DesertCraft: Fishing Pocket Heaven

Chapter 99: The Impact to Others

  • Next Chapter

Day 15. Morning.

Yu Zhiye cast out his line again and relaxed in his seat once more. “Just two more days to go…”

In the end, he chose to save for the main core advancement because that’s where the biggest snowballing happens.

For the sake of doubling passive income! For the sake of more money printers to prepare for the next return of the trade hub!

Besides those reasons, Yu Zhiye had a hunch that level 5 will be an important milestone!

Of course, whether that was true or not… he’ll have to wait and see.

For now, it was simply a game of patience… just like fishing.

“Hmm… I’ve already collected plenty of sand today. Now, I can finally start fishing on the job and look at the excitement happening abroad.”

Yu Zhiye pulled up the system interface to check on the world chat...

Unsurprisingly, there were new updates. Unexpectedly, there was yet another system announcement!

[System] Congratulations to Player [Lin Fan] from Faction [Cultivators – Azure Cloud Sect] for being the first to slay the elite boss [Bull Demon Lord]!

It was another global announcement for an elite monster hunted! This time, the hunter didn’t bother hiding his name and instantly became famous!

[Heavenly Sage] Congratulations Fellow Daoist Lin! Truly one cry startles the world! If you’re interested in selling any part of that demon, feel free to contact me.

[Heavenly Marshal] Senior Brother Lin Fan! I am a big fan! Please add a friend and carry your little brother to overturn the heavens!

[Little Dragon Maiden] Wow! Senior Brother is amazing! Please send an autograph to the Adamant Mountain Sect please!

The Eastern side obviously looked to make friends while the Western side…

[Piss Off] Damn. Another big boss appeared. Wonder what special talents those two possess to take down elite monsters so early in the game.

[Please Suck Me] I’m more interested how they found these elite bosses! Like holy shit. Where I am, it’s hard to even find a suitable mob to kill, let alone a boss monster!

[One-Eyed Troll] Oh quit whining here! If you can get on this chat, you might as well spend your time earning more XP and find a way to promote your puny life level.

[Professor X] That’s right. There’s no need to envy others. Once you get your hands on a powerful extraordinary potion, this gap will even out.

[Piss Off] Oh piss off with your chicken soup! One step ahead, always ahead. This damn world was never fair and will never be. Many of us won’t even be able to get an extraordinary potion in this lifetime!

[Please Suck Me] That’s so true! I’ll be willing to suck anyone that’ll tell me where I can get my hands on one!

Unfortunately, this was still early in the game, and even if somebody knew, nobody was silly enough to share such valuable information.

But at least Yu Zhiye knew where he could get his. His options were many, too!

“Alas… the prices… well, all the more reason to increase the number of money printers.”

Once the passive income was strong enough, everything else will come naturally. Just like how naturally his bitch came.

“Tch. You moved your spot again. Oppa going to do this every day now?”

Yu Zhiye shrugged. “It’s in my best interest to avoid overfishing a spot.”

“Sah... whatever you say.” Chae Yoona took her spot on the man’s lap and hooked his attention with her charm like usual. “Oppa, ready to let Yoona make you feel good?”

Yu Zhiye rolled his eyes. “Noona, how about you give me a report first?”

“Why so impatient, oppa? Yoona can do that while oppa does... whatever you like.”

“Oh. Then… I’ll like that report please.”

Chae Yoona’s face fell. Is her charm starting to lose its effect?

Yu Zhiye observed her attitude and could almost guess the reason. “Go on. Honestly tell me what you messed up.”

Chae Yoona bit her lips but she still couldn’t resist reporting the truth. “I got scammed.”

“Oh?” Yu Zhiye’s interest got aroused. “What happened?”

She didn’t answer. Instead, she took out a bottle of water from her inventory and handed it over.

Yu Zhiye tossed that into his own inventory for analysis and noted the item description. “Sea water? I see…”

Then there was silence. Chae Yoona timidly checked the expression of her man. He didn’t look mad at all, but she can’t tell if he was just keeping his expression in check.

Seeing that he didn’t give any other response, she couldn’t bear the silence any longer and forced herself to do a little probe.

“Those scums really thought I was easy to bully. Good thing I didn’t buy much. Oppa… you won’t blame your Yoona for suffering this little loss, will you?”

The clingy woman brought Yu Zhiye back down to earth and he casually forgave her, “It’s fine. We can’t always win in business. Just be more careful next time.”

Anyways, he’s got an almost unlimited supply of raw fish. A little loss was nothing.

Knowing she passed, Chae Yoona breathed a sigh of relief inside and dutifully played her part as a charming fox. “Oppa is the best~”

The charming evil spirit then snaked off his laps and down on her knees to start making amends for her mistakes…

Ahem. Nothing unsuitable for children was happening here. Just an eloquent tongue reporting on her spy duties…

Damn. Yu Zhiye must admit: she’s good. There’s nothing to nitpick about a top-notch actress like her.

She really played those men so bad that they’re even willing to show her the colors of their underwear!

Ahem. By that, he meant they’re willing to tell her everything about their adventures… and even their schemes.

But Yu Zhiye didn’t have much interest in these. It was purely for reference and to stay alert. What he was more interested in was…

“By the way, have you noticed anything off about those that ate the fish raw?”

Chae Yoona swallowed what she just got blessed with, raw, and smoothly patrolled for more while reporting her observations.

“Mnn. Not really. They seem a bit more irritable lately, but that’s most likely due to the survival pressure and getting scammed by those from the other side.”

Irritable? Was that it? Yu Zhiye wasn’t sure because it was still too early to confirm anything.

However, he knew: whatever that black mist polluting those raw fishes were, it’s definitely not simple.

Good thing there’s no such worry regarding his purified cooked fish.

In fact, after eating that for the past few days, he even discovered his constitution attribute silently went up by 0.1 points! The same applied for Yoona!

If their calculations weren’t wrong, they could get a 0.01 CON enhancement per whole sandfish eaten!

It wasn’t much nor was it little. Perhaps it was thanks to this that he felt so energized during their special activities?

Ahem. To be verified.

Just when Yu Zhiye wanted to make that impact for another round of verification, he spotted somebody sneaking around by the mountainside in the distance.

“Huh? That… doesn’t look like somebody from our base?”
