Divine War Pill Emperor
Chapter 692 - 690: Prince and Dog
Little Xixi had recovered, and Jiang Chen kept her by his side at all times.
Mr. Qiu Shui, Xiaotian, and the others stood guard at Chenxi Pavilion, never leaving his side.
He had taken precautions. After all, he wasn’t sure if Little Xixi’s identity would be discovered.
He even had a premonition that it was only a matter of time before her identity became known, and he couldn’t send her to the Dragon-locking Realm just yet.
Chenxi Pavilion was more prosperous than ever. Most of the Magical Treasures in the pavilion were now acquired from the Han Family and several other Artifact Refining Clans in Xingyuan City, then resold.
Although the shop wasn’t large, Jiang Chen was surprised by its daily earnings. Hundreds of millions of yuan crystals flowed into his pockets every day.
However, Jiang Chen hadn’t given up on his Artifact Refining Technique and still insisted on refining Magical Treasures every day.
Today, Jiang Chen was once again holding down the fort at Chenxi Pavilion.
Suddenly, a commotion erupted outside.
"Make way! Everyone, make way!"
A group of men dressed in Tang Kingdom attire shoved the crowd aside.
They plowed a path straight toward Chenxi Pavilion.
The people in Chenxi Pavilion were scared off.
Jiang Chen frowned slightly.
Just then, the group of people burst in.
It was none other than Tang Yuan, with Feng Hu in tow.
Sitting inside the shop, Jiang Chen watched them rush in and recognized Tang Yuan, the man who had recently been causing a storm in Xingyuan City.
As the Prince of the Tang Kingdom, Tang Yuan had been rampaging through Xingyuan City without restraint.
He glanced at Feng Hu, who wore a pained smile, clearly in a difficult position.
The moment Tang Yuan entered, he boomed, "Who is the Artifact Refiner of Chenxi Pavilion? Have him come out and greet me!"
Tang Yuan then sprawled into one of Chenxi Pavilion’s chairs like he owned the place.
He crossed his legs arrogantly.
But no one in Chenxi Pavilion moved. They all just stared at Tang Yuan.
Tang Yuan’s brows furrowed in displeasure.
Seeing this, a guard beside him snapped, "What are you looking at?"
"Hurry up and bring out your Artifact Refiner to pay respects to our Prince!"
Feng Hu, standing nearby, broke out in a nervous sweat.
’Even Tang Yuan has no right to be so loud in Chenxi Pavilion.’
Feng Hu knew perfectly well that Chenxi Pavilion’s power was enough to sweep through the entire Tang Kingdom.
He couldn’t help but feel terrified for Tang Yuan.
He went over and tugged on Tang Yuan’s arm. "Cousin, be more polite."
"You’re being too reckless."
’What?’
Tang Yuan’s eyes widened. As the exalted Prince of the Tang Kingdom, he was used to speaking with such arrogance.
But now, Feng Hu wasn’t just telling him to be more polite, he was even calling him reckless.
This made him extremely dissatisfied with Feng Hu.
He shot Feng Hu a vicious glare.
"Feng Hu, what are you talking about?"
"Whose side are you on?"
Feng Hu’s heart sank.
’Tang Yuan is not to be trifled with, but Jiang Chen is even worse.’
He glanced at Jiang Chen with a look of utter helplessness.
Still, he said, "Cousin, Chenxi Pavilion isn’t like other places. You’d best tone it down a bit."
Perhaps Feng Hu’s words made Tang Yuan feel like he had lost face.
’Tone it down? Impossible.’
Instead, he became even more arrogant and brazen.
In a fit of rage, he slammed his hand down on the armrest of the chair.
"Feng Hu, shut your mouth!"
"Or else get the hell out!"
Feng Hu was speechless and said no more.
Knowing it was useless to dissuade Tang Yuan, he fell silent.
Meanwhile, Jiang Chen and the others watched Tang Yuan with cold indifference.
Jiang Chen already knew that this was the same Tang Yuan who had plotted to kill Feng Hu’s father, Feng Qi.
Although it was only Kangbadu who had said so, Jiang Chen found it highly credible. Otherwise, there would have been no reason for Kangbadu to lie before his death.
So, not only did he already have a bad impression of Tang Yuan, but his expression now darkened further.
He looked at Tang Yuan and said flatly, "I am the Artifact Refiner of Chenxi Pavilion. What do you want?"
Tang Yuan’s eyes shot toward Jiang Chen. After a single glance, he shouted, "Since you are the Artifact Refiner of Chenxi Pavilion, why haven’t you knelt before this Prince?"
"And you people! Are you blind? Kneel before this Prince, all of you!"
As the Prince of the Tang Kingdom, Tang Yuan was accustomed to putting on airs.
In the Tang Kingdom, anyone who saw him would kneel.
Even after leaving the Tang Kingdom’s Capital, Lion Heart City, he still felt that others should kneel to show him proper respect.
Jiang Chen had yet to react.
But Mr. Qiu Shui and the others were already glaring at Tang Yuan with killing intent.
The middle-aged man in the Black Robe beside Tang Yuan was the Tang Country’s National Preceptor, the Six-Fingered Demon. Sensing the auras of Mr. Qiu Shui and the others, he was secretly alarmed.
He hastily warned Tang Yuan, "Prince, that’s enough."
"Let’s just get down to business."
This confused Tang Yuan. It seemed the Six-Fingered Demon had noticed something unusual.
He thought for a moment and decided not to force Jiang Chen and the others to kneel.
Instead, he suddenly laughed. "Haha, just kidding."
"That was just a joke. Don’t take it seriously."
Tang Yuan’s performance was quite convincing, as if he had genuinely been joking just now.
Then, Tang Yuan addressed Jiang Chen again. "So you’re the genius Artifact Refiner from Xingyuan City I’ve heard so much about."
"Excellent. I admire you very much."
"I came here today because I want you to refine a Treasure Artifact for me."
He launched into his demands before Jiang Chen could even speak.
Then he asked, "Master Jiang, I’m not short on money. Just refine the Magical Treasure I want."
"So, tell me. For a Treasure Artifact that meets my requirements, what is your fee?"
Jiang Chen waved his hand dismissively. "Sorry, I don’t refine Magical Treasures for people I don’t like."
"Now, I’m asking you to leave. Please."
He made a very impolite "please leave" gesture, clearly having no desire to listen to Tang Yuan’s blustering.
Jiang Chen was selective about who he refined Magical Treasures for. His creations were now priceless and hard to come by, and he had already refused countless people who sought him out.
Let alone someone like Tang Yuan, whom Jiang Chen had wanted to throw out the moment he walked in.
"You..."
Tang Yuan’s eyes bulged. Jiang Chen was kicking him out without a second word.
He was about to explode with anger.
’The dignified Prince of the Tang Kingdom, being driven away by someone?’
A cold glint flashed in his eyes.
"Kid, don’t take it too far."
"If I give you face, you’re somebody. If I don’t, you’re just a nobody."
"It is your greatest honor that this Prince has sought you out to refine a Magical Treasure."
The more Tang Yuan spoke, the angrier he became.
He even stood up.
He was truly furious. Jiang Chen was showing him zero respect.
And Jiang Chen’s Cultivation was even lower than his.
He was a master of the Martial Arts Sect Fourth Heaven, yet here he was, being driven out by some kid at the Martial Arts Sect Second Heaven. He couldn’t stomach it.
"I’ll tell you one more time: get out now."
"Immediately."
"I don’t care if you’re a prince or a dog. In my presence, you’re all the same."
Jiang Chen rose to his feet, not holding back in the slightest. He had no intention of giving Tang Yuan any face.
’What’s a prince? In his eyes, he was nothing.’
