With the matter of the Holy Tree settled, the next items on the agenda were selecting members from the Alien Flower Clan for the support mission and tackling the issue of teaching Body Technique to the females and cubs of the newly arrived clans.

Chu Liangyu coughed and explained, "I’m not as incredible as you think. I only guessed it was him because the only ones I know are him and the High Priest."

"If you rule out Hua Yao, who’s busy with the Guard Team, that just leaves him."

Xiong Jiaojiao exclaimed, "Ah!" She hadn’t expected Chu Liangyu’s logic to be so straightforward. Even with the explanation, she was still a little skeptical.

Chu Liangyu nodded to herself in approval. It was clear that Xiong Jiaojiao was skilled at delegating to those under her command.

"Good. I’ll leave this matter in your hands, then."

With the matters mostly settled, Chu Liangyu rose from her chair. She gestured to Xiong Jiaojiao and said, "Alright, let’s wrap it up for today. It’s time for us to go back."

They had been holding their discussion in the tribe’s main meeting hall, but since it was just the two of them, they had used a small conference room inside.

By now, the sky had turned completely dark. Lights were being lit all over the tribe, and their warm glow lent the settlement a tranquil, peaceful atmosphere.

The sound of the Guard Team’s passing footsteps could be heard from time to time. The noise was a bit loud, yet it brought an inexplicable sense of security.

As the two of them exited the meeting hall, they came face-to-face with a group from the Guard Team.

"Greetings, Chief!"

The guards looked excited. Seeing it was Chu Liangyu, they quickly greeted her.

Chu Liangyu was touched by their excitement, and a genuine smile spread across her face. "Hello," she replied in kind.

Hua Yao stood to the side, watching her quietly. When he saw her gaze fall upon him, he instinctively curled his lips into a smile.

Chu Liangyu’s gaze didn’t linger on him for long before she looked away.

Chu Liangyu and Xiong Jiaojiao walked together for a short while before parting ways, each heading back to their own courtyard.

"I’m heading off then, Sister Liangyu."

Chu Liangyu gave a soft hum of acknowledgment and continued walking. A few steps later, she was back at her courtyard.

However, the courtyard, which should have been pitch-black, was illuminated by a light. Inside her room, she could vaguely make out a figure moving around.

Normally, no one would dare enter her courtyard without permission.

’Could the person inside at this hour be one of my Beast Husbands?’

With this thought in mind, Chu Liangyu pushed open the door.

Before she could even get a clear look inside, the tantalizing aroma of roasted meat wafted to her.

"Female Master, come and have a taste of my handiwork."

Chu Liangyu was taken aback for a moment. She hadn’t expected it to be Xiang Qiancheng.

"What are you doing here?"

Xiang Qiancheng set down the food he was holding and said, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world, "You’re my Female Master. Why shouldn’t I be here?"

What Chu Liangyu didn’t realize was that after returning from their mission, they were not only freed from cub-watching duty, but they also weren’t needed for Guard Team matters.

This left the six of them who had gone on the mission with an unusual amount of free time, which they used to frequently show up at Chu Liangyu’s place to make their presence known.

Chu Liangyu had witnessed all of this through her clone during that period, but she hadn’t paid it much mind.

After all, they weren’t bothering her in any significant way, so she just let them be.

’It was one thing during the day, but now he’s coming at night, too.’
