"Yes, what is it?"

"That person who brought the two cubs to see me yesterday... I’m not sure if you’ve met him." After a moment’s thought, Chu Liangyu added, "His name is Zhao Zeming."

"I need you to find out if he’s done anything unusual in the tribe. Then, have someone watch him and report any strange behavior immediately."

Chi Yizhong pondered for a moment before asking, "What would you consider unusual?"

"Things like... words or items that the Beastmen have never heard of before."

"I think I understand." With his back still to her, Chi Yizhong nodded in acknowledgment.

When she stepped out of her room, Chu Li and Chu Yue were in the courtyard.

One was practicing her sword forms with earnest focus, while the other was fiddling with his bracelet.

"Sis, can you sense where I am?"

Without turning her head, Chu Yue replied, "In the kitchen."

She didn’t even need the bracelet; she could tell where he was just from the direction of his voice.

Chu Liangyu watched them and couldn’t help but let out a soft chuckle.

Chu Yue paused her sword practice, looked in Chu Liangyu’s direction, and offered a concise and polite greeting. "Beast Mother."

"Can you sense where I am now?"

Chu Yue glanced toward the voice and was about to answer, but Chu Liangyu beat her to it. "In the first guest room on the left."

"That’s right, you guess—"

Chu Li didn’t even finish his sentence before realizing the voice that had answered was different. He immediately dashed out of the room.

Seeing Chu Liangyu, he blushed shyly and called out, "Beast Mother."

"Want to go for a walk with your Beast Mother?" Chu Liangyu then added, "Of course, if there’s somewhere else you’d rather be, you’re free to explore on your own."

"Yes, yes, let’s go!"

Chu Li had always been a lively boy, so he was the first to agree to Chu Liangyu’s suggestion.

Chu Yue, on the other hand, looked reluctantly at the sword in her hand, clearly not wanting to go along.
