously, he discovered the nebula’s interior actually resembles a [vortex] at a higher dimension.
What would happen if an object entered a vortex?
Most people know that the object will continually be drawn toward the vortex’s center, but what happens next?
The answer is that as it approaches the bottom, the object will be thrown outwards for disrupting the vortex’s structure.
Essentially, it’s an inevitable outcome for maintaining stability and conservation, just like black holes, which can even attract light, modern scientific studies have found that they throw out radiation rather than endlessly devouring.
So the idea Chu Xiu came up with is to utilize similar stimuli to force the nebula to continuously [throw out] its internal Power, then Chu Xiu can refine this weaker [thrown out] Power, thereby slowly refining the entire nebula bit by bit!
Although this sounds extremely difficult and will undoubtedly take a large amount of time, it’s the best plan Chu Xiu can think of for now.
Moreover, this plan has reference to the similar cultivation techniques in some formidable beings’ records. Those big shots were investigating how to steal the Power from a distant enemy’s body, akin to techniques like the Absorption Star Technique...
"It’s only a preliminary idea for now."
"Don’t rush, verify each step thoroughly, ensure success before proceeding with the creation, and never repeat past mistakes."
Zhao Jie was right, his power had grown too rapidly, there was no need to further pursue a high-speed power increase, he wasn’t competing with anyone, nor did he need to prove innovatory genius to anybody; those were all meaningless.
What he truly needed was the time to sediment, ensuring a solid foundation on his cultivation path.
With his determined thought, Chu Xiu sank back into cultivation.
What he didn’t know was that at the same time, far away on Blue Star, like a butterfly flapping its wings might lead to a storm, a change triggered by him was quietly taking place...
