Chapter 738: Chapter 737: Cultivating the Cyan Dragon Arm

Lin Yun didn’t dwell on the change in Lin Xiaotian that night, because there was no way to prove his suspicions.

With the help of Wind City’s major families, construction on the Lin Family Mansion was proceeding smoothly. Only the best materials were being used, and at this rate, it looked like it would be finished in about a month.

Seven days had passed since Lin Yun taught Lin Xiaotian the War God Technique. For the past week, Zhong Lin had been managing all of the Lin Family’s affairs, while both father and son, Lin Xiaotian and Lin Yun, had gone into seclusion.

Lin Xiaotian had gone into seclusion the day after receiving the War God Technique and hadn’t stepped out of his room since. Meanwhile, Lin Yun spent his days in his own small courtyard, diligently cultivating the Cyan Dragon Arm.

After seven days of practice, he still hadn’t completely mastered the Cyan Dragon Arm, but his progress was immense. The only thing that frustrated Lin Yun was that the Blood Man from his Demon Emperor Technique was somehow unable to replicate the Cyan Dragon Arm.

He was quite frustrated about this at first. If the Demon Emperor Technique could replicate the Cyan Dragon Arm, his cultivation speed would increase countless times over.

’But on second thought, it makes sense. The Cyan Dragon Arm is a Divine Level Martial Skill, after all. My Demon Emperor Technique is only at the Fourth Layer; of course it can’t replicate it.’

Fortunately, the Cyan Dragon Arm was a Divine Skill of the Dragon Race. Since Lin Yun possessed a Dragon Bone, Dragon Blood, and a Divine Dragon Demon Core, cultivating the Cyan Dragon Arm was comparatively easy for him.

If he had tried to learn any other Divine Level Martial Skill, it would have been a different story. Forget how fast he could progress—it was questionable whether he could have cultivated it at all.

After all, cultivating a Divine Level Martial Skill in the Spirit Realm was considered impossible. It was only because of the Cyan Dragon Arm’s unique nature that Lin Yun could even attempt it.

To cultivate the Cyan Dragon Arm, the most important step was learning how to mobilize the Divine Dragon Power in his body, gather it on the surface of his arms, and form Dragon Scales.

Of course, these weren’t actual Dragon Scales, but rather a manifestation of Divine Dragon Power. The moment he stopped channeling the power, the scales would naturally vanish.

Seven days had passed, and while Lin Yun could now mobilize a small portion of the Divine Dragon Power within his body, he was still unable to gather it on the surface of his arms.

He hadn’t even reached the Entry Level of the Cyan Dragon Arm after seven days, but Lin Yun wasn’t discouraged. ’If a Divine Level Technique were this easy to master, it wouldn’t be called ’Divine Level’ in the first place.’

On this day, Lin Yun went to his courtyard as always, attempting to mobilize the Divine Dragon Power inside him.

Divine Dragon Power was different from Elemental Power. To put it simply, it was a unique force exclusive to the Divine Dragon Bloodline, lying dormant within his Dragon Bone and Dragon Blood.

By concentrating, Lin Yun could indeed feel the presence of Divine Dragon Power within his blood and bones. However, feeling it was one thing; mobilizing it was another matter entirely.

Lin Yun was not a natural-born member of the Dragon Team, so his control over the Divine Dragon Power was not as practiced or effortless as it would be for a member of the Dragon Race. However, Lin Yun had an advantage that the Dragon Team lacked: his terrifyingly precise control.

Lin Yun’s control had always been terrifyingly precise. This was evident in his ability to control his own aura; even those at the Limit of the Spirit Realm couldn’t discern his true cultivation. It showed just how exquisitely refined his control had become.

He mobilized the Divine Dragon Power bit by bit, consciously gathering it all in his arms. Faintly, his arms began to emit a light cyan glow.

However, the glow was very faint and had not yet formed into Dragon Scales. It lasted for less than ten breaths before shattering, and the gathered Divine Dragon Power flowed back into his bloodstream.

’This Divine Level Martial Skill really is difficult to cultivate,’ Lin Yun thought with a wry smile. He knew that expecting to reach the Entry Level in a mere seven days was nothing but a pipe dream.

Undiscouraged, Lin Yun repeated the process dozens of times each day: gathering the Divine Dragon Power bit by bit, holding it until he reached his limit, and watching the cyan light shatter yet again.

Through this constant repetition, Lin Yun was able to mobilize more and more Divine Dragon Power. The cyan glow grew denser, and he could sustain it for longer periods.

Three more days passed. Lin Yun was in his courtyard cultivating the Cyan Dragon Arm as usual when Li Tian, who was supposed to be at Flawless Palace, suddenly appeared before him.

Seeing Li Tian, Lin Yun retracted his aura and smiled slightly. "What brings you here?"

"Young Master Lin, the ten teams sent to help the Pharmaceutical Instrument Master’s Guild have all returned," Li Tian reported. "There were zero casualties. The mission went smoothly."

The ten teams sent to aid the Pharmaceutical Instrument Master’s Guild had all returned the previous day, so Li Tian had come to Wind City specifically to give Lin Yun the news.

Hearing this, Lin Yun smiled. "You could have just sent the news through the Communication Token. There was no need to come all this way in person. And as for the three of you hiding by the gate... you can come out now."

Of course, Li Tian wouldn’t have come all the way to Wind City just for that; a Communication Token would have sufficed.

The real reason he had come in person was, of course, the three women hiding outside the gate.

At Lin Yun’s words, Lu Bingning and the other two women emerged. Seeing them, Lin Yun gave a helpless smile. He could already guess what happened: Li Tian must have finally given in to their pestering and brought them to Wind City.

Mo Qingliu rushed to Lin Yun’s side and threw herself into his arms. Pouting, she said sweetly, "Brother Yun, please don’t blame Li Tian. I just missed you so much that I had to come to Wind City."

Stroking Mo Qingliu’s head, he thought, ’Well, they’re already here. What can I do?’

He didn’t scold them. They all sat down on the stone benches in the courtyard, with the three women snuggling close to Lin Yun. It was clear his absence in Wind City had made them miss him dearly.

After chatting with the women for a while, Lin Yun turned to Li Tian. "So," he asked, "have you learned anything about the Qing Zhu Association?"

Li Tian hadn’t been idle at Flawless Palace. Lin Yun had ordered him to continuously gather intelligence on the Qing Zhu Association, paying special attention to its location.

Hearing Lin Yun’s question, Li Tian shook his head. The Qing Zhu Association had been far too quiet lately; he hadn’t managed to dig up a single clue.

Lin Yun didn’t press the matter. It would have been more surprising if the Qing Zhu Association was so easy to find.

That night, to celebrate the arrival of Lu Bingning and the others, Lin Yun took the three women and Li Tian to one of Wind City’s finest restaurants for a proper meal.

It was clear how happy the three of them were to finally see Lin Yun again.
