Done Breeding: Now I Rule the Beastworld
Chapter 212 - 211: Cultivation World: First Step of the Investigation, Staying
From Li Jingxuan’s perspective, he had been taken by his own disciple.
In the Cultivation World, a master is like a second parent. For something like this to happen was tantamount to incest.
In a fit of rage, Li Jingxuan spat blood as the Spiritual Power in his body ran amok. Just like that, he became a Fallen Demon.
At that very moment, the Sect Leader arrived to discuss matters with Li Jingxuan. Before he could help stabilize Li Jingxuan’s Spiritual Power, Li Jingxuan had already fled the sect, never to return.
Afterward, word of the incident spread throughout the sect, and she became an object of scorn for all.
She had tried to explain, but not a single person believed her.
There were too many suspicious things about this incident. For instance, how did the Sect Leader appear so coincidentally? And who was it that administered the love poison to Li Jingxuan?
’The Sect Leader is the biggest suspect, but if it was him, what benefit was there for him?’
’If it wasn’t him, then how did he happen to arrive at that exact moment?’
’Or perhaps... someone guided him there?’
Chu Liangyu stroked her chin, contemplating her next move, when she was met with an unexpected sticky sensation on her hand.
Only then did Chu Liangyu realize she was still injured. Of course, this was all just an illusion.
The moment she arrived, she had replaced this world’s version of herself. To avoid arousing suspicion, the Heavenly Dao had placed some disguises on her body.
’Yunwu Sect... the sect I’m in now. Since everything happened here, leaving is out of the question.’
’But according to the memories in my mind, in two months at most, I’ll be exiled to the Barbaric region to guard the demon beast seal.’
’Looks like if I want to investigate this whole affair, I’ll have to cultivate. Otherwise, I won’t even be able to stay here.’
’Elder Yu only told me to help Li Jingxuan resolve his Heart Demon; he never mentioned investigating the incident.’
’Could it be... he wants me to use this face to win over Li Jingxuan, and have him resolve his Heart Demon that way?’
’Tsk... That old man sure knows how to play games.’
However, this was just Chu Liangyu’s guess; it didn’t necessarily represent Elder Yu’s true intentions.
Chu Liangyu stood up and, following the memories in her mind, cast a Dust Cleaning Skill. In the next instant, her body was spotless, without a single trace of blood.
Chu Liangyu’s eyes lit up, and she tentatively tried using a few other Spells.
She could cast every one of them, and their power was even greater than what this world’s version of her could produce.
"So this is what cultivation is like? It’s pretty interesting, and the Magic is simple."
What she didn’t realize, however, was that this Magic wasn’t something one could master in an instant. The fact that she could use it after a single glance proved her talent was exceedingly high.
Of course, Chu Liangyu’s true abilities were still sealed. The power she was using was merely the Spiritual Power that her Cultivation World counterpart was supposed to have.
After arriving here, Chu Liangyu had replaced the ’her’ of this world, including her body and cultivation.
It was a bit difficult to understand, but to put it simply, her true self was unchanged. It was as if Chu Liangyu’s ’data’ had just been temporarily modified to match this world’s version of her.
Fortunately, she had asked Lou Sang for a large number of Spirit Stones before coming. If she needed to cultivate, it would be more than enough.
The storage bag she carried was the one used by her counterpart in this world, but there were now two extra items inside.
An invisibility cloak and a pair of boots that increased her escape speed.
These were the two self-defense items Elder Yu had promised her before she came. She didn’t know what grade they were, but she figured that since they came from Elder Yu, he wouldn’t be stingy.
Chu Liangyu gave them a quick look, then continued walking toward the edge of the forest.
"She’s actually not dead!"
As Chu Liangyu emerged from the forest, her field of vision widened. This allowed her to get a clear look at a few people standing not far away.
There were five people, two of whom were Female Cultivators. One was an acquaintance of hers: Weaving Lady.
Weaving Lady’s smiling face showed a flicker of disappointment upon seeing her.
’It seemed... she was disappointed that I hadn’t managed to die.’
’But according to my memories, Weaving Lady and I were on quite good terms. We had no prior grudges.’
’Why would this Weaving Lady want me dead?’
That’s right, she wanted her dead. That was the meaning Chu Liangyu read in her eyes.
"Ah Yu, it’s wonderful that you’re not dead! We were just about to head back to the sect, why don’t you come with us?"
Weaving Lady hurried over and pulled Chu Liangyu into their group.
The others’ expressions soured, but perhaps out of consideration for Weaving Lady, they didn’t immediately try to drive her away.
"Weaving Lady, we have other business. It isn’t convenient to bring her along."
Another young woman in the group spoke up hesitantly, clearly reluctant to let Chu Liangyu join them.
Chu Liangyu remained silent, simply turning her gaze to Weaving Lady to see how she would react.
Weaving Lady slowly released Chu Liangyu’s hand and looked at her apologetically. "I’m sorry, Ah Yu. I forgot about our other business. I guess we can’t take you with us after all."
"I don’t know how serious your injuries are. Here, take these Healing Pills."
As she spoke, a porcelain bottle was pressed into Chu Liangyu’s hand.
Chu Liangyu accepted it without ceremony. She smiled and said, "Thank you. You’re the only one still willing to help me."
"It was nothing. I have to go now. Ah Yu, take care of yourself."
The leader of the group, seemingly growing impatient with their conversation, called out, "Weaving Lady."
Weaving Lady gave her another apologetic look, then turned and left with the group.
Chu Liangyu quietly watched their retreating figures until they disappeared. Only then did she examine the porcelain bottle in her hand.
She uncapped the bottle and sniffed. It had the ordinary smell of herbs; there was no poison.
’I don’t know if it’s my imagination, but something about this Weaving Lady just feels... off. I can’t quite put my finger on it, though.’
’In my memories, Weaving Lady was the only one who knew about my feelings for Li Jingxuan. She’d even encouraged me not to give up.’
’If she were a Demon Cultivator, that would be normal. But this is a Righteous Sect, which makes this all absurd. Would a disciple of a Righteous Sect really encourage her friend to commit such a grave taboo against her master?’
’Under normal circumstances, shouldn’t she have tried to talk me out of it?’
"How strange. There’s definitely something wrong with this Weaving Lady."
Chu Liangyu put the porcelain bottle into her storage bag, her wariness toward this Weaving Lady growing.
Her current cultivation was at the Golden Core Late Stage. To advance from the Late Stage to Great Perfection, and then break through to the Nascent Soul realm all within two months, was no simple task.
’I need to seize the time I have and start cultivating immediately.’
Beyond this forest lay a small town, and the road to Yunwu Sect was on the other side of it.
Her counterpart in this world was dirt poor. After rummaging through her storage bag for ages, she only managed to find a Peach Wood Sword that was barely serviceable for flight.
As for the speed-enhancing boots from Elder Yu, they were far too conspicuous. Chu Liangyu wasn’t a fool; she wouldn’t just take them out and use them casually.
After reviewing her memories, Chu Liangyu tried to control the Peach Wood Sword. She hadn’t expected to succeed on her very first try.
Chu Liangyu leaped onto the Peach Wood Sword and steered it toward the town.
Perhaps because she was still unpracticed, her speed was not very fast.
