Done Breeding: Now I Rule the Beastworld
Chapter 226 - 225: Cultivation World: An Inescapable Fate - Wen Yan
"Don’t tell me, this is the ’Land of Bliss’ you were talking about?"
"Mr. Wen, don’t look so disgusted! Just give it a try. You’ll understand what I mean by ’bliss’ once you’ve experienced it."
Wen Yan shot him an impatient glance. ’Looks like I misjudged again,’ he thought, ’and befriended a lecher.’
"Don’t look at me like that. I can tell you’ve never experienced ’that kind of thing’ before, which is why you’re so against it."
"Everyone here gets what they need. It’s not like the Mortal Realm where people are forced. Don’t be so prejudiced."
Wen Yan’s face darkened, and he didn’t reply, clearly disapproving of his friend’s words.
Seeing his expression, the man sighed. "You know my family situation," he said. "I’m not short on money. I just brought you here to have some fun. If you’re really against it, you can just leave."
"But if you leave, I’m afraid I won’t be able to give you the information you want about that woman."
This man’s family specialized in gathering and selling information.
This included personal details about Cultivators and the locations of treasures in mystic realms. Because of this, the family was incredibly wealthy and certainly not lacking in Spirit Stones.
Wen Yan sighed, his expression softening. "I never said I was leaving."
"Heh heh, that’s more like it! I heard a newcomer arrived today who’s an absolute stunner. Come on, I’ll take you to see for yourself."
Wen Yan followed behind him, though he had little interest in the newcomer his friend mentioned.
Lan Yue Pavilion truly lived up to its reputation as the largest brothel in the Cultivation World. Not only were numerous Spatial Arrays set up everywhere, but the entire place was illuminated by Luminous Pearls, which were incredibly rare and found only in the deep sea.
The two of them went straight up to the sixth floor. A Female Cultivator dressed as a maid stood in the hallway, as if she had been expecting them.
After a brief exchange of pleasantries, the Female Cultivator led them toward a room.
And inside that room was, coincidentally, none other than Chu Liangyu. After her captors had cleaned and dressed her up, they had drugged her, making it impossible for her to use her Spiritual Power.
On top of that, her whole body felt weak and limp, completely devoid of strength.
Sighing in despair, Chu Liangyu wondered, ’Has it been this long already? Did I overestimate my importance to Li Jingxuan? Does he not care if I live or die?’
’But based on my observations of Li Jingxuan these past few days, there’s a ninety percent chance he’ll come.’
’Oh well, I’ll just wait a little longer. If he doesn’t show up, I’ll have to think of another way out. I can’t let myself fall in a place like this.’
"Mr. Wen, this one is prepared for you. I won’t be going in."
Hearing the teasing laughter in his voice, Wen Yan looked slightly uncomfortable, but he still nodded. "Alright, I understand."
Wen Yan’s movements were a little stiff as he slowly pushed the door open. Under the watchful eyes of the two people outside, he had no choice but to steel himself and walk inside.
The room was dimly lit. Light-colored gauze curtains hung in many places, which, far from being tacky, gave the space an ethereal, otherworldly feel.
However, combined with the dim, yellowed light, it also carried a hint of worldly warmth and comfort.
Sensing someone had entered, Chu Liangyu stirred slightly, her eyes brightening. But just as joy filled her heart, the Heavenly Dao told her it wasn’t Li Jingxuan.
Chu Liangyu clicked her tongue. A look of boredom crossed her face, and she turned her gaze away.
The window was open, and a gentle breeze blew in, causing the sheer robes on Chu Liangyu’s body to drift with it.
It seemed as if one could faintly glimpse the scenery within, but this was just a small design trick. Underneath, Chu Liangyu was wearing a non-transparent fabric that matched her skin tone.
The white gauze she wore on the outside was merely to enhance the visual effect.
In this regard, it was a bit better than the brothels in the Mortal Realm. But in Chu Liangyu’s eyes, it was just another layer of pretense.
’Their methods are still so crude.’
"Rest assured, I’m not going to do anything to you. I just need to sit here for a little while. I hope you don’t mind."
Before he even got a clear look at the figure on the blanket by the window, he sat down at the table, his movements slightly awkward.
Chu Liangyu’s dazed expression suddenly changed. ’Why does that voice sound so familiar?’
Subconsciously, Chu Liangyu turned her gaze toward the speaker.
At that moment, another gust of wind blew in, parting the obscuring gauze curtains and allowing her to see the man’s face more clearly.
"You..."
"What is it?"
Perhaps feeling her gaze, or perhaps wondering why she had stopped speaking mid-sentence, Wen Yan looked over at her as well.
Chu Liangyu did her best to school her expression, trying to calm herself down.
’That day at the Treasure Pavilion, I was wearing a mask to hide my identity. Wen Yan shouldn’t know what I look like.’
"It’s you!"
Unexpectedly, Wen Yan shot up from his seat. From his agitated expression, it seemed he had recognized her.
"You know me?" Chu Liangyu asked aloud, puzzled.
"I do. We met at the Treasure Pavilion. But... how did you end up in a place like this?"
Ignoring the worry on Wen Yan’s face, Chu Liangyu frowned. "I was wearing a mask that day. How could you possibly recognize me? Don’t tell me you had someone investigate my identity?"
"No, that’s not it! I have a treasure given to me by a family elder. It can see through anyone’s disguise and cultivation."
Thinking of something, the man, who had just been explaining himself with such conviction, suddenly seemed to lose his nerve.
After all, he had indeed asked someone to look into her identity.
"This really is no place for you. Since we’ve met, I’ll definitely get you out of here."
Wen Yan moved closer to her, reaching out to pull her up. But when he saw what Chu Liangyu was wearing, his face instantly flushed red.
His outstretched hand froze in mid-air, and he quickly turned his head away.
"I think I have a spare Magic Robe. Wait a moment."
A moment later, his hand trembling slightly, he took out a set of clothes and offered them to Chu Liangyu, his eyes still avoiding hers.
Chu Liangyu looked at the clothes in his hand but didn’t move for a long time.
"Miss?"
Wen Yan thought she was refusing them out of distaste and explained, "They’re new. I’ve never worn them."
Chu Liangyu looked him up and down, then let out a soft sigh, as if resigning herself to her fate.
How could she not? Meeting under these circumstances could only mean their karmic threads were not yet severed.
"I’ve been drugged. I can’t move. Could I trouble you to help me put them on?"
Wen Yan’s face turned an even deeper shade of red, and even his ears looked like they were about to bleed.
"Then... please forgive my impertinence."
Wen Yan held the outer robe in his hands, but now that it was time to actually do it, he had no idea what the next step should be.
"First, help me sit up. Then you can put the robe on me."
Chu Liangyu glanced at him, immediately saw his predicament, and began to give him instructions.
