Destiny Mission of game ‘Star Ring’
Chapter 2176 - 1678: Mutation (2 Updates)
"Lady Goli, if it’s because of this, then you definitely can’t go back to seek help."
"Why?"
Goli looked at Kunna and asked.
"Think about it, Lord Icaroya did this himself because it’s clear he doesn’t want the Alliance Government and your father involved in this risk. If you go back to seek help now, they will inevitably get involved, and they haven’t even been injected with the Genetic Potion to resist Negative Energy Pollution. Their resistance to pollution is worse than ours, and once they enter the Negative Universe, they might be doomed."
"I know. It’s precisely for this reason my sister didn’t want to discuss it with father. But now, I can’t care about all that. I must go back to seek help. As for those terrors of pollution and the Negative Universe, I will tell father truthfully, and then we will discuss solutions together. Actually, my sister is too strong-willed, wanting to carry everything on her own shoulders. If she had told father about the Negative Universe from the start, maybe everything would have been different."
Goli sighed and replied.
"That’s also something we can’t help with; even the Divine Race perished here. If your father gets infected by Negative Energy, as children, you’d certainly feel guilty."
Kunna replied helplessly.
"I understand, but now I have no other choice. I can only do this. I believe Father will understand."
Goli has also decided to take the plunge; she can’t let her sister bear this alone.
"I understand. You must be careful on your journey."
Kunna nodded and replied.
Goli then said to Kunna, "Also, don’t let anyone know about my departure. If someone looks for me, just say I’m not feeling well and decline meetings. Leave everything in your hands. If you encounter something you can’t solve, go to Yurika; he’s trustworthy."
"Alright, Lady Goli."
Kunna nodded emphatically.
More than an hour later, the ship’s docking port at the base of Radiant City opened.
The legendary Star Destroyer, Noke, in invisibility mode, silently detached from Radiant City and sped towards the distant starry sky.
....
Positive Universe · Divine Creation Star
Alliance Government Special Operations Hall.
The hall was filled with countless chattering voices.
"A whole bunch of Pollution Beasts has emerged from the Eleventh Star Domain."
"Now’s not the time, don’t speak of that. First, find the source, see where they’re coming from."
"I don’t mean to say, but the reports keep coming in."
"If they appear, send someone to deal with them; we have so many starships and weapons, not just for show."
"It’s easy for you to say. These monsters appear here and there, the encircling forces are running all over the place, and time and energy are wasted on the journey."
"Leave the extermination to the lower ranks, we shouldn’t discuss this; let’s find the source, hit the snake at the weak spot."
"Everyone knows that, but the scouting units sent out haven’t given any substantial feedback!"
"What are they even doing? It’s been so many days, not one accurate report."
...
Colimy · Divine Radiance sat in the command chair, holding his chin with his right hand, looking listless.
He kept yawning; ever since the fire at home, he hadn’t had a peaceful day.
Every day, it’s meeting after meeting after meeting!
The key point is, no conclusions come out of the meetings; those monsters popping up are overwhelmingly vile, exterminating a batch just causes another batch to appear, seemingly endless.
Rabavis · Radiance, sitting aside, slightly kicked Colimy’s foot, whispering.
"Back to business."
"I want to focus, too, but discussing daily doesn’t make any progress. What about Icarus?"
"There was an incident in the Insect Race area; he went to check it out."
Rabavis · Radiance explained.
"What’s strange about it? Now, which Star Domain doesn’t have issues? Just let the lower ranks handle it."
Colimy · Divine Radiance replied indifferently.
"It’s different now; that place had an incident."
Rabavis whispered lowly.
Colimy’s eyes widened, showing a startled look, and he exclaimed in surprise.
"What are you saying, the 18th Star Domain also had an incident!"
Shush!
The chaotic operations hall suddenly quieted down, everyone turning their heads towards Colimy.
Rabavis · Radiance rubbed his forehead, utterly headache-filled.
...
At the border between the 17th Star Domain and the 18th Star Domain.
One after another, infected monsters covered in pustules flew out, including massive Combined Beasts and various corrupted Alien Species.
At this moment, hordes of insect swarms and Aliens, along with Alien Ships, formed square formations.
They fired countless dazzling beams at the infected monsters.
Ka!
The emerging Pollution Monsters were instantly pierced, their bodies drifting in the starry sky.
Yet even though these polluted monsters were eliminated, the Insect Race, Alien, and Alien forces dared not approach, even their advanced elite continually issued piercing warnings.
Warning the lower-ranked members to avoid the bodies, not to mention consuming them.
Behind the Alien Joint Forces, a black VI-type Fortress-esque Alien emerged like a giant star, and on its surface appeared a faceless visage, surrounded by countless black tentacles, with faces in agony appearing on the tentacles, occasionally audible hellish cries. This VI-type Fortress Alien was none other than the Alien Clan Leader · Gusadan.
Standing on Gusadan was a trio of figures, including two women; the left side was an extremely voluptuous figure, with an extremely dangerous and alluring presence on her face, slender and sharp fingers — this was the Alien Clan Leader · Iswen.
The woman on the right had pale skin, eyes akin to blue sapphires, black hair cascading to her waist, wearing plain white clothing — she was the Insect Race Clan Leader · You Lan.
Another presence was Icarus.
"This is bad news; these monsters emerged from the 18th Star Domain — it’s an extremely dangerous signal."
Iswen opened up with concern.
"I didn’t expect the Birthplace to face problems too, seems here is most likely where the trouble lies."
Icarus explained helplessly.
"What do we do now? We can’t just march into the 18th Star Domain — it’s forbidden."
Alien Clan Leader · Gusadan replied solemnly.
"Let me think."
Icarus · Radiance replied, headache-filled.
"Qian Long, how about you enter and take a look? You’ve been in before, going in again shouldn’t matter."
You Lan turned to Qian Long, speaking in an ethereal voice.
"It’s doable; we’ll just pretend not to notice."
Iswen laughed brightly.
"Hehe."
Icarus softly twitched his mouth, unsure whether to smile or cry.
