"Three days."

Three days wasn’t a long time, but it wasn’t short, either.

Chu Liangyu pondered for a moment before deciding to reduce the quantity. "How long would it take to draw just one?"

"Two hours at the fastest."

Chu Liangyu frowned. ’His efficiency is abysmal,’ she thought. ’I’d be better off using the Trading System to find Li Jingxuan from the Cultivation World.’

With that thought, Chu Liangyu gave up on the idea of getting the talisman from him and instead took out the Heaven and Earth Soul Plate.

"Do you know what this is?"

An inscrutable smile played on Chu Liangyu’s lips as she added, "You Otherworldly Soul."

The moment Chu Liangyu’s words fell, he subconsciously stumbled back, his pupils widening in shock as a storm raged in his heart.

He couldn’t understand. They had only met twice. How could this woman have guessed he wasn’t from this world?

’No, no, I have to escape!’

Beneath his wide sleeve, he discreetly clenched a talisman. ’If only, if only I...’

KNOCK! KNOCK! KNOCK!

Chu Liangyu wasn’t blind. She was already on guard for any escape talismans he might have, so how could she possibly give him a chance to use one?

Thus, her three taps were exceptionally crisp and clean.

After absorbing a soul, the Heaven and Earth Soul Plate turned a little gray, losing some of its initial white-jade texture.

But it was only a slight change. Chu Liangyu figured it should have no problem holding the other soul.

"Trying to pull a fast one on me? You’re still too green."

With the Otherworldly Soul removed, it wouldn’t be so difficult for the original soul to regain control of the body.

The only condition was that the original soul hadn’t been devoured by this guy.

With this in mind, Chu Liangyu squatted down and checked the breathing of the person on the ground.

A moment later, Chu Liangyu breathed a sigh of relief. ’Good, he’s still alive.’

If the soul was gone, the body would naturally die. The fact that he was alive proved that Hua Yao’s original soul was still there.

Speaking of which, Hua Yao was quite lucky. Having become the High Priest at such a young age, his spiritual power and the strength of his soul body were far greater than that of an ordinary person.

It was because of this that he hadn’t been so easily devoured by the talisman-drawing Otherworldly Soul.

Since the man was still alive, there was no need for Chu Liangyu to remain.

After concealing herself again, Chu Liangyu headed toward Zhao Zeming’s location.

However, the instant she vanished, Hua Yao opened his eyes. A flicker of confusion crossed his face before he stared thoughtfully in the direction Chu Liangyu had gone.

He had felt muddled and dazed for some time. Sometimes he could even see what "he" was doing, but they weren’t things he was skilled at.

Gradually, he realized his body might have been taken over by someone else.

He had thought about fighting back, but that person’s soul was too powerful. He could do nothing but protect himself.

He had watched helplessly as everything unfolded. Just when he was about to despair, thinking no one would ever notice...

...this new leader had actually sensed that something was wrong.

If it weren’t for the leader, he feared... he might never have regained control of his body.

At this thought, Hua Yao’s heart filled with gratitude. He stood up, bowed in the direction Chu Liangyu had left, and said, "Thank you, Leader. Hua Yao will remember your kindness."

From his body, wisps of golden thread emerged, drifting in the direction Chu Liangyu had departed.

At the same time, Chu Liangyu, who had just arrived at Zhao Zeming’s door, paused her hand as she was about to push it open.

Glancing in the direction from which the Power of Faith was drifting, Chu Liangyu understood, and the corners of her mouth lifted involuntarily.

"That kid knows how to be grateful."

Chu Liangyu hadn’t done any of this expecting gratitude, but that didn’t stop her from feeling happy when she received it.

The soul possessing Zhao Zeming was clearly a modern one. Even if resentment from his home world made his soul stronger than others, as long as the possession didn’t last for more than three years, the body’s original soul wouldn’t be affected, and regaining control would be a relatively easy matter.

When Chu Liangyu pushed open the door, the guy was sprawled out on his back, sleeping like a log.

Stepping around the clothes scattered on the floor, Chu Liangyu walked to his bedside, the Heaven and Earth Soul Plate appearing in her hand once again.

Just as she was about to rap him on the head, his eyes suddenly snapped open. The abrupt movement startled Chu Liangyu, causing her hand to falter for a moment.

But it was only for an instant. Giving him no chance to speak, Chu Liangyu delivered three quick taps—KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK—and sealed the Otherworldly Soul directly into the Heaven and Earth Soul Plate.

And with that, she had perfectly captured both souls in the Heaven and Earth Soul Plate.

As she resolved these matters one by one, Chu Liangyu’s mood became wonderful.

Turning to leave, Chu Liangyu planned to head back to her own courtyard.

But then, she spotted the corner of a piece of paper sticking out from under a carelessly discarded piece of clothing. Something was written on it in charcoal.

Curious, Chu Liangyu picked it up to take a look. Her eyelid twitched violently when she saw what was written on it.

’Plan to Conquer the Beast World?’

1. Make the females produce more offspring. It’s best if the number of males and females is equal.

2. Females are like clothes. The most important thing is to fight for territory, and then...

The steps were very detailed. It even specified a starting point for implementation—none other than Chu Liangyu’s own Xihe Tribe.

He was just placed under house arrest before he could put the plan into action, which was a stroke of luck amid the misfortune for the tribe.

But one point was about Chu Liangyu herself, which made her look a few more times.

’The easiest way to take over a tribe is to win the heart of its leader.’

Chu Liangyu couldn’t help but laugh out loud when she read that line. She suddenly felt this Otherworldly Soul had a comedic streak.

’Isn’t this a tactic concubines use on the emperor in those palace intrigue dramas? I never thought it would be used on me one day.’

She had reason to suspect this guy frequently peeked at the novels young girls read, which is how he learned these tropes.

After she was done reading and laughing, Chu Liangyu burned the paper. It was a bit unrealistic, but if someone saw it and tried to imitate it...

...Chu Liangyu felt she wouldn’t be able to handle it.

Now that the two of them were back to normal, there was no longer a need for house arrest.

Therefore, Chu Liangyu would withdraw the guards watching this place tomorrow.

It was just a shame that she hadn’t gotten the talisman from the Otherworldly Soul that could sever the connection between a clone and its main body.

However, she had acted quickly to prevent any other complications from arising, and besides, it wasn’t as if she had no other options.

She could also find it using the Trading System. She just didn’t know how many Spirit Stones it would cost, and she didn’t have many left from what Lou Sang had given her last time.

’Hmm... if it’s too expensive, I’ll have to ask him for more.’

’I wonder where he gets all these Spirit Stones. It makes me want to go digging for some myself.’

Lost in thought, she returned to her courtyard. Deciding the matter of the talisman couldn’t be delayed, she opened the Trading System.
