All the Core Disciples and Direct Disciples of Flawless Palace were prepared, except for Lu Bingning and the other two women.

"Father, Teacher..." he called out. At the sound of his voice, faint smiles appeared on Lin Xiaotian’s and Zhong Lin’s faces, but they were quickly replaced by grave expressions.

Noticing something was amiss, Lin Yun sat down in the main hall and asked, "Father, what’s wrong?"

Lin Xiaotian looked troubled by the question. He explained that although Flawless Palace had given the land to the Lin Family and approved the construction of their mansion, they had run into a problem. He and Zhong Lin had been in Wind City for a few days, but the day before yesterday, the local Li Family had suddenly sent people to stop them. They forbade any further construction and belligerently claimed the land belonged to them.

After Lin Xiaotian finished explaining, Lin Yun found the situation both infuriating and laughable. ’The Li Family? Who are they?’ He had never even heard of them.

One thing was certain, however: they clearly had no idea that Lin Xiaotian was his father. Otherwise, the Li Family would never have dared to cause him trouble.

"Father, don’t worry. I’ll take care of this," Lin Yun said with a smile. "You and Teacher just wait for the good news." To him, this matter was a piece of cake; it was no big deal at all.

Lin Yun didn’t think much of it, planning to pay the Li Family a personal visit the next day. However, seeing that Lin Xiaotian hadn’t told him everything, Zhong Lin could no longer hold his tongue. ’Those people from the Li Family have gone too far!’

"Yun’er," Zhong Lin said, looking at Lin Yun with indignation, "Your father was afraid of worrying you, so there are some things he didn’t tell you..."
