Shu Feng stared in disbelief. "Linghu Hai betrayed us? How is that possible? He’s a hero of the Empire!"
Linghu Hai was a legendary figure in the Qianyuan Republic, a high-ranking general and one of the most powerful men in the nation. Countless Void Demons had died at his hands. He had personally slain three Ghost-devouring Demon Counts.
For such a prominent figure of the Qianyuan Republic to defect to the Void Demon Clan was simply unbelievable.
Fang Yao gritted her teeth, her eyes blazing with murderous intent. "The Star Dragon, Fengxue, and Mujing territories have fallen. Our only option now is to retreat to Liuguang City!"
Shu Feng and Fang Yao had teamed up and already retaken four cities. Had their reinforcements arrived, they could have built simple Level 1 Spiritual Ability Towers and fortified their positions.
But now, the Starry Sky Territory to the rear of Liuguang Territory had been conquered by the Void Demons, while the Fengxue and Mujing Territories on its flanks had also fallen. The entire Liuguang Territory was completely surrounded.

Fang Yao asked curiously, "What do you want these two for? Other than its Hardness, that Stone Spear has no other Extraordinary Ability."
Shu Feng chuckled. "That’s a secret! Oh, right, Master, if you happen to know where I can find a Semi-Divine Artifact, or even fragments of one, please help me buy them. I’ll pay you for it."
Fang Yao rolled her eyes at him. "Heh, a Semi-Divine Artifact! Why don’t you try buying one for me? The Fang Clan certainly wouldn’t be stingy with the money!"
Semi-Divine Artifacts and Sacred Artifacts were part of the very foundation of the Major Noble Families; it was impossible that anyone would sell them.

Shu Feng quickly left the city, slipped into a large mountain range, found a cave, and immediately entered his Base Space.

A lump of flesh suddenly grew out of the "White Roarer’s" frame. Moments later, it differentiated, forming eight eyes that spread out around the fleshy mass.
