Chapter 118: Not So Smooth Relationships

Miyashita Kaori looked around the empty dingy store in a daze until she realized…

“Ah… a nightmare…” Or… is it?

She instinctively touched the slave mark branded onto her… only to find that the tattoo had faded away.

“This… did something really happen to that scum? That nightmare…”

Recalling the strange nightmare where she became somebody suffering through the torture of having their skin peeled off, Kaori still felt some fear, but now, more excitement.

“Keheeheehee…” Tears can’t help but run down her face. “It’s good… it’s great that scum finally gets his just desserts!”

Though she wasn’t sure how or even if that scum actually died, just getting rid of the slave brand was enough cause for celebration.

Kaori got up and went over to the store front. She stared at the late-noon desert outside through the door glass.

The sunlight beckoned to her and she hesitantly pushed opened the door…

Hot air buffeted her face and she could almost taste freedom.

As long as she runs out there… and keep running… she will be free…

No more suffering. No more being men’s plaything.

Ah… how nice that sounds. But...

To give up everything just like that? Her vengeful side said... no.

Since she’s free to do whatever she wants, she wanted… more!

She let go of the door and watch freedom shut in her face. Her smile of malice was reflected in the glass.

It’s only right that a teacher like her do her best to teach all these horny boys a good lesson…

Kaori turned around and her strides took her to the back of her new classroom.

She pushed open the backdoor and easily spotted the lone fisherboy getting baked by the desert heat.

Just when she was about to go get to know her new student, a call stopped her.

“My oh my, if it isn’t Sister Miyashit… ta. Thought you’ll still be resting after all that morning exercise.”

Kaori glanced back at the bitchy superstar in a red dress coming her way. “I can say the same to you, Sister Chae. Your sleep quality must’ve been great with that stench on you.”

Chae Yoona knew what the woman was implying, but she showed no shame at all, “What can I say? We in the entertainment circle are used to having such a hectic schedule.”

Kaori understood. Unlike her respectable profession as a teacher, these celebrities had long been baptized by high society.

What she deemed to be hell was just another day for this woman. No point in arguing.

Instead of antagonizing her further, Kaori decided to make peace.

“I’ve seen the dramas you starred in. My students were fangirling over them and I picked them up in the process. I do admire many of sister’s works.”

“Oh~?” Chae Yoona studied the woman who had a change in attitude with a knowing smile. “So sister is a teacher? By how many times you scored, I almost thought you worked on the streets.”

But Kaori didn’t fall for her provocation. “There’s no need to demean me. We’re all women doing whatever we must to survive. Don’t you think it’s better if we get along?”

“Is that so?” Chae Yoona smiled and played with her hair like this had nothing to do with her.

Not getting the answer she wanted, Kaori tried persuading again, “I learned from them they haven’t touched you yet. But you should know better than I do what kind of creatures these men are.”

“Heeeh?” Chae Yoona giggled lightly. “But that’s not my business. My business is him.”

Kaori looked at the fisherman that Yoona pointed out and heard the woman declare her sovereignty.

“I don’t care what you do with the rest. Just don’t get in my way and I won’t get in yours.”

So fixated? Kaori frowned inside. Is there something special about this fisherman?

Curious, she can’t help but do a little probing. “I suppose he must have quite the status here?”

Chae Yoona disdainfully scoffed. “Tch. What status? Just a food source we’re all exploiting. But we’ve come to an agreement and he’s mine to handle. So don’t go ruining our plans. Understand?”

Oh. That Kaori understood. So they’ve got plans on him. No wonder. But isn’t this even better?

As if reading her mind, Chae Yoona warned her, “Stop harboring any thoughts you shouldn’t. If you really want to play your games, I know of a better candidate here.”

“Hmm?” Kaori looked over in interest. “And who might that be?”

Chae Yoona threw out the bait they’ve prepared. “In our group, there’s a mysterious highschooler… a young man that nobody in this base dares to offend.”

“Mysterious?” Kaori felt that’s a strange word to use. “How so?”

“Mysterious as we don’t know much about him.” Chae Yoona’s face turned serious.

“We don’t know his name nor abilities. But we know he’s strong enough to live out there ever since the first night and he only comes back from week to week.”

Now that finally shocked Kaori. Somebody that could survive out there since the first night? She never expected there would be such a powerhouse over here!

That explains a lot. No wonder that scheming Sasuke didn’t dare to openly invade despite possessing such a powerful monster army!

Such a powerhouse… if she could get close to him, won’t her revenge be simple?

Compared to this frail-looking fisherman, Kaori obviously yearned for that mysterious character more.

Especially since she was sure this Yoona won’t lie to her about such a thing. It was too easy to confirm with the rest.

Besides, if this turned out to all be a lie, it wasn’t too late to come back to teach this bitch a lesson.

So, she didn’t bother tearing faces and backed down for the time being. “Then, Sister Chae, I’ll leave things here to you. I’ll go catch up on some sleep first.”

“Oh yes, be my guest. It was a pleasure speaking with you, Sister Miyashita.”

Both ladies exchanged pleasant smiles and parted ways on “happy” terms.
