Chapter 654: Saintess Susan

Chapter 654: Chapter 654: Saintess Susan

One after another, Fireballs flew from the Skill God Divine Hall and slammed into the Nine-Faced Legendary Demon. They exploded on impact, leaving charred wounds across its body.

Wind Blades, Ice Cones, and all sorts of other Magic spells continuously flew from the Skill God Divine Hall, bombarding the Nine-Faced Legendary Demon and riddling its body with wounds of varying sizes.

Mages are an extremely rare sight in the Andoras World. However, the Skill God Church has mastered an awakening ritual that allows people to awaken a Profession. Because of this, the Skill God Church is also home to the greatest number of Mages.

With a furious roar, the Nine-Faced Legendary Demon struggled violently, and the Magic Chains tightly binding its body immediately shattered. It snatched a nearby Demon corpse, stuffed it into its mouth, and began to chew ravenously.

Then, a scene that plunged everyone into despair unfolded.

After devouring the Demon’s corpse, the wounds on the Nine-Faced Legendary Demon began to heal at a speed visible to the naked eye.

"We’re doomed!"

"We’re all going to die here! We’re all going to die!"

"..."

Inside the Skill God Divine Hall, many civilians screamed as they watched, their eyes filled with fear and despair.

"Great Weakness Technique!"

Just then, a peerlessly beautiful woman with long blue hair, dressed in a silver Holy Robe, strode forward. She held a Magic Staff and pointed it at the Nine-Faced Legendary Demon.

An arcane light enveloped the Nine-Faced Legendary Demon, and its aura instantly weakened. Now, the various attacks striking it left even larger wounds.

"Her Highness the Saintess!"

"The Saintess is here! We’re saved!"

"..."

Cheers erupted from within the Skill God Church. The woman was indeed Susan, the Saintess of the Skill God Church.

The Nine-Faced Legendary Demon turned its head. All nine of its faces locked onto Susan, and it opened its vast, bloody maw to let out a furious shriek.

An incredibly terrifying sonic wave blasted toward Saintess Susan.

"Holy Wall!"

Susan cried out, pointing her Magic Staff.

A faint curtain of light materialized, shielding the front of the Skill God Divine Hall.

The eerie, terrifying sonic wave slammed into the faint curtain of light, causing it to ripple slightly.

Two Swordsmen in Full Body Armor wielding greatswords and two Shield Warriors charged out from Susan’s side, rushing straight for the Nine-Faced Legendary Demon.

"Strength Enhancement! Agility Enhancement! Spiritual Enhancement! Defense Enhancement!"

Susan cast four enhancing spells, one for each of her four followers.

Empowered by the magic, the strength of Susan’s four followers surged, pushing them from Tier Five Peak to a state infinitely close to the Legend tier.

SWISH!

An Elf Archer standing beside Susan loosed an arrow. A streak of cyan light shot out and pierced one of the Nine-Faced Legendary Demon’s eyeballs.

The two Swordsmen instantly closed in on the Nine-Faced Legendary Demon. They swung their greatswords in a wild flurry, their Sword Qi erupting to carve gashes deep enough to expose bone all over the creature’s body.

The Nine-Faced Legendary Demon swiped a claw, striking at one of the Swordsmen with the speed of lightning.

The attack was so fast that the Swordsman, who was only at Tier Five Peak, had almost no way to dodge.

BAM!

In that instant, a Shield Warrior activated a skill to protect his comrade, swapping places with the Tier Five Peak Swordsman. He raised his Magic Shield and blocked the Nine-Faced Legendary Demon’s claw.

An immense, terrifying force erupted from the impact, sending the Shield Warrior flying several dozen meters and making him cough up a mouthful of blood.

"Holy Shackles!"

Susan’s gaze turned cold. Chanting an incantation, she pointed her Magic Staff forward.

Shackles imbued with Holy Light materialized behind Susan and shot out like lightning, wrapping themselves around the Nine-Faced Legendary Demon.

The moment the shackles filled with Holy Light bound the Nine-Faced Legendary Demon, black smoke began to pour from its body. It let out a series of piercing shrieks as its power was once again greatly diminished and its Recovery Power dropped significantly.

The two Swordsmen seized the opportunity, channeling their Sword Qi and hacking wildly at the Nine-Faced Legendary Demon, severing its arms and legs one by one.

"Great Purification Technique!"

With the Nine-Faced Legendary Demon on its last breath, Susan released a brilliant beam of Purifying Light from her Magic Staff, which slammed into the demon’s body.

The Nine-Faced Demon shrieked as endless black smoke billowed from its form. Under the radiance of the Great Purification Technique, its body turned into a charred, desiccated corpse.

"Victory!"

"We won!"

"..."

Inside the Skill God’s Great Divine Hall, all the civilians who witnessed the scene had looks of excitement in their eyes as they cheered and laughed.

Susan also let out a slight sigh of relief.

THUD! THUD! THUD!

The earth began to shake violently.

There was a thirty-meter-tall Demon with eight faces; a forty-meter-tall Demon with a protruding belly and six vertical eyes; a thirty-meter-long Demon with the upper body of a beautiful woman and the lower body of a panther; and a twenty-meter-tall, humanoid Legendary Demon whose body was covered in human faces.

Behind these four Legendary Demons followed tens of thousands of grotesque Demons—a sight that was enough to drive anyone to despair.

"Demons! So many Demons!"

"It’s over! We’re finished!"

"..."

Inside the Skill God Divine Hall, the civilians stared at the tens of thousands of grotesque Demons, their eyes filled with utter despair.

’There are too many Demons! And these four Legendary Demons... they’re beyond my Ability!’

Susan stared at the four Legendary Demons, her heart sinking as despair began to well up inside her.

Normally, with the full resources of the Skill God Church, a mere four Legendary Demons would have been little more than a nuisance. But after that last battle, the Church’s reserves were completely depleted. They had no way to withstand a siege from four Legendary Demons at once.

"Great Weakness Technique!"

A defiant glint appeared in Susan’s eyes. She raised her Magic Staff and pointed it at the eight-faced Legendary Demon.

An incredibly eerie Weakness Spell instantly fell upon the eight-faced Legendary Demon, cutting its aura by more than half.

The forty-meter-tall Legendary Demon with six vertical eyes fixed its gaze on Susan, and six beams of black light shot toward her.

"Holy Wall!"

A faint Defense Barrier materialized in front of Susan.

The six beams of black light slammed into the Defense Barrier, causing faint ripples to spread across its surface.

The Legendary Demon with the upper body of a beautiful woman reached out and snatched up a nearby Demon.

The smaller Demon shrieked as its body twisted, transforming into a long spear of flesh and blood.
