Chapter 563: Chapter 563: Adventurer’s Guild

Shu Feng said, "I want to become an Adventurer!"

Risha smiled faintly. "If you wish to become an Adventurer, you must pay 10 Gold Coins and complete a quest issued by the guild."

Becoming an Adventurer wasn’t so simple. The fee of 10 Gold Coins alone was enough to prevent many children from poor families from ever walking this path, which would allow them to freely leave their lord’s domain.

Shu Feng directly counted out 10 Gold Coins and poured them onto the counter.

Seeing this, several greedy gazes emerged from within the guild and landed on Shu Feng.

These Adventurers were the type who would do anything for money. The rewards for many quests were less than 10 Gold Coins.

"This is the quest to become an Adventurer. Go to the Dusk Forest and hunt twenty goblins. The guild will buy back each goblin ear for 5 copper coins. Upon completing the quest, you will officially become a Black Iron Level Adventurer."

"Adventurers in the Adventurer’s Guild are divided into seven ranks: Black Iron, Bronze, Silver, Golden, Secret Silver, Legendary, and Divine Level."

"There are only seven Divine Level Adventurers—the seven Heroes who possess Divine Techniques."

"Adventurers of any given rank can only accept quests one rank above their own at most. By continuously completing various quests, you can improve your rating and raise your Adventurer rank."

"As long as you achieve the rank of a Silver Level Adventurer, many nobles will be willing to recruit you as a retainer."

"If you possess a Golden Level Adventurer rank, even Great Nobles will actively recruit you."

"If you have a Secret Silver Level rank, His Majesty the King himself will recruit you."

"And if you reach the Legendary Level, His Majesty the King will receive you as an honored guest," Risha added with a faint smile.

"Thank you!"

Shu Feng smiled calmly, took the quest document Risha handed him, and strode outside.

Several other Adventurers exchanged glances, then stood up and walked outside as well.

Risha sighed inwardly with a touch of pity. ’What a shame. It looks like that big kid is going to die.’

In the Andoras World, becoming an Adventurer was the fastest path for children of poor families to get ahead in life. If they could just hunt a single Top Level Demon, they could rapidly raise their Level and obtain a huge sum of money.

Of course, being an Adventurer was also the most dangerous Profession in the world. They had to guard not only against the Demons outside but also against other Adventurers.

After all, hunting Adventurers was far easier than hunting fearsome Demons. Moreover, ordinary investigation methods in the Andoras World were extremely primitive, so murders in the wilderness were almost never investigated. Countless Adventurers had died in the wild at the hands of their own kind.

Shu Feng had not even gone two kilometers from Dusk City before he was blocked by six Adventurers.

"Hey, kid! Hand over all your money! Or else I’ll chop off your legs and leave you a cripple!"

A burly, middle-aged man with a claw-mark scar on his face and a savage aura held a large sword. He glanced at Shu Feng, a look of contempt flashing in his eyes as he sneered grimly.

The other five Adventurers surrounded Shu Feng, drew their weapons, and sneered.

Shu Feng sighed softly. ’So these are Adventurers? Nothing but a bunch of scum. So much for that fantasy.’

"If your fantasy’s shattered, then you can go die!"

A murderous glint flashed in the eyes of a young, blue-haired man as he thrust his Long Sword at Shu Feng like a venomous viper.

"Kevin, you bastard! Get out of the way, I’ll kill him!"

"No, I’m just about to level up! Let me kill him!"

"..."

The six Adventurers suddenly erupted, scrambling over each other to swing their swords at Shu Feng. Besides killing Demons, slaying other Adventurers also allowed them to absorb Life Energy and convert it into Free Points and Magic Power.

"A bunch of idiots!"

A mocking look flashed in Shu Feng’s eyes. He took a single step and instantly vanished from his spot.

The six Adventurers’ attacks all missed.

Like a Ghost, Shu Feng appeared behind one of the Adventurers. With a casual motion, he plunged his knife into the man’s heart and pulled it out, sending a spray of blood into the air.

With a look of disbelief and Despair in his eyes, the Adventurer collapsed heavily to the ground.

"He’s an expert!!"

"How is that possible? How can a mere rookie Adventurer be so strong?"

"..."

A look of Fear flashed in the eyes of the remaining five Adventurers, and they screamed in terror.

As if teleporting, Shu Feng appeared behind each of the five Adventurers in succession, using a Backstab to pierce their hearts and effortlessly reap their lives.

After dispatching the rest of the Adventurers, Shu Feng took out his Magic Energy Card and saw that it had updated.

Kahn

Profession: Villager. Level 15, Growth Rate 1.

Free Points: 15.

Power: 3000, Agility: 3000, Defense: 3000, Constitution: 3000, Intelligence: 3000, Spirit: 3000, Magic Power: 10.

Skills: Thief’s Magic Power Training Method (Entry Level) 23/100. (Level limit broken. Current Level limit is 100.)

Stealth (Entry Level) 1/100.

...

Lines of data appeared on the Magic Energy Card.

With a thought, Shu Feng’s 15 Free Points vanished, and his Thief’s Magic Power Training Method (Entry Level) immediately became 38/100.

’A Villager’s Growth Rate is just too low,’ Shu Feng thought to himself. ’I’d have to reach at least Level 100 to advance and become a First-tier Extraordinary Professional. No wonder the vast majority of villagers can never become Extraordinary Professionals.’

Ordinary villagers also have a Level limit, capping their evolution at Level 10. Only by practicing a Cultivation Secret Technique like the Thief’s Magic Power Training Method, the Mage Meditation Method, or the Knight’s Magic Power Training Method can one break through that limit.

Because of this, villagers in the Andoras World were essentially slaves or farmers, with no future to speak of.

Only the children of villagers who were born with Professions like Swordsman, Boxer, or Thief had a chance to change their fate and become powerful.

Shu Feng’s brow furrowed slightly. ’I need to find a way to slay a dragon. Slaying a dragon and bathing in its Dragon Blood can change one’s aptitude. Other than that, the Elf Kingdom’s Moonlight Holy Liquid, the Beastman Kingdom’s Beast Emperor’s Sacred Blood, and the Holy City’s Divine Blessing can also change a person’s aptitude. If I don’t improve this body’s aptitude, future evolution will be very difficult.’

’Alternatively, I could use Source Energy to have this body directly awaken the Heroic Profession. But the resources required would be considerable.’

Shu Feng’s original body had only needed 500 Source Energy to awaken as a Hero. But Kahn’s body was so overwhelmingly powerful that awakening the Heroic Profession was paradoxically more difficult and would require far more Source Energy—ideally, Source Energy from the Andoras World itself.
