Done Breeding: Now I Rule the Beastworld

Chapter 209 - 208: The Names I’ve Been Called Over the Years

Perhaps the wine was to her liking, as Chu Liangyu ended up focusing only on drinking, barely touching her food.

The other eight were in their beast forms, which made it inconvenient to drink, so only two of them joined Chu Liangyu in her revelry.

They were having a good time drinking, while the others could only watch, their hearts itching to have a few sips themselves.

Maybe she had a bit too much to drink, because Chu Liangyu’s eyes glistened, and the blush on her cheeks was as brilliant as the sunset clouds, exceptionally dazzling.

Chu Liangyu picked up her wine bowl and swayed as she walked away from the table. Step by step, she approached Chi Yizhong’s position and came to a stop.

She held up the wine bowl, a smile in her eyes, and said in an exceptionally earnest tone, "Here, Chi Yizhong. You have a taste, too."

From within his long fur, his eyes, which were fixed on hers, flashed with a strange light. He lowered his body, moved closer to her hand, and opened his mouth, letting her pour the wine in.

His adorably ugly appearance, combined with such an obedient gesture, inexplicably tugged at Chu Liangyu’s heartstrings.

She subconsciously reached out to stroke his fur and asked, "Want more?"

"Female Master, he says he’s had enough. I want to drink the grape-flavored one. Will you feed it to me?"

Feng Qiwu padded over on his claws and cozied up to her, rubbing his phoenix head against Chu Liangyu’s cheek coaxingly.

Chu Liangyu’s eyes glazed over for a moment. His feathers tickled her, and she turned her head aside, saying good-naturedly, "Alright, you can all have some. No need to rush."

After speaking, Chu Liangyu walked back to the table and poured him a bowl of the grape wine.

Besides Feng Qiwu, Chu Liangyu walked back and forth several more times, feeding wine to the rest of the Beast Husbands in their beast forms.

Her obviously tipsy state struck the others as both amusing and a little novel.

They had rarely seen Chu Liangyu drunk, so now they couldn’t help but stare.

As time passed, the sky gradually darkened. But just then, bonfires were lit throughout the tribe; it seemed they planned to celebrate all night.

Chu Liangyu shook the last wine jug, found it was empty with not a drop left to pour, and placed it back on the table.

She shook her head, and her slightly drunk mind seemed to clear for a moment. "That’s it for today," she said. "Our table is done for the night."

"I... I have other things to do in the next few days. If you want to keep drinking, you can still come here."

Chu Liangyu waved her hand and unfurled the black wings on her back. "I’m a little drunk. I’m heading back to my courtyard first."

"Alright, Female Master. Go back and get some rest." Hu Qiumu’s voice, tinged with concern, sounded from behind her.

The others said nothing, but their eyes followed her retreating figure until she disappeared into the night.

After returning to her courtyard, Chu Liangyu still felt a bit groggy, but her mind was clear. She splashed some cold water on her face, and the effects of the alcohol mostly dissipated.

In truth, she could have used her energy to dispel the alcohol’s effects, but she chose not to.

Doing so would have ruined the fun of drinking, so she simply let herself be affected by it.

Now, she needed to create a clone as soon as possible, one that could handle matters in the Beast World for her while she was in the Otherworld.

Ideally, it would have a third of her power. It didn’t need much—just the ability to use her powers simply and transform into her beast form.

At her current status, there weren’t many things that required her to act personally.

As for the materials for the clone, Chu Liangyu had already decided.

Golden Rattan Wood. That was the material she would use.

She didn’t have to go to any trouble to find it; Chi Yizhong had plenty in his courtyard.

It was the same wood he used for the carvings he made for her.

So, on her way back, Chu Liangyu had stopped by his courtyard to grab some, and now she began the process of creating the clone.

The last clone she made had been kept in her storage bag and was destroyed during her Tribulation Thunder, along with the wood carvings Chi Yizhong had made for her.

It was a shame, but it couldn’t be helped. She had been in a hurry to transcend her tribulation and couldn’t be bothered with such things.

This clone would be different. It wasn’t as simple as just infusing it with some energy and a few drops of blood.

Creating a clone with an independent consciousness and the same mannerisms as the original was no easy task.

Considering the possibility that a clone could turn on its master, Chu Liangyu was hesitant to give it too much authority.

After much deliberation, Chu Liangyu simply infused the wood with a sliver of her Divine Soul and some Power of Faith.

These two elements could only give the clone a basic form. For it to grow flesh and blood like a real person, it would also require two drops of Chu Liangyu’s own Heart Blood.

Seeing that the clone’s creation had reached its final stage, Chu Liangyu quickly extracted her Heart Blood and sprinkled it onto the wooden figure.

The next moment, a red light flared, illuminating the entire room. It was an eerie sight, but it faded just as quickly.

Unconsciously, the sky outside had already brightened. The creation of the clone had taken the entire night.

"Master."

The clone spoke, calling out to her in a voice identical to her own.

Chu Liangyu frowned. ’This feels a little weird,’ she thought, but didn’t dwell on it. She just said, "While I’m away, your mission is to impersonate me and protect the tribe."

"As for the Beast Husbands, you can just refuse them. There’s no need to get involved with them."

Even a clone will reveal its flaws after a while, especially with a group as perceptive as them.

Besides, the clone had its own independent consciousness, but it was shallow and devoid of emotion. It would primarily act based on Chu Liangyu’s orders.

In this state, the clone lacked a certain human touch, giving off a lofty and aloof impression.

A version of herself like that was not suited to interact with the Beast Husbands.

"Yes."

Chu Liangyu thought for a moment more, but it seemed there was nothing else to command. She simply instructed, "If something happens that you can’t handle, contact me through our mental link."

The clone committed her words to memory before asking, "Master, about how long will you be gone?"

"You don’t need to know that. I’ll notify you when I’m about to return."

Chu Liangyu couldn’t even predict her own timeline, so how could she possibly give the clone a precise answer?

"Yes, I understand."

Now that the clone was complete, Chu Liangyu no longer needed to worry about matters here.

Thinking of her business with Elder Yu, Chu Liangyu waved her hand in the air, and a spatial tunnel to Void Island appeared before her.

"I’m leaving. Look after the place."

"Alright, Master. Safe travels."

Chu Liangyu stepped into the tunnel, but upon hearing the clone’s words, her footing faltered, and she nearly stumbled.

’Being called ’Master’ is just too weird,’ she thought. ’Especially coming from a clone that has my exact same face.’

’Right,’ she resolved. ’Next time I come back, I’m definitely making it change what it calls me.’
