Chapter 593: The Legendary Demons’ Scheme
Chapter 593: Chapter 593: The Legendary Demons’ Scheme
"These Low-Rank Demons are so annoying!"
Shu Feng casually smashed a Flame Wolf approaching the valley to pieces with a single punch, his brow furrowed slightly.
The Legendary-Level Demons, possessing high intelligence, had scurried away the moment they saw Shu Feng. The Low-Rank Demons, however, were continuously drawn by the fragrance of the Divine Fruit, and Shu Feng was growing tired of killing them.
"Go. Release your aura!"
With a mere thought, Shu Feng summoned the Winged Flying Serpent he had already suppressed and subdued, giving it a command.
The Winged Flying Serpent flew into the sky, activated its Magic Power, and unleashed the terrifying aura of a Legendary-Level Demon.
The Low-Rank Demons, originally drawn by the Divine Fruit, all grew docile and no longer dared to approach.
In a distant valley, thirteen Legendary-Level Demons had gathered.
The Legendary-Level Fiery Flame Demon Ape spoke slowly, "That Divine Fruit is about to ripen. With that monster guarding it, we don’t stand a chance."
"How about we join forces and fight him?"
A vicious glint flashed in the eyes of a Legendary-Level Red Dragon as it spoke.
One of the heads on a Legendary-Level Two-headed Ogre spoke up, "It’s hopeless! He’s the Thief Hero and has the Shadow Jump Skill. He can leap freely between shadows. It would be useless for us to team up; we’d just become his prey."
"Demon Ape, you gathered us here. If you have a plan, just say it."
The Legendary-Level Three-headed Demon Dog spoke.
The Demon Ape explained, "That human thief, Kahn, has built a new city on the site of the Goblin Kingdom, and those Dark Elves are his people. All we have to do is incite the Low-Rank Demons to attack the city. That will force Kahn to leave, and the Divine Fruit will be ours! Afterward, we’ll split it evenly!"
"Agreed!"
The other Demons weighed the proposition for a moment before decisively agreeing.
「One day later.」
"Enemy attack! Demons are storming the city!"
A piercing alarm blared through the city on the former site of the Goblin Kingdom. Countless Dark Elf Warriors rushed from their homes and ascended the city walls.
"So many Demons! And Legendary-Level ones... thirteen of them! Why are so many attacking us? Has another Demon King set its sights on our city?"
As soon as Sariel reached the top of the wall, she saw a dense tide of Demons swarming toward the city.
Within that tide of countless Demons stood thirteen Legendary-Level Demons, like thirteen kings. They were surrounded by swarms of low and mid-level Demons, each positioned in a different direction.
"Sariel, where is His Majesty?"
Amanda had also ascended the wall. A grave expression crossed her face as she looked at the thirteen Legendary-Level Demons.
A tide of thirteen Legendary Demons, backed by hundreds of thousands of low and mid-level Demons, was terrifying to behold and possessed the power to destroy the city. Only Shu Feng could turn the situation around and easily suppress this horrific demonic tide.
Sariel gave a bitter smile. "His Majesty has gone to hunt down some Demons. Right now, only Lady Camilla can contact him! But she’s still in closed-door cultivation."
"I’ll go contact Lady Camilla!"
With a flicker of her body, Amanda shot off toward the depths of the Goblin Palace.
With a roar from the Legendary-Level Three-headed Demon Dog, the dense swarm of Demons surged toward the city like a tidal wave.
"Where is His Majesty?"
"Where is His Majesty?"
...
Fear flickered in the eyes of the Dark Elf Warriors as they looked upon the dense swarm of Demons and searched for any sign of Shu Feng.
A cold glint flashed in Sariel’s eyes. She drew a Long Sword and roared, "Prepare for battle! Don’t forget how our Dark Elf Clan has managed to survive in the Kuerlos Mountain Range!"
"Prepare for battle!!"
...
All along the wall, the shouts of captains and commanders could be heard berating the Warriors under their command.
The Dark Elf Warriors composed themselves and readied for battle. To have survived in the Kuerlos Mountain Range, a place teeming with Demons, meant that every one of them was a battle-hardened Warrior.
As the Demon tide came within ten li of the city walls, the twelve Goblin Gundams stationed on top opened fire. Twelve beams of light slammed into the swarm, blasting twelve large holes in their ranks. That single volley eliminated nearly a thousand low and mid-level Demons.
Fear flashed in the eyes of many of the low and mid-level Demons.
The Legendary-Level Three-headed Demon Dog let out a roar, and the Demons immediately scattered, charging frantically toward the wall.
The twelve Goblin Gundams could only fire continuously, blasting away at the mid and High-Level Demons.
Meanwhile, many low and mid-level Demons reached the base of the wall and began to clash with the Dark Elves above.
From behind their fortifications, the Dark Elf Warriors on the wall rained down fire on the low and mid-level Demons below.
The Demons below unleashed their own Talent Abilities, hurling barrages of Ice Cones, Wind Blades, and Flames at the Dark Elf Warriors, blasting them from the ramparts.
The Dark Elf Warriors had the advantage of cover and high ground. For every Dark Elf Warrior who fell, more than forty Low-Level Demons were slain, an exchange ratio of over forty to one.
But Dark Elves reproduce slowly, and every loss was like a knife to Sariel’s heart.
"Lady Camilla has arrived!"
Amanda’s voice echoed across the area.
"Lady Camilla is here!"
"If Lady Camilla is here, His Majesty Kahn will be here soon!"
"This is great! His Majesty Kahn hasn’t abandoned us after all!"
...
The news of Camilla’s arrival instantly boosted the morale of the Dark Elf Warriors on the wall. Her presence meant that Shu Feng had not abandoned the city.
Escorted by Amanda and a dozen Dark Elf Personal Guards, Camilla ascended to the top of the wall.
Arthur and Eliza followed close behind her.
Arthur and Eliza had grown much stronger in that time.
Sariel’s eyes lit up the moment she saw Camilla. She immediately stepped forward and asked, "Lady Camilla, when will Lord Kahn be back?"
By now, more than two hundred Dark Elf Warriors had been rendered unable to fight. For the sparsely populated Dark Elf Clan, this was a significant blow.
Sariel desperately hoped Shu Feng would return to suppress the frenzied Demon tide.
"There’s no need for him to come back for something this trivial!"
Camilla strode to the edge of the wall and unslung the Legendary War Bow from her back. A cold glint flashed in her eyes as streams of black light began to coalesce on her Arrows.
Divine Technique—Dark Moonlight Arrow!
The next moment, a black ray of light shot out like a meteor, pierced through the void, and slammed into the Legendary-Level Three-headed Demon Dog twenty kilometers away.
