Destiny Mission of game ‘Star Ring’
Chapter 2161 - 1663: Obelisk (Second Update)
Qian Chengxue and the others all straightened up, their expressions solemn as they spoke.
"What combat operation?"
"Attack the Immortal Empire, rescue Krisia, and reclaim the Star Drill."
Su Mo briefly explained the mission details.
Qian Chengxue and the others were extremely shocked upon hearing this, and instinctively asked.
"Did the Immortal Empire betray us?"
"The Immortal Empire was originally an inside agent planted by the Eternal Sleep Clan in Star Ring City, so it’s not really a betrayal."
Su Mo explained.
"I was wondering how those guys, having just been summoned to the Negative Universe, developed such strong technology and strength. So that’s why..."
Sun Duoxiang was also surprised.
"Ahem! Let’s not talk about that now. Buseray, please explain the specifics of the Immortal Empire to everyone."
Su Mo interrupted Sun Duoxiang.
Hearing Su Mo’s words, Sun Duoxiang and the others quieted down and looked toward Buseray.
Buseray spoke in a deep voice.
"The total number from the Immortal Empire responding to the call of Star Ring City to participate in the Negative God Star operation is 3 million people. Among them, 2 million are carrying out operations for Star Ring City, spread across the Negative God Star; we don’t have to worry about them since the Emperor can’t recall them."
"Does that mean we have to face a 1 million-strong regular army?"
Sun Duoxiang couldn’t help but take a deep breath.
"That’s right, and the soldiers of our Immortal Empire are different from yours. We are born with extremely strong nerves, so each one of us is a great fighter. There’s no such thing as cannon fodder among us, so you best not underestimate them."
Buseray proudly reminded them.
"Tell us about the key forces and expert situation."
Tilo pondered for a moment and asked.
"First, you must be most careful about two things. One is the Legendary Level Star Destroyer, Super Spirit. Don’t be fooled by its ordinary appearance; it’s actually very special and formidable. Its circuitry uses neural circuits, and its power core is a biological core, making its performance comparable to the God of Na Vessel. This Star Destroyer is also our Emperor’s vehicle, being used in battle for the first time."
Buseray said solemnly.
"And the other?"
Tilo continued to ask.
"Another one to be extremely cautious of is our Emperor Kilmock. He is different from us; he’s not human. His true form is a Spirit Toucher, and his real identity is the Second Vice Clan Leader of the Eternal Sleep Clan. We can’t say precisely how strong he is; the only thing I know is that if he wants someone dead, no one can survive."
Buseray’s eyes showed a hint of unease when mentioning Emperor Kilmock.
Xiao Wen also found it quite troublesome and said, "It’s a bit of a problem!"
This is when Su Mo spoke up, saying, "You don’t have to worry about that Emperor Kilmock, leave him to me. Buseray, continue."
"Apart from Emperor Kilmock, you must face Reoter, Prince Kyarat, and a number of other experts. Even though most of the mechas they pilot are from the fifth generation, they all have special abilities that allow them to break through limits. Their power and strength can grow to a terrifying degree, rivaling Fake VI Generation mechas."
Buseray said simply.
"That’s manageable; we have the Divine Guard Series Mecha, which should suffice to deal with them. It’s just that they seem to have more people than us, which is a bit problematic."
Qian Chengxue assessed the situation and said.
"Moreover, we can’t rule out the possibility that Emperor Kilmock has additional tricks up his sleeve. After all, he doesn’t let us in on many things."
Buseray gravely reminded them.
Hearing this, Su Mo addressed everyone.
"That’s roughly the situation. Do any of you have any questions?"
"Yes, do you know where Krisia is being held? Can you pinpoint her location so we can rescue her as soon as we make a move?"
Tilo asked.
"I know. She’s being held in a hemispherical temporary base, in the deepest dungeon. That temporary base is heavily armed and heavily guarded inside."
Buseray explained.
"Let’s set off first; you can give us a detailed explanation of the enemy’s defense deployment on the way."
Su Mo pondered for a moment and gave the order.
"Yes!"
Everyone responded.
Soon, the floating Black Light turned its bow and flew into the distance.
....
-------------------------------------------------------------
Immortal Empire’s temporary encampment.
A row of Engineering Mecha·Barbarian Bears were busily installing one giant piece of equipment after another.
These devices had a pointed tower-like head, with a specialized circuit covering the surface, and their bases extended special mechanical spikes like the tentacles of an octopus, deeply embedding into the ground.
Viewed from above, these installed devices formed a circular array.
When fully assembled, they could merge into a gigantic obelisk.
Inside the command room of the Legendary Level Star Destroyer, Super Spirit.
Emperor Kilmock sat on the throne, staring at the soon-to-be-completed machinery, with a fanatical look in his eyes.
Prince Kyarat approached respectfully to Kilmock and said.
"Father, it’s likely that Buseray has already escaped back to Star Ring City. Icaroya probably knows about our betrayal. Should we prepare for anything?"
"No need. So what if they know? Icaroya can hardly protect herself right now, let alone have the energy to deal with us. Moreover, by the time she gets around to dealing with us, who dies will still be uncertain."
Emperor Kilmock replied coldly.
"Father is right."
Prince Kyarat said respectfully.
"Go on, keep an eye on the base; don’t let some unexpected trouble arise, or you know the consequences."
Kilmock glanced at Prince Kyarat.
"Yes, Father."
Prince Kyarat shuddered and withdrew with his head bowed.
...
In the cold cell.
Krisia quietly leaned against the wall, her purple eyes holding a faint trace of sorrow and confusion.
At that moment, Krisia heard footsteps approaching.
The trace of sadness in her eyes suddenly vanished.
Shortly, Prince Kyarat appeared at the cell door.
"Your Highness!"
The guard hurriedly greeted him with respect.
"Open the door."
Kyarat ordered expressionlessly.
Creaaak~
The door was quickly opened, and Kyarat walked straight in, looking at the expressionless Krisia, he said.
"Sister, I’ve come to see you."
Krisia didn’t respond at all, as if she hadn’t heard.
Kyarat wasn’t upset. He walked to the bedside and looked at Krisia, saying.
"Don’t be so aloof. After all, I’m your big brother, and there’s still some family bond between us."
"Don’t play the emotional card; it only makes me laugh."
Krisia replied coldly.
"Haha, fine, I won’t talk about those empty things with you."
Kyarat then lifted his left hand, tapped a few times on his electronic bracelet, and a special ripple emitted from it.
