Chapter 354: Rescuing the Saintess

Just then, a figure abruptly flashed into the cave—it was Yi Xiaoyao.

But in the next instant, Yi Xiaoyao’s expression changed dramatically.

He found himself unexpectedly trapped within a strange bubble of water. His limbs were bound by the liquid inside, rendering him completely immobile. He couldn’t even think about drawing his sword to slash the bubble open.

Through the bubble, Yi Xiaoyao saw Mo Qiansu’s smiling face.

The next moment, the Nirvana Phoenix Fire ignited, instantly engulfing Yi Xiaoyao’s entire body.

Under the heat of the Nirvana Phoenix Fire, the incredibly sturdy water bubble actually began to boil and evaporate. It wouldn’t be long before it lost its effect completely.

Mo Qiansu frowned, a flicker of shock and doubt in her heart.

‘Even Flame Sacrifice Fire Dance’s flames couldn’t break free from these restraints. Why can Yi Xiaoyao’s?’

Of course, she couldn’t know that the Nirvana Phoenix Fire Yi Xiaoyao had just unleashed was fueled by Spiritual Power compressed from a Refining Spirit Fruit. Its might was 150% greater than usual—how could a mere Water Attribute Trapping Technique possibly hold him?

Mo Qiansu sneered. A thick layer of hard ice instantly coated her fist, which she plunged straight through the bubble and slammed into Yi Xiaoyao’s chest.

Yi Xiaoyao violently spat out a mouthful of blood. In the instant his mouth opened, an Elixir shot into it.

Mo Qiansu let out a string of laughs and said to Flame Sacrifice Fire Dance, “Do you know what Elixir I just fed him?”

“Despicable!”

Flame Sacrifice Fire Dance ground her teeth. She had indeed seen Mo Qiansu force an Elixir down Yi Xiaoyao’s throat.

Mo Qiansu sneered. “That was a Spring Water Poison Heart Pill! By the time he breaks free, the poison will have just taken effect. I don’t need to spell out what happens next, do I?”

Flame Sacrifice Fire Dance’s face went pale. It seemed she knew what that Elixir was and could imagine the consequences for Yi Xiaoyao after he broke free.

When Yi Xiaoyao heard this, his face instantly contorted with rage. The Nirvana Phoenix Fire enveloping his body erupted with even greater intensity. He had to break free and save her before the poison took effect.

The next moment, the water bubble trapping Yi Xiaoyao burst apart in a fiery explosion. A low, furious roar echoed from within the raging inferno as a Flame Fist shot toward Mo Qiansu.

Seeing this, Mo Qiansu wasn’t overly panicked. Her expression remained as calm as ever.

‘In her view, even if Yi Xiaoyao had broken free, he was no match for her, especially before the poison had even taken effect. At most, he’d be a little more troublesome to deal with, that’s all.’

Mo Qiansu spun around. As she raised her hand, an Ice Sword condensed in her palm, and she slashed directly at Yi Xiaoyao.

“Courting death!”

“You’re the one courting death!”

Yi Xiaoyao shouted coldly. His fist, empowered by the Nirvana Phoenix Fire and compressed Spiritual Power, fearlessly smashed toward her Ice Sword.

The Ice Sword, which looked chillingly cold, tough, and sharp, thrust toward the Flame Fist. Yet, before its tip could even touch Yi Xiaoyao’s fist, the blade was instantly melted by the intense heat.

Yi Xiaoyao’s Flame Fist, now unimpeded, slammed into the shoulder of a horrified Mo Qiansu.

The flames on his fist erupted on impact, blasting her backward and sending her flying as she coughed up blood.

Watching Mo Qiansu lying on the ground, coughing up blood, Yi Xiaoyao merely gave a cold smile. He wasn’t in a hurry to finish her off. Instead, he turned to look at Flame Sacrifice Fire Dance.

“Wh-what are you doing?! Stay away from me!”

Flame Sacrifice Fire Dance cried out, struggling furiously.

“Yi Xiaoyao! You ungrateful wretch! I saved your life, and you dare to be so disrespectful to me! If you dare to lay a hand on me, I’ll kill you!…”

Yi Xiaoyao shook his head helplessly. He used the Nirvana Phoenix Fire to melt the ice shackles around her neck, then started on the ones binding her hands.

…
