All of them formed many distinct arcane seals. The shard wasn't a metal object, but rather, a miniature world of different types of lightning made solid! The divine sword itself had actually been a sword-shaped lightning formation disc.

As for the spirit item, his reply came as quite a surprise to An Jing and the sword soul.
