Done Breeding: Now I Rule the Beastworld
Chapter 221 - 220: Cultivation World: Oh No, I’ve Been Exposed
"Master..."
Chu Liangyu felt dizzy from the kiss. She took advantage of a gap for breath to speak, hoping to awaken even a sliver of reason in Li Jingxuan.
But her voice was too soft and weak. Not only did it fail to bring him to his senses, it actually made his kisses more urgent.
From the looks of it, he wasn’t going to stop. Chu Liangyu sighed in dismay. ’Looks like I’ll have to try something else.’
A thought flashed through her mind. The next instant, Chu Liangyu’s eyes rolled back, her body went limp, and she began to slide down the wall.
Li Jingxuan’s arms tightened, pulling her entire body up and holding her extremely close to him.
He chuckled, his cool voice laced with an unreadable tone. "Can’t take it already?"
As he spoke, a slow stream of Spiritual Power flowed into Chu Liangyu’s body. He was converting the external energy to regulate the flow of qi within her.
For a Demon Cultivator who cultivates with Demonic Qi, this was a risky move. Not only did he have to consider if transferring Spiritual Power would cause his own Demonic Qi to run rampant, but it also consumed a great deal of his own Demonic Qi.
With the soothing effect of the Spiritual Power, it would be too obvious if Chu Liangyu remained "unconscious."
So, guessing enough time had passed, she "woke up."
But thankfully, her feigned fainting spell had served as an interruption, and Li Jingxuan showed no signs of wanting to kiss her again.
"Go back. Here are your Spirit Stones. Don’t take them out so carelessly again."
Suddenly, the main doors opened on their own, and Li Jingxuan set her down.
Only then did she notice a storage bag hanging from her waist. It was made of black cloth embroidered with a golden auspicious cloud pattern—the very one that had been hanging from Li Jingxuan’s own waist.
He seemed to have reverted to that cold, self-possessed Immortal Venerable, but the gaze he directed at Chu Liangyu was no longer icy. Instead, it held a trace of warmth.
"But, Master, don’t you need Spirit Stones right now?"
Chu Liangyu clutched the storage bag tightly, her head bowed in disappointment.
"You don’t need to worry about it. I will find a way to get Spirit Stones myself."
"Alright. I understand, Master."
Li Jingxuan gave a soft hum of acknowledgment. He watched her for a long moment before speaking again. "You may go."
His tone was somewhat cold, as if he were a completely different person from the one who had just been kissing her.
If she hadn’t experienced it herself, Chu Liangyu would have thought it was all her imagination.
Even so, this wasn’t entirely a bad thing.
At the very least, it showed he couldn’t control his Heart Demon and wanted to let himself go completely.
A Cultivator having a Heart Demon isn’t scary. What’s scary is when a Cultivator has a Heart Demon but is unaware of it, or tries to suppress it with all their might.
Given the current situation, Li Jingxuan had likely realized what his Heart Demon was. And to resolve a Heart Demon, the most difficult part is facing it.
It’s not enough to just talk about it; one must acknowledge the Heart Demon from the bottom of their heart. Only then can the knot within be truly untied.
Chu Liangyu thought for a moment and decided to add some fuel to the fire, to make him see his own heart more clearly.
As for what that was, she had already planned it before she even appeared in the main hall. All that was left was to wait patiently for a few days.
Back in her room, Chu Liangyu set aside the books she had already read. Once she was done tidying up, she picked up the unread ones and continued her reading.
The Heavenly Dao had witnessed her earlier performance. Seeing her reading again, it couldn’t help but purse its lips, though it didn’t say anything more.
The Heavenly Dao can be formless or corporeal, depending entirely on whether it wishes to have its own form.
The Heavenly Dao of the Cultivation World has existed for a very long time and has a lively and active nature. Naturally, it had created a physical body for itself.
It took the form of a six-year-old child, but it resembled an Immortal Child from the heavens, full of Spiritual Energy and dazzlingly beautiful.
"Miss, this is the medicinal soup the Venerable One had me prepare for you. He said it’s good for the child in your womb."
Halfway through her book, Chu Liangyu heard Mu Jin’s voice.
She was holding a tray with a porcelain bowl that was still steaming, looking as if it had just been brewed.
Chu Liangyu paused in the act of turning a page. She had no intention of getting up to drink it and simply said, "Just put it there. I’ll drink it later."
’I’m not actually pregnant, why would I drink medicine for no reason?’
She had said as much, so Mu Jin should have left. But instead, she remained standing there, frowning as if in a difficult position. "But... the Venerable One ordered me to watch you drink it all."
Chu Liangyu closed her book impatiently. She finally stood up and walked towards the table where the bowl of medicine sat.
’It’s a bit of a hassle, but it’s just a bowl of medicine. The sooner I drink it, the sooner this Mu Jin will leave.’
But right at that moment, Mu Jin, as if thinking Chu Liangyu was about to knock the bowl over, reached out to grab it.
Just as Chu Liangyu reached the table, Mu Jin was scalded by the heat of the bowl. Her hand slipped, and the hot medicine spilled all over Chu Liangyu.
Her reaction was swift. Before the medicine could touch her, she had already put up a defensive barrier of Spiritual Power.
But there seemed to be something wrong with the medicine. Her Spiritual Power barrier was corroded at an extremely fast rate, and the remaining liquid splashed directly onto her.
The five-month-pregnant belly, created with an Eye-blocking Technique, vanished without a trace the instant the liquid touched it.
When one looked again, there was no five-month-pregnant belly to be seen, only a flat stomach.
Chu Liangyu’s expression changed drastically. Her eyes, filled with scrutiny, fixed on Mu Jin.
For a split second, Chu Liangyu saw a flash of triumphant satisfaction on her face, but it vanished as quickly as it appeared.
Chu Liangyu wanted to ask the Heavenly Dao to cast the Eye-blocking Technique again, but the Heavenly Dao frantically told her that the technique could no longer be used on her.
’No normal person has the ability to see through my Eye-blocking Technique. There’s something wrong with this Mu Jin.’
"You’re not Mu Jin. Who are you?"
Chu Liangyu lunged, trying to restrain her.
But the other person was incredibly fast, far too fast for her to catch at her current level of cultivation.
After dodging her attack, "Mu Jin" didn’t flee. Instead, as she reached the doorway, she seemed to stumble in a panic and fell to the ground.
And she cried out, "Your Eminence, save me!"
Hearing this cry, Chu Liangyu instantly understood. She glanced down at her own flat stomach, and her expression grew even uglier.
In this situation, there was no way to hide it anymore. Before Li Jingxuan could discover her deception, Chu Liangyu’s only option was to escape.
But this was clearly all a setup. Just as Chu Liangyu rushed out the door, she slammed right into someone’s chest.
The immense force of the impact sent her stumbling backward, but a pair of hands immediately pulled her back, the rebound causing her to crash into the person’s chest once again.
A familiar, cool scent. In an instant, Chu Liangyu knew who it was.
Chu Liangyu’s body stiffened involuntarily. She subconsciously buried her face in his chest, not daring to lift her head and meet his gaze.
"Your Eminence, the miss was trying to kill me! Please, save me!"
