Done Breeding: Now I Rule the Beastworld
Chapter 151 - 150: Wouldn’t You Know It, Another Winged One
When Chu Liangyu and her companion stepped into the main hall, everyone had already arrived.
Upon seeing Chu Liangyu at the entrance, they all rose to their feet. It had been many days since they’d last seen her, and their faces lit up with pleasant surprise.
Chu Liangyu, however, was in no mood for small talk. After taking the seat of honor at the head of the hall, she got straight to the point. "There are two very important matters I need to entrust to you."
"First, I need you to find some people based on the information marked on these two maps and bring them back to the tribe."
As Chu Liangyu spoke, she took out two maps from her storage bag.
After handing the maps to the people on either side of her, she continued, "In addition to the locations, their personal information is on the back. Make sure you verify it carefully before bringing them back to the tribe."
"But be careful. You can’t cause a major commotion in the local areas. As for the specific details, you’ll have to use your own judgment based on the situation."
Chu Liangyu rattled off a long list of instructions. She had expected them to have many questions, such as why these people needed to be brought back.
Chu Liangyu had even prepared an explanation, but they all just listened quietly and attentively without asking too many questions.
When she was about finished with the instructions for the first task, Chu Liangyu’s gaze swept over them. She raised an eyebrow and asked, "Did you remember everything I just said?"
"We have."
They all nodded eagerly, which Chu Liangyu found rather amusing, but their expressions didn’t seem fake.
So, she continued with the arrangements. "The group heading out will be split into two teams of three."
"The first team will consist of you three: Yu Tu, Feng Qiwu, and Xiang Qiancheng."
After assigning the first team, Chu Liangyu asked for their opinions. "Any problems? If not, the three of you can take one of the maps."
After they had all looked at the information on the maps, they had placed them back on the tea table in front of Chu Liangyu, which was why she said this.
Feng Qiwu was the first to respond. "No problem, Female Master."
Xiang Qiancheng and Yu Tu followed suit.
Once the three of them were in agreement, they all reached for the map in unison.
This resulted in all three of them grabbing the map from different angles. They glanced at each other, but none were willing to let go.
After a moment, Xiang Qiancheng was the first to speak. "I’m confident I won’t lose it, and I can memorize all the information on it after one look."
"So, just let me hold onto it."
Feng Qiwu lifted his chin, showing no intention of letting go. "Perfect. I’m guessing you’ve already memorized most of it when we were passing it around earlier. In that case, let the one who *can’t* remember hold on to the map."
Xiang Qiancheng fell silent, staring at him for a long moment. Then, catching Chu Liangyu’s growing look of impatience out of the corner of his eye, he finally chose to let go.
But Yu Tu, the silly tiger, didn’t sense the tension at all and kept his grip on a corner of the map. "I can’t memorize it either, so why don’t you say I should hold it?"
"The three of us are a team. You just have to follow us."
Yu Tu opened his mouth, about to retort, but before he could say a word, Chu Liangyu’s exasperated voice reached his ears. "What is there to fight over? If you want more copies, you can just go back and draw one yourselves."
In the instant Yu Tu was distracted looking at Chu Liangyu, Feng Qiwu swiftly snatched the map from his hand.
It was obviously no longer appropriate for Yu Tu to try and snatch it back. He could only glare sullenly at Feng Qiwu and give up.
Chu Liangyu’s gaze fell upon Feng Qiwu as she said, "This journey is a long one, and there’s no telling how much time it will take. Among the three of you, only you have wings."
"So, they will have to rely on you. But this mission is primarily about teamwork, so don’t you dare abandon your teammates again."
She had no choice. Feng Qiwu did indeed have a history of doing just that, and to ensure the plan went smoothly, Chu Liangyu had to bring it up in front of everyone.
The moment her voice fell, laughter filled the hall, and everyone’s eyes followed Chu Liangyu’s words to land on Feng Qiwu.
Feng Qiwu coughed, feeling a bit awkward, but only for an instant. He then nodded and said, "I understand, Female Master. Although I don’t know the purpose of this operation, I know the reasons behind it must be serious."
"So you can rest assured. I know how to weigh my priorities."
Chu Liangyu nodded, though she thought to herself, ’I hope what you’re saying is true.’
Chu Liangyu had assigned Feng Qiwu to the team heading out precisely because he had wings.
As for his unwillingness to carry people, that was also easy to solve. If worse came to worst, she could just have Jiaojiao weave a basket like before.
Xiang Qiancheng and Yu Tu could just sit inside it. As long as it didn’t hinder his flight, the effect would be the same.
But to prevent any mishaps, Chu Liangyu had still made sure to include Xiang Qiancheng.
The man was usually unassuming and kept a low profile, but Chu Liangyu knew his intelligence was not far off from Hu Qiumu’s.
With him there to mediate, there probably wouldn’t be any major trouble.
But this second team... without Hu Qiumu in it, Chu Liangyu felt genuinely uneasy.
But there was nothing to be done about it. As the saying goes, plans can never keep up with changes, and that probably described her current situation perfectly.
Sighing, Chu Liangyu announced the members of the second team. "The second team will be composed of Cang Yu, Jinling, and... Yu He."
Although Cang Yu transforming into an Azure Dragon to fly was a bit conspicuous, it couldn’t be helped. At worst, she could have them fly at night and run on their own two feet during the day.
"Do the three of you have any objections?"
"None."
The three of them rarely interacted, let alone had any conflicts of interest, so they all just nodded to show they had no objections.
Perhaps Chu Liangyu’s earlier comment about Feng Qiwu having wings served as a reminder, as this trio didn’t fight over the map.
Jinling and Yu He both looked toward Cang Yu, who stood between them, clearly indicating that he should take the map.
He knew his role in the team was similar to Feng Qiwu’s, so he said nothing, simply giving a slight nod before stepping forward to take the last map.
Everything had gone smoothly so far, much better than Chu Liangyu had anticipated.
As a result, her tense mood began to relax a little.
She was already a bit tired from sitting for so long, and she felt it even more now.
She leaned back slightly in her chair and, finding it much more comfortable, maintained the posture as she continued with the meeting.
The eyes of everyone in the hall were fixed on her, waiting for her to speak again.
SCREE! SCREE!...
Just then, a strange sound came from outside the hall. No one else recognized it, but Chu Liangyu knew what it was at once.
