DesertCraft: Fishing Pocket Heaven
Chapter 128: Back to Business
“Don’t make me say it again. Unhand me.”
The authoritative tone provoked Park Insu even more and he almost let his anger take over!
But he wasn’t a stupid brute who does stupid things just because of anger.
Even an idiot can tell that the selfish prick backing this bitch wasn’t as harmless as he portrayed. Offending him over a woman wasn’t worth it!
Besides, he certainly had no intentions of being a gun for that four-eyes like that foolish bald donkey.
So after doing a little intimation that’s enough to pass as playing his part, Park Insu released the woman’s wrist and growled, “Madaraka! Count yourself lucky. As a man, I don’t have a habit of bullying women!”
At another corner of their triangle, Kaori spitefully glared at the shameless coward that backed off. You call yourself a man? Then who was it that bullied her all night?!
Alas… whatever complaints she has, she could only bury them deep inside her heart.
As a woman and an outsider, her say was still weak here. To integrate herself and achieve her vengeance, some sacrifices must be made.
Still, Kaori can’t help but feel jealous when she looked at the celebrity queen. Just because she’s born with better looks, she gets to live so well even in another world! How unfair!
But even if she found this bitch—that played a trick on her—hateful, she certainly won’t confront her directly. Rather than that, it’s better to find a way to climb the phoenix’s branch!
Now that she knew that fisherman was also a “big shot”, why would she offend this bitch? She can’t wait to “befriend” her!
Seeing that his other two pig teammates showed signs of being uncooperative, Kwan Minhwoo knew any chances of exploiting this scheming actress further was for naught.
He wasn’t sure when this Yoona and that Steve got together, but he had to admit: these two schemers really chose a good time to come out of the closet.
The splitting of their team weakened their authority and except for the outlet of their lust, everybody else was still recovering from their injuries.
It was the worst time for them to pick a fight with another team!
If the other side merely had one member, it might still be possible to win, but now that there’s two...
Considering the unknown terrifying power this pair might possess, even if they ganged up on them, they might suffer heavy casualties!
Besides, they’re in the light, while others still had somebody ambushing in the dark.
From his decades of work experience back on Earth, he learned one thing the hard way…
You definitely don’t want to fall out with threats like these or they’ll be forced to sleep with their eyes opened from now on!
That’s why Kwan Minhwoo had no choice but to play the nice guy and appease this spokesperson.
“Miss Chae, please forgive our rash behavior. We’re all poor survivors grasping straws, and we merely wanted to get you to share some survival tips... for the greater good and all.”
“But since you refuse, we won’t push it. Let’s set aside our bad blood. It’s best we all get along in harmony. What say you?”
Chae Yoona rolled her stinging wrist unhappily and swept her chilling gaze over them all. But in the end, she still didn’t tear faces and accepted the bid for peace.
“Fine. Enough nonsense. Since you all can still stay civilized enough, you’ve earned the right to discuss real business.”
“Oh? Miss Chae, you mean…”
Chae Yoona simply took out a page seemingly torn from a diary and handed it over. “Here. Take a look at our comprehensive list of items up for trade.”
One glance at the handwritten list caused Kwan Minhwoo’s heart to skip a beat.
His face revealed nothing though and he kept his next question casual, “Such neat handwriting… was this personally written by Miss Chae using a pen?”
Chae Yoona didn’t take his words to heart and shot back, “Less stupid questions. If anything interests you, just say it. Otherwise, we’re done here.”
Though she didn’t answer his question directly, Kwan Minhwoo easily judged the answer. His heartbeat sped up and his eyes grew hot when they landed on another special item on the list.
Still, he pretended to browse the rest of the list and asked about several items just like the pair that also came to take a peek.
There were the old stuff like raw fish set at new prices and even more new merchandise sold in limited supplies...
Crafting table… rare-blue stone axe… seeds… empty treasure caskets… cooked fish… mysterious diary fragments...
Eventually, he can’t hold back anymore and casually pointed out a very specific item on the list.”This inc sac… it’s a green-grade uncommon item you say?”
“Hmm?” Chae Yoona didn’t know why this four-eyes asked about this useless ink sac, but she did her part as a merchant.
“Indeed. This sac carries extraordinary power and even my lord hesitated to part with it. So we won’t accept anything for exchange unless it’s of equivalent grade or higher.”
She didn’t know if her attempt to upsell the item will work or not, but it won’t hurt to try, especially since this four-eyes’ team happened to possess several items of higher grades!
If she could exchange for one of those purple-grade torches that man told her about, perhaps he’ll be happy enough to give her more funds to spend on the Grand Exchange?
Unfortunately, that was wishful thinking.
Now that their team split again, each pair only owned one torch, and it was impossible to trade this cave-exploring lifeline away.
However… what everybody didn’t expect was what the four-eyes offered up for trade next!
