Gu Qingxin did not go on a business trip as Rong Qianchen said; she simply didn’t want to see Beiming Han, so she asked Rong Qianchen to say that.

Recently, the company needed to rush out a new batch of products. She reviewed the creative ideas submitted by the designers but felt that these designs were completely off. She sent them all back for reworking.

She also began continuing her sketching.

But...

The floor was littered with discarded paper. Her head kept bumping against the sketches, with no sensation, not the slightest feeling...

She tried hard not to let Beiming Han affect her, but it was absolutely impossible to say she wasn’t affected at all.

Still, it didn’t matter; she had already gotten used to it. For the past five years, she had been using work to shift her focus; otherwise, how could she endure such a difficult time?

Rong Qianchen brought in a cup of coffee. Seeing her state, he reached out and pulled the drawing board out from her hand.

"You’ll ruin your looks if you keep bumping like that! Have a cup of coffee to refresh yourself first." Rong Qianchen handed her the coffee.

"Thank you." Gu Qingxin smiled, took it, and had a couple of sips.

"Is there not a single usable design from the people below? You shouldn’t set your standards too high; given the urgency of this batch, just select some to use." Rong Qianchen advised her.

"Absolutely not! Wouldn’t that ruin my own brand? Definitely not!" Gu Qingxin firmly shook her head. Not only would she reject a faulty design but even the slightest flaw in stitching would prevent these clothes from leaving her factory.

"I really can’t do anything about you." Rong Qianchen helplessly reached out to ruffle her hair.

"If you settle for anything, where’s the brand, where’s the premium quality?" Gu Qingxin continued to drink coffee. She was accustomed to working through pain until it seemed less significant.

"You’re always right. These clothes aren’t designed for the so-called royal upper society; they’re for the general public this time."

Rong Qianchen looked at her with tender eyes, which was what he admired most about this girl. She designed not merely for fame and profit but genuinely wanted to beautify the whole world through her work.

She created high-end items, but also addressed mid-market and even low-market segments. Regardless of the level, she was meticulous in her designs.

If the people paying five to six figures for couture knew that the designer for their dresses put as much, if not more, thought into clothes for ordinary people, they’d probably be shocked!

"Do you think designing for ordinary people’s clothes is easy? This is what truly tests a designer’s ability!" Gu Qingxin finished her cup of coffee and continued to worry about her designs.

"Alright, alright, our Xin’er is the best." Rong Qianchen returned her drawing board, looking at her with eyes filled with gentle pride.

Given her current achievements, anyone who loved her would be proud of her.

"I’ll go wake up the little ones."

Rong Qianchen picked up his coffee cup and left.

"Okay." Gu Qingxin smiled. Such a morning, warm and serene, was the simple life she had always dreamed of. But... why couldn’t she accept it?

She didn’t want to think any more. Just as she was about to sketch, the computer beeped; she clicked to check, and it was a message from her assistant saying someone wanted to customize a dress urgently and was willing to pay a premium.

Gu Qingxin immediately responded: ’Accept! Why not? Send their requirements!’
