"When ghosts eat, they absorb the essence from within," Zhao Yuan explained quietly. "This medicinal soup might look the same, but its essence is gone, which is why the taste has changed."

"Oh, so that's why." Lin Xue finally understood.

"Xiaozhao, what happened to this medicinal soup? Why did the flavor change so drastically?" Xue Wanyun asked curiously after she'd composed herself.

Of course, Zhao Yuan couldn't tell the truth. He had to make up an excuse to fool them. "It's like this: the medicinal soup I cooked has to be eaten hot. Once it cools down, the medicinal herbs in it react to the temperature change, which greatly diminishes both its flavor and its restorative effects."

The Lin Family knew Zhao Yuan was a highly skilled doctor, so no one doubted his explanation. They all believed him.

This, however, made Lin Xue roll her eyes.

After lunch, Zhao Yuan chatted with Lin Liqiang, Xue Wanyun, and the others for a while. A little after three in the afternoon, his phone rang. It was a call from Fang Yi.

After apologizing to Lin Liqiang and Xue Wanyun, Zhao Yuan answered the call.

The moment the call connected, Fang Yi's voice came through. "Chairman Zhao, are you in Rongcheng City?"

"I am. What's up?" Zhao Yuan asked.

Fang Yi replied, "You sent me that actress's profile last time, didn't you? I had someone look into her, and I think her future prospects are quite good. Her public image is very positive, too—she hasn't had any scandals since her debut. So, I'm planning to sign her as the spokesperson for the Soul-Stabilizing Incense and Beauty Pills. I wanted to ask if you, Chairman Zhao, approve."

Zhao Yuan had almost forgotten about the matter. He only remembered when Fang Yi brought it up.

He said, "Didn't I give you full authority to handle this? If you think she's a good fit, then go ahead and sign her."

Fang Yi chuckled. "No matter how much authority I have, the final decision still needs to come from you, the big boss. Since you agree, I'll contact her agency and prepare to sign the endorsement deal."

"Sounds good," Zhao Yuan said, then added, "Oh, by the way, where are you?"

"I'm at the factory," Fang Yi replied. "The expansion is nearing completion. We've bought the new production lines, and they're being calibrated these next few days. Once we're sure there are no issues, we can begin trial production."

Zhao Yuan grew excited at the news.

Suppressing his excitement, Zhao Yuan said, "Thanks for your hard work. I'll head over to see you in a bit."

Fang Yi replied, "Sounds good. I'll probably be at the factory until this evening. Just give me a call when you head over."

After hanging up, Lin Liqiang asked, "Was that President Fang who called?"

"Yes." Zhao Yuan nodded. He didn't hide anything, explaining the situation with the brand ambassador.

Lin Liqiang agreed. "Signing a brand ambassador is a must. Right now, even though supply can't meet demand in Rongcheng City for the Witch Medical Factory's Soul-Stabilizing Incense, Beauty Pills, and Vitality Pills, many people outside the city still haven't heard of them. If you want to expand production, break out of Rongcheng, and go nationwide, you have to build up the products' reputation. Advertising and hiring a spokesperson are among the most direct and effective methods. But this Sun Xin you're planning to hire—is she famous?"

Before Zhao Yuan could open his mouth, Lin Xue chimed in, "Dad, how out of touch are you? You don't even know who Sun Xin is? She's a huge rising star! She's played several outstanding roles in TV shows. I heard she was recently cast as the second female lead in a movie by the famous Hong Kong director, Jin Wang. Once that movie is released, her fame is sure to reach a whole new level!"

"Sun Xin is wonderful. Her looks and acting skills are both fantastic, and she's considered top-notch among new actors. Her future potential is definitely limitless! Xiaozhao's factory really found the right person to be their brand ambassador."

Surprisingly, Xue Wanyun also knew of Sun Xin. It seemed she kept up with her TV dramas.

Lin Liqiang scratched his head in embarrassment. "I'm so busy all the time, when would I have a chance to watch TV shows? It's perfectly normal for me not to know all these new actors, right?"

Zhao Yuan smiled. "Uncle Lin, to be honest, I'm just like you. I don't know who Sun Xin is either."

"Looks like you're just as busy as I am," Lin Liqiang remarked with a sigh.

After some lighthearted conversation, Zhao Yuan saw that it was getting late and stood up to leave.

Because of the phone call, everyone knew he had other business to attend to, so they didn't try to make him stay.

Lin Xue walked him out the door and said quietly, "Mom and Dad are home, so I won't go with you."

"Alright." Zhao Yuan nodded, then smiled and extended an invitation. "I'm heading back to the mountains tomorrow. Didn't you say you wanted to visit my home? How about it? Want to come back with me?"

Lin Xue immediately agreed, saying excitedly, "Yes, yes! In that case, I'll go buy some gifts for your parents and for Ling'Er later."

Zhao Yuan said, "Aren't you going to ask your parents? What if they don't agree to let you come with me?"

Lin Xue smiled and replied, "Don't worry. I already told them about it, and they've already agreed."

Zhao Yuan said, looking rather pleased with himself, "Haha, looks like they're pretty happy with me. They must trust you with me."

Lin Xue rolled her eyes at him. "You conceited jerk."

"Oh yeah? Come here and see for yourself if I'm so bad." Zhao Yuan pulled Lin Xue into his arms and leaned in for a passionate kiss.

A few minutes passed before they finally broke apart.

Lin Xue playfully punched his chest a few times and complained shyly, "You're terrible! What if my grandpa or my parents saw us? I would have died of embarrassment!"

Zhao Yuan teased, "Blaming me now, are you? Who was it just now biting my lip and my tongue like a little panther?"

Deeply embarrassed, Lin Xue shot Zhao Yuan a fierce glare. "I'm ignoring you now. Just go!"

"Yes, ma'am. I'm leaving." Zhao Yuan waved to her, then turned and got into the Mercedes G55 SUV. He gave the Bone Woman the address of the factory. She immediately turned on the car's navigation system, started the engine, and drove away from the Lin Family estate, following its directions.

Zhao Mei floated on the roof of the car, waving reluctantly at Lin Xue. As Zhao Yuan's Ghost Spirit, it had to stay by his side at all times and couldn't remain behind to play with Lin Xue.

After watching Zhao Yuan leave, Lin Xue went back inside and told Xue Wanyun about her plan to go to his family's home the next day. As expected, Xue Wanyun didn't object. Instead, she even went out with her to help pick out gifts.
