Raven’s expression darkened further, a deeper realisation finally clicking into place. "The Matriarch... my grandmother she must know something about Adeline."

Raven shifted forward, resting his chin on his long fingers. "It was always weighing on my mind. For a full year, the council has tried to force her hand a dozen times, demanding Adeline be cast out or removed from the estate. Yet, my grandmother protected her. She made Adeline stay. She claimed it was just gratitude for her kind bravery... it was just because Adeline saved her life. But looking at everything now..."

Raven paused, his dark eyes locking onto the center table. "Everything points to one undeniable conclusion. She knows something about Adeline. The Matriarch knows something about Adeline’s true nature, something hidden beneath that scentless facade, that we are only just beginning to piece together."

Blake exhaled sharply, running a hand through his dark hair as a grim look settled over his face. "Even if the Dowager Luna of the Second Throne is protecting her, she takes her duty with ruthless calculation. But what about the other thrones? I doubt the rest of them will be so forgiving."

Blake’s eyes snapped directly to Keiran, the silent implication hanging heavily in the air.

The Fourth Throne.

If the other powerful ruling houses found out about Adeline is , the Fourth Throne, who owed absolutely nothing to Adeline and cared only for absolute bloodline purity, they wouldn’t hesitate. They would see a wolfless rogue with no pack name, bound to royal heirs, not as a miracle, but as a fatal weakness. A threat to the throne.

"They’ll move to execute her," Blake said, his words laced with a dangerous mix of frustration and deep-seated concern. "To them, she’s a liability. If they realise she’s bonded to two royal heirs while being completely defenseless, they will hunt her down to protect the lineage."

Accepting a rogue as the Lycan’s mate? Even if the mated mate is okay with that, the pack and the Throne would never allow it.

They want a powerful Luna by the Lycan’s side to rule the Throne not a wolfless rogue.

Even if Raven’s grandmother spares her, she can’t escape the Fourth Throne.

Keiran didn’t hesitate. He surged to his feet from the leather couch, his eyes igniting with a territorial command. The heavy, suffocating weight of his Lycan possessiveness flooded the room, choking out every other emotion and leaving no room for debate.

"Let them try to cross the line," Keiran growled, his voice vibrating with a lethal, dark promise. "She belongs to me. I don’t give a damn about the council, the other thrones, or their obsessive bloodline purity. If any bastard even looks at her with a knife, they’ll have to carve their way through my dead body first." Which is quite impossible by the way.

Raven slowly rose to his feet opposite him, completely matching Keiran’s terrifying intensity. Every trace of rivalry dissolved from his posture, replaced by a ruthless, unholy pact written in blood and shared obsession. They wanted to protect her. They want her.

"They can try to hunt her all they want," Raven whispered, a chilling, dark amusement curling the corners of his mouth as pure madness leaked into his obsidian gaze. "She is tethered to us now. She is bound to us now. Whatever she is, whatever hidden truths my grandmother is keeping, whatever secrets that fragile little body is hiding, she is ours. She is mated to us."

"I will tear this entire kingdom down to ash and pile the bodies of the high lords at her feet before I let a single soul take her from me. We protect her, by any means necessary."

’They are ready to risk anything for her but not her.’

Absolute silence settled over the vault once more, the weight of the upcoming royal dinner pressing down on the Four Princes as they realised just how high the stakes were about to become.

"That still doesn’t explain the weight of this," Zyran said, his voice sharp and demanding. "Think about it. A family gathering, a simple family talk over a single wolfless mate? No way. There is something more to this."

"Yes, I feel something’s off about this too. A Four Throne dinner gathering over a mate talk? No. There must be something else. We need to find out what they are planning to do or atleast what they have pieced together," Blake said, his eyes narrowed.

Even if the elders of the Four Lycan Bloodlines knows that Adeline is mated to two Thrones already, what does it change? Why an official family gathering between Four Thrones over a mate bond? Have they already planned her execution?

Is the dinner really a trap or an interrogation or a distraction?

"No. I’m not talking only about that," Zyran said, his voice deep, like he finally understood after putting pieces together. "Adeline threw up Raven’s blood after healing, and she threw up Keiran’s blood after healing. Her body is violently reacting to two Lycan Royal bloodlines. She is bound to the two Royal Lycan thrones."

Zyran paused, taking a slow, heavy step toward the center of the room. A wild, dangerous realisation took root in his mind, making his voice drop into a rough whisper. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ

"If she is bound to both... the Prince of the Second Throne and to the Prince of the Fourth Throne, then there is a very real, terrifying possibility that she is mated to all Four Princes."

Keiran’s gaze snapped directly to Zyran, his posture stiffening as his knuckles turned white. "What? Seriously Zyran? She was mated to twin Alphas before, she was rejected by them and now she is mated to two Lycan Princes and what exactly does it have anything to do with the Prince of the first throne and the Prince of the third throne? What exactly do you mean by that, Zyran? Explain yourself."

Zyran took a deep, deliberate breath as he sat on the couch, leaning forward with his elbows on his knees.

"Have you all forgotten the ancient archives? The forbidden myth whispered about the founding days of our entire race?"
