Chapter 1767: Celestial Thorn Abyss!

Chapter 1767: Celestial Thorn Abyss!

Caroline noticed it, and her voice became gentler. "They are alive, Max. At least, from everything I know, they were not killed. They were taken back to the elf race and imprisoned in the highest-security prison under the control of the second faction and the ancestors supporting them."

Max slowly turned his head toward her. "Where?"

Caroline’s eyes darkened. "The Celestial Thorn Abyss."

The name made Jessica’s face change.

Even Nancy’s expression became tense.

Caroline continued, "Among the elf race, it is known as the prison that even royal blood cannot escape from. It is not a normal prison built from walls and chains. It is a sealed world hidden beneath the ancestral lands, wrapped by ancient thorn formations, bloodline suppression seals, and laws left behind by old elven ancestors. Those imprisoned there are not merely locked away. Their energy is suppressed, their bloodline is sealed, their souls are watched, and even their memories can be probed if the wardens receive permission from the ancestors."

Max’s eyes became deathly calm. "They put my parents there?"

"Yes," Caroline said, her voice filled with pain. "Your father because he was the human who dared to marry Divine Queen Caelira, and your mother because she was once the strongest symbol of the third faction and the owner of the Heavenly Luminance Royal Bloodline. The second faction could not kill her openly. Even after everything they did, Caelira’s name still carried too much weight among the older elves. If they executed her, it would shake the entire race. So they sealed her instead."

For a few moments, no one spoke.

Max’s hand slowly tightened.

Dragonheart was not in his grip, but Jessica still felt a terrifying sword aura rising faintly from him. It was not as overwhelming as when he used the Emotion Severing Path, but it was colder, sharper, and far more personal.

Max’s voice was frighteningly calm. "What did they do to them there?"

Caroline closed her eyes.

"I do not know everything," she said. "But I know the Celestial Thorn Abyss is not merciful. Your mother was likely kept under constant bloodline suppression, and your father was likely used to weaken her will. The second faction would have tried to force her to reveal hidden inheritances of the third faction, secret bloodline methods, and the things she took with her when she left. If she refused, they would hurt him. If he resisted, they would make her watch."

Jessica’s eyes turned red.

Nancy’s face became cold.

Max stopped walking.

For a moment, no one dared to breathe too loudly.

Caroline looked at Max, afraid of what expression she would see, but his face was calm. Too calm. It was the kind of calm that no longer needed rage to become terrifying.

After a long silence, Max asked, "Who led the attack?"

Caroline’s eyes hardened. "The public name connected to that night is High Matriarch Selvaria Lareth, one of the core leaders of the second faction and Seraphine’s elder relative. But she was not alone. The extraction formation was prepared by the Bloodline Hall of the second faction, and the ancestor projection belonged to one of the old monsters supporting them from behind. The Divine Son who received your stolen bloodline was hidden afterward, and his name was never spoken openly inside the prison."

Max nodded slowly.

Caroline looked at him with worry. "Max, the second faction is not like the enemies you killed here. Seraphine and Fin were geniuses, but they are still only younger-generation members. The ones behind them are far more terrifying. The Celestial Thorn Abyss is guarded by ancient formations, ancestor seals, royal wardens, and bloodline suppression laws. Even if you know where your parents are, you cannot simply rush there now."

Max looked at her.

"I know."

Caroline was startled by how calm his voice was.

Max turned his gaze toward the mist ahead, and a faint golden light flickered deep in his eyes.

"I am not strong enough yet."

That admission was calm, but no one mistook it for weakness.

Max continued, "But one day, I will be."

The cursed mist around him split slightly.

"When that day comes, I will go to the Celestial Thorn Abyss. I will break every formation, cut every chain, kill every warden, and bring my parents out."

His voice did not rise.

He did not shout.

But every word carried an unshakable certainty.

Caroline stared at him, and for some reason, tears filled her eyes again.

Max looked at her and said quietly, "Until then, tell me everything you know. Names, places, factions, bloodlines, prisons, ancestors, and the Divine Son who carries what they stole from me."

His eyes became cold.

"I will remember all of it."

Caroline did not waste any more time and told Max everything she knew, including the names of the second faction’s Divine Son and Divine Daughter.

"The one who received your stolen bloodline is called Aurelian Lareth," Caroline said solemnly. "Among the second faction, he is known as the Divine Son. They raised him in secret after that night, and most ordinary members of the elf race have never even seen his face, but inside the Elf Prison, the guards spoke of him with worship, as if he was the future ruler who would replace everything your mother once represented."

Max’s eyes turned colder, but he did not interrupt.

Caroline continued, "As for the Divine Daughter, her name is Selene Vaeloria. She is also from the second faction, and from what I know, she carries an extremely pure Heavenly Luminance Royal Bloodline. She and Aurelian were trained together by the Bloodline Hall and the ancestors supporting the second faction. Seraphine and Fin were powerful, but compared to those two, they were still not the true core of the second faction’s younger generation."

Max silently repeated the names in his mind.

Aurelian Lareth.

Selene Vaeloria.

One carried the bloodline that might have been stolen from him.

The other was the Divine Daughter raised by the same faction that destroyed his family.

After a long moment, Max nodded slowly.

"I will remember them."

Max was sure from Seraphine and Fin that both these Divine Son and Divine Daughter had participated in the Cosmic Ascension Conference and so he knew they would cross pass sooner or later.

"Max, everyone has gathered at the entrance of the Witch God Valley." Jessica said at the moment. "We are ready to depart."
