Deviant Kings: Claimed by The Four Lycan Kings
Chapter 58: The Savage Hoodie Girl

"Don’t waste your breath on her, Sierra," Adeline murmured smoothly, her voice a calm, deadly whisper that didn’t hold a single trace of panic.
She didn’t even bother to look up at Sierra, keeping her gaze locked on the trio.
Chloe let out a soft, mocking scoff, pressing a manicured hand against her collarbone as if deeply hurt by Sierra’s outburst.
"Oh, I was just asking out of genuine concern for you, Adeline! Though... I see you’re still hiding behind that pathetic, empty void of a presence. You smell like absolutely nothing—a ghost wandering around highborn territory. I don’t know how you did it, but you are definitely masking your scent- a broken, defective, wolfless scent to save your wolfless ass."
She smirked, looking around at the surrounding nobles before focusing her gaze back on Adeline.
"Isn’t that just a little bit pathetic, Adeline? Hiding your scentless nature just to sneak your way into this academy, searching for your next desperate prey?"
Lucas shifted uncomfortably beside Chloe, his jaw clenching as he stared at Adeline, while Logan folded his arms, his eyes dark with residual shock.
Chloe took another small step forward, her voice dropping into a dark, spiteful purr meant to humiliate Adeline before the whole room.
She chose the worst person to mess with.
"What was the grand plan?" Chloe continued, her tone dripping with malicious amusement. "To beg another highborn Alpha to pity you and take you as a mate after being thrown away? After being ruthlessly rejected even after begging on your knees for mercy? But in the end, you still got rejected. Remember, Adeline?"
Chloe said with that amused tone, "Well, if that was your scheme, you’ve chosen the worst place on earth. This is the Royal Lycan Academy. Everyone here despises defects like you. You don’t belong here, and you never will."
The classroom fell into a suffocating, tense silence.
Highborn nobles whispered behind their hands, while at the front of the aisle, the four Lycan princes remained deathly still.
Lord Raven’s aura was turning blacker by the second, his knuckles white as his fists trembled with a violent, suppressed urge to tear the transfer’s throat out right then and there.
He took a step forward but stopped when he saw Adeline stand up, and that expression on her face was different.
Something no one had ever seen before.
Slowly, Adeline pushed her chair back. She stood up, keeping her hands casually buried deep inside the front pocket of her black hoodie, as she pulled the hood back, exposing her face completely.
Her head tilted back slightly, her dark eyes entirely unbothered, carrying a dangerous, chilling stillness.
"I suggest you don’t worry yourself about me, Chloe," Adeline said, her voice smooth, level, and carrying clearly across the entire lecture hall. "And yeah, I hid my scent because I actually prefer to stay invisible and mind my own business. I am definitely not desperate for attention."
Adeline let her gaze wander lazily around the classroom, taking in the vaulted ceiling, the mahogany desks, and the shocked faces of the nobles, before dragging her eyes back to lock directly onto Chloe’s face.
"Unlike someone who is so pick-me and desperate for attention," Adeline added, her tone dropping into an icy, mocking lull, "that she pulls every single cheap, slutty, pick-me trick in the whore books just to get a room full of men to look at her. You know what, she wouldn’t think twice to strip away every shred of her dignity, baring her teeth and shaking her hips like a desperate pet begging for scraps at the feet of highborn males who wouldn’t even step over her corpse in the mud."
Wait... what did she say just now? She said what she said.
The polished, innocent expression Chloe had worked so hard to maintain shattered instantly. Her face flushed a deep, ugly red, her eyes widening in pure fury as she realised the entire room was watching her break.
Adeline stared at her as if this scene was so amusing to her, as if she was deliberately ragebaiting her on purpose.
"HOW DARE YOU, YOU FILTHY BIT—" Chloe shrieked, losing her composure completely, her hand raised as if to strike.
"Chloe, stop!" Lucas snapped in a harsh whisper, grabbing her wrist before she could make an absolute fool of herself in front of the classroom.
The sharp, suffocating weight of the room pressed down on them instantly.
Chloe remembered where she was standing: right in front of the four Princes of the High Thrones and a room full of highborn lords.
She choked back her scream, her breathing heavy, her jaw trembling as she yanked her arm free from Lucas and tried to force her fake, sweet smile back onto her face.
Adeline simply let out a low, dark chuckle, a cold smirk curling the edges of her lips.
"Well," Adeline murmured, her voice dripping with dark, effortless mockery. "...I wasn’t trying to specifically point out anyone in particular. Moreover, I was just telling you about how few sluts act."
She tilted her head, her dark eyes glittering with wicked amusement as Chloe stood trembling with rage.
"...but by any chance did you accidentally, mistakenly think I was talking about you, Chloe?"
Chloe stood completely frozen, her lips pressed into a thin, white line, her fists clenching so hard her manicured nails bit into her palms. She couldn’t say a word without digging her own grave deeper in front of the elite class.
Adeline leaned forward slightly, her eyes flashing with a lethal light as she smiled, a sweet, terrifying smile that sent a shiver straight down the spines of the twin Alphas standing beside Chloe.
"No, no... no, I didn’t—..." Chloe said, her tone soft, with her sweet, plastered, innocent smile.
"Well, actually you were right," Adeline whispered, her tone chillingly soft, slicing through the dead silence. "Of course I was just exactly, describing you, Chloe."
Chloe’s face flushed, her eyes widening in pure fury.
Sierra burst out into a sharp, sudden laugh that echoed down the quiet rows. Realising where she was, she immediately slapped her hand over her mouth, muffling a desperate snort.
At the front of the aisle, the Four Thrones stood completely rooted to the spot, genuinely stunned.
They had never seen this side of Adeline.
Since the moment she had arrived, she had been silent, withdrawn, constantly hiding under the oversized shadow of her black hoodie, trying with every fibre of her being to render herself completely invisible to the world.
But this version standing before them now was entirely different.
She was sharp, lethal, wickedly sarcastic, and utterly unbothered by the highborn blood surrounding her.
And to their own surprise... the Princes were deeply, irrationally amused by it.
