Chapter 716 - 715: Never Afraid

Chapter 716: Chapter 715: Never Afraid

Young Master Xiao was proud, but Lin Yun was just as proud. Leaving aside the fact that Lin Yun could never abandon the Monk and his other companions, Young Master Xiao’s words alone had already crossed Lin Yun’s line.

A man should only kneel before his parents, yet this Young Master Xiao demanded that Lin Yun kneel before him. What’s more, he wanted Lin Yun to leave Lu Bingning and the other two women behind. That demand alone had crossed Lin Yun’s line.

Lin Yun retorted harshly. As his words fell, Young Master Xiao slowly walked up to him. Lin Yun could sense that Young Master Xiao’s cultivation was at the Spirit Realm Minor Achievement level, but Young Master Xiao, on the other hand, couldn’t discern Lin Yun’s cultivation at all.

But what did it matter if he couldn’t? Young Master Xiao was confident in his two Saint Guards. ’Even if Lin Yun’s cultivation is high, could he possibly have reached the Saint Realm at his age?’

Their eyes met, and a faint killing intent surfaced in their gazes. Lin Yun guessed that the two men beside Young Master Xiao were likely Saints. However, Lin Yun had Saints by his side as well, so he faced the killing intent in Young Master Xiao’s eyes without the slightest fear.

"Young Master Lin, that brat was so arrogant just now. Teach him a good lesson," the Monk, never one to shy away from trouble, whispered as he sidled up to Lin Yun.

Hearing the Monk’s words, Young Master Xiao immediately bellowed, "Bald donkey, what did you say?"

The tension was already thick enough to cut with a knife. Throughout it all, Hua Yu, the woman at the center of the dispute, hadn’t said a single word. However, when she saw Lin Yun, her eyes narrowed slightly, and a faint smile touched her lips.

"Fine. Today, I’d like to see just how long you country bumpkins can keep up this arrogance." With a cold snort, the Elemental Power of a Spirit Realm Minor Achievement cultivator erupted from Young Master Xiao’s body.

Facing the Elemental Power erupting from Young Master Xiao, Lin Yun was completely unfazed. He shielded Lu Bingning and the other two women behind him as his own Elemental Power, also at the Spirit Realm Minor Achievement level, surged forth to meet it.

"Spirit Realm Minor Achievement..." Sensing the Elemental Power erupting from Lin Yun, Young Master Xiao froze for a moment. Lin Yun was about his age, yet their cultivation levels were identical.

’Since when did the youth of the Eastern Domain possess such strength?’ Young Master Xiao wondered.

However, a cultivation at the Spirit Realm Minor Achievement level wasn’t enough to make Young Master Xiao hesitate. It didn’t matter if Lin Yun was at Spirit Realm Minor Achievement; even if he were at the Limit of the Spirit Realm, Young Master Xiao was determined to kill him today.

Just as the two were about to trade blows, the Shopkeeper of the Desire Immortal Tower stepped between them. His voice was low as he said, "Young Masters, the Desire Immortal Tower is no place for fighting. If you must fight, I ask that you take it outside."

At the Shopkeeper’s words, Lin Yun’s expression remained unchanged, but a flicker of apprehension crossed Young Master Xiao’s face. He knew who the owner of the Desire Immortal Tower was.

The owner of the Desire Immortal Tower was a well-known figure even in the Central Domain. After a moment of thought, Young Master Xiao reined in his Elemental Power and spoke to Lin Yun in a cold voice.

"You and I will fight outside the Desire Immortal Tower."

With that, Young Master Xiao was the first to walk out of the Desire Immortal Tower. Seeing this, Lin Yun didn’t back down, following right behind him. One after the other, they exited the building.

A battle of this nature naturally attracted many of the Desire Immortal Tower’s patrons. Even a number of the tower’s own hostesses came outside to watch Lin Yun and his opponent.

Standing less than five meters apart, Lin Yun and Young Master Xiao faced each other. As for Young Master Xiao’s two guards, they remained stationed behind him.

"Brat, today I’ll show you that the Eastern Domain is nothing but a Land of Barbarians! Your Martial Skills and Cultivation Techniques are garbage. Even with the same cultivation level, you’re still trash!" he bellowed. With that, Young Master Xiao launched the first attack.

Employing some unknown footwork, Young Master Xiao’s figure seemed to become illusory and indistinct, making it difficult to pinpoint his exact location.

He closed the distance to Lin Yun in an instant. In just a few breaths, Young Master Xiao’s figure appeared eerily behind Lin Yun. He thrust his right index finger forward and snorted, "Golden Light Finger."

As Young Master Xiao spoke, his finger was suddenly enveloped in a golden light. A beam of golden Elemental Power shot forth from the tip, and from it, Lin Yun sensed an incredibly sharp aura.

Without a moment’s hesitation, Lin Yun spun and threw a punch. He unleashed the Black Steel Tyrant Fist to its absolute limit, an overbearing aura that seemed to scorn the heavens and earth erupting from his body.

The fist and the golden light collided. After the impact lasted for a dozen breaths, both Lin Yun and Young Master Xiao were forced back several steps.

After clashing head-on with Young Master Xiao’s Golden Light Finger, Lin Yun’s right fist had been gashed open by the golden light. The cut wasn’t deep, but golden Dragon Blood still trickled out.

Though Young Master Xiao was unharmed, his face was a mask of disbelief. His Golden Light Finger was a Martial Skill of a far higher level than any found in the Eastern Domain, yet Lin Yun had actually managed to block it.

He had expected to crush Lin Yun with a single strike, but they were evenly matched. A mixture of shock and rage twisted Young Master Xiao’s features.

Unlike Young Master Xiao, the two Saints accompanying him were even more astonished. The sight of the golden blood flowing from Lin Yun’s right fist made them exchange a glance, their eyes wide with profound shock.

"Young Master, there’s something strange about this one. Allow us to handle him." One of the Saints said in a low voice as they both stepped forward to Young Master Xiao’s side.

Hearing this, Young Master Xiao also sensed that Lin Yun was no ordinary opponent. He listened as the Saint beside him whispered a few more words. Then, his gaze fell upon the now-stanched wound on Lin Yun’s right fist, where traces of golden blood remained, and his brow furrowed even deeper.

After a moment of deliberation, Young Master Xiao finally nodded. At his signal, the two Saints moved to stand before Lin Yun, the Elemental Power of the Earth Saint Realm erupting from their bodies and soaring into the sky.

The Elemental Power of a Saint was fundamentally different from that of a Spirit Realm expert. The moment their two auras erupted, Lin Yun felt an immense pressure bear down on him.

’Saints are powerful beings who have transcended the realm of ordinary Martial Artists. After just one exchange, Young Master Xiao has already fallen back and sent in two Saints to replace him.’

The onlookers watching the developing situation all felt that Young Master Xiao’s actions were rather disgraceful. However, not a single person dared to voice this thought aloud. After all, with two Saint Guards at his beck and call, who would dare to provoke him?

"Brat, there’s no escape for you today," one of the Saints said coldly to Lin Yun. "Don’t worry, I’ll make it quick."

In their eyes, killing Lin Yun would be a trivial matter, requiring no more than a casual strike. Hearing the Saint’s words, however, Lin Yun showed no sign of panic. A contemptuous smile touched his lips as he looked at Young Master Xiao and chuckled.

"You think two Saints are enough to slay me?"

As Lin Yun spoke, two Space Rifts suddenly tore open beside him. Qingfeng Saint and Flowing Water Saint stepped out. The moment they appeared, Young Master Xiao’s two Saint Guards’ eyes narrowed in shock. Who could have imagined that Lin Yun also had Saints protecting him...?
