Done Breeding: Now I Rule the Beastworld
Chapter 128 - 127: The First-Courtesies-Then-Combat Trio
’That’s just one of Sister Liangyu’s clones. Even if something happened to it, it wouldn’t affect her real body.’
That was what Xiong Jiaojiao thought, but she couldn’t say it aloud. "A friendly reminder," she said. "Jinling disappeared along with Sister Liangyu."
"It’s getting late. If you hurry, you might find Sister Liangyu before he does."
Thinking back to how Jinling had chased after them that day, Xiang Qiancheng had his suspicions. He feared that something had happened to the two of them then.
"I understand. Just keep acting like you don’t know anything. Be smart—don’t let it all slip out the moment someone puts a little pressure on you."
After that one reminder, Xiang Qiancheng wasted no more words and turned to leave.
’I have no idea how Sister Liangyu puts up with him.’
Xiong Jiaojiao watched his retreating figure with a strained expression, feeling another surge of sympathy for Chu Liangyu.
Just as Xiong Jiaojiao had said, finding someone with no clues was no easy task.
But Xiang Qiancheng was different. The headband he had once given Chu Liangyu had now become a crucial clue in his search.
After leveling up, he had gained an ability: an extraordinarily sensitive sense of smell. If he so wished, he could track her scent no matter how far away she was.
An ability he had once thought useless had now proven to be incredibly valuable.
However, such a sensitive nose also caused him a lot of trouble in his daily life, so he usually kept it "turned off."
The moment he activated it, a chaotic jumble of surrounding scents assaulted his nostrils like a gang of thugs, and his expression instantly soured.
His hurried steps came to a halt. He raised a hand and rubbed the tip of his nose, feeling utterly frustrated.
’Yep, I still hate this feeling.’
The overwhelming mix of scents often interfered with his judgment, requiring his absolute concentration to single out the person he was looking for.
Chu Liangyu had told him she’d left the headband in her room, but the moment he activated his sense of smell, he couldn’t detect it.
According to his senses, the headband had traveled with her to a very distant place.
Other scents could certainly interfere with his judgment, but with a trace of his own scent to lock onto, the chaotic jumble of other smells was effectively nullified.
It was just... there seemed to be another scent, one extremely similar to Chu Liangyu’s. The only difference was that this other one lacked his own scent.
After a moment’s hesitation, he decided to trust his intuition and headed in the direction of his own scent.
"Brother, I’m doing just fine here, and I still have things I need to finish. Can you please go back first? I’ll return when I’m done."
Feng Qingqing had never expected that instead of Chu Liangyu returning, her own older brother would be the one to show up looking for her.
Xiang Qiancheng, who was passing by, saw the two arguing, but he had no time to get involved.
"You told us you were just going to take a look and would catch up right away, but it’s been two or three months since we returned to the tribe, and you’re still not back."
"Do you have any idea how worried Beast Father and Beast Mother are? It looks to me like you’re just having too much fun to even send us a single message."
Feng Su grabbed her arm and started dragging her toward the outskirts of the tribe. "I don’t care what you have going on. You’re coming back with me today."
Panic flashed across Feng Qingqing’s face. She couldn’t break free no matter how she struggled. At this rate, he was going to drag her away by force.
But her agreement to learn Body Technique from Chu Liangyu wasn’t finished yet.
Her dream of being able to shapeshift was still unfulfilled; there was no way she was going back with Feng Su.
She glanced around frantically until she spotted Hu Qiumu and his two companions nearby. Her eyes lit up as if she’d just seen her saviors.
"Help! Someone’s trying to kidnap me!"
Her shout caught the attention of the three men, who glanced in her direction.
When they saw it was her, all three of them simultaneously looked away.
"I don’t know where the Female Master has gone these last few days. I can’t find a trace of her," Feng Qiwu said with a frown. "I’ve checked every single tree branch in the tribe. Nothing."
"She’s always had endless things to attend to. She probably had to go out for something."
Hu Qiumu glanced toward Chu Liangyu’s residence and murmured the comment.
"But she can’t just, not a single—"
"Help me! If you don’t, her plan will be ruined! If she finds out you saw me in trouble and didn’t help, she’ll definitely be mad at you!"
Feng Qiwu’s words were cut short by Feng Qingqing’s desperate shout.
The three men, who had been chatting idly just a moment before, instantly appeared in front of Feng Su, blocking his path from three different directions.
"My friend, it’s not right to just drag away our leader’s guest, is it?"
Xiong Xianhui went a step further and transformed directly into his beast form, his mountain-like body radiating an intimidating pressure.
"She’s my little sister! What’s not right about me taking her home?"
"There’s nothing wrong with that, you’re right. But can’t you see she doesn’t want to go?"
Feng Qiwu, of course, recognized this as the guy they had clashed with at the auction. He remembered Feng Su’s arrogance from that day, and he had no intention of being polite.
It was three against one, and he was stuck with a troublesome little sister. Forget about getting away; if a real fight broke out, Feng Su was afraid he wouldn’t make it out alive.
With that in mind, Feng Su decided he had to leave her here for now and go back for reinforcements.
Freed from his grip, Feng Qingqing immediately scurried out of the trio’s encirclement.
Catching her brother’s angry glare, Feng Qingqing gave a guilty smile. "Why don’t you head back first, Brother? I promise, I’ll return the moment I finish what I set out to do."
"It seems that even if I dragged you back by force, you’d just run away again. Fine. I won’t force you."
"But I’m taking you at your word. If you don’t return soon, I will be back for you."
Feng Su’s words meant he was agreeing to let her stay. Feng Qingqing was overjoyed and nodded immediately. "Understood."
Feng Su gave her one last, deep look, then manifested his Phoenix Beast form and prepared to depart.
"Hold on."
The speaker was Hu Qiumu, who had been silent until now. When Feng Su continued to fly away as if he hadn’t heard, he spoke directly to Feng Qiwu.
"He’s going back for reinforcements. Stop him."
Feng Qiwu’s expression changed, and he immediately gave chase. The flames covering his body erupted with a WHOOSH, as if doused in oil.
He flapped his Phoenix wings toward Feng Su, and a shower of sparks instantly coalesced into a fiery rope that bound him with incredible speed.
The next instant, the sound of something massive crashing to the ground echoed, taking a large swath of trees down with it.
The flames on the rope charred the trees black—to say nothing of the person it was binding.
