Chapter 251: Chapter 250: Another Space

Many hands made for light work; the group finished cleaning up in less than ten minutes.

“Sister Liangyu, we’ll be heading back now.”

Noticing the exhaustion on Chu Liangyu’s face, Xiong Jiaojiao skipped the pleasantries, waved, and left with the others.

“Okay.”

After watching them leave, Chu Liangyu returned to her room. Surprisingly, after the lively gathering, the quiet felt a little strange.

After composing herself for a moment, Chu Liangyu took out the Cultivation Technique books to read.

Aside from the Purple Thunder Technique, Chu Liangyu was most interested in practical Magic like the Dust Cleaning Skill.

It didn’t deal much damage, but its usefulness in daily life was undeniable.

Besides, no one in the Beast World had ever seen it before. Using it would definitely astound everyone.

‘This might be a bit shallow,’ but it was genuinely a huge source of her motivation.

‘The All Things Rejuvenation Technique?’

It turned out to be a type of Magic primarily studied by Medical Cultivators, specializing in healing wounds.

This type of Magic didn’t just heal human wounds; it was also effective on demon beasts.

Even though it was very basic Magic, Chu Liangyu was engrossed.

‘The biggest reason,’ she thought, ‘is probably because the people of our Beast World don’t study this. Our combat methods rely mostly on experience and instinct.’

And such combat was, by its nature, incredibly violent and bloody.

Chu Liangyu had grown accustomed to this way of life. Experiencing a different style of techniques for the first time, she felt a surge of curiosity and novelty.

She had thought the techniques she’d devised were already quite flashy, but it wasn’t until she saw Li Jingxuan fight that she realized hers were nothing in comparison.

What had impressed her most was the scene where Li Jingxuan summoned tens of thousands of longsword phantoms. Never mind that the phantoms could become solid—after all, she could do that too.

But what truly stunned her was that the sword phantoms Li Jingxuan summoned could shift into formations, from which countless Flying Swords would charge out.

She had been incredibly envious the first time she saw it, but it was his personal cultivation secret, so she couldn’t very well ask about it.

She read on, losing all track of time, until the sun had already risen on the second day.

Sunlight streamed through the window into the dimly lit room, and only when the light fell upon the book in her hands did Chu Liangyu realize she had been reading all night.

But perhaps because she was mostly running on excitement, she didn’t feel tired at all, aside from her eyes being a bit dry.

She had already handled matters in the Land of No Worries yesterday, but because new Contract Books were generated every day, and with the Beast World’s operations being unstable, she needed to check in daily.

Chu Liangyu used the Dust Cleaning Skill she had just learned to freshen up. Feeling much more clear-headed, she entered the Land of No Worries.

The process was the same as before, but with the experience she’d gained, she was able to handle things much faster today.

She finished everything in less than half a day.

But she wasn’t in a hurry to leave the space. It was fully equipped with writing materials and, more importantly, it was quiet and free from distractions.

It was time for her to start planning the subjugation of the other tribes, and conveniently, there was a miniature projection of the Beast World map here.

By analyzing the terrain and the operational status of various regions, Chu Liangyu easily drew up a route map.

Of course, in addition to these factors, she also incorporated her plan to inspect the Beast World Barrier.

Since she was going to be traveling all over the place anyway, she might as well kill two birds with one stone.

But she still had to work out the details. After all, as the ancient saying goes, an army cannot advance without its provisions.

The Beastmen were physically impressive, but they still needed to eat.

The Beast World was vast; unifying the tribes wasn’t something that could be done in a short time, nor could Chu Liangyu do it alone.

Her ten Beast Husbands were all powerful, and in this matter, they would be her greatest assets.

However, each Beast Husband had a unique personality and temperament. Maximizing their effectiveness would not be an easy task.

Lost in thought, the hand holding her brush hovered in mid-air, unmoving.

…

And so, every day after finishing her tasks, she would spend some time in the Wuyou Space.

After about a month, she finally had a detailed plan.

It was too extensive to be covered in a single meeting. After some thought, Chu Liangyu decided to summon the key personnel for each part of the plan and brief them separately.

The plan involved all ten of her Beast Husbands, but Feng Qiwu and Yu Tu, who were out searching for the cubs, had not yet returned.

Since their roles were all interconnected, Chu Liangyu decided she wasn’t in a hurry to call the meeting after all.

Still, she found it strange. In the entire month, they hadn’t sent back a single piece of news.

‘Could something have happened to them?’

Feeling a little worried, Chu Liangyu contacted her avatar. Through the avatar’s eyes, she could see her surroundings clearly.

“What are you doing here?”

The avatar stood on high ground, gazing down at the sparse, old houses in the mountain hollow. It was obviously an uninhabited place, yet she had been standing there, watching, for a long time.

After a moment, the avatar replied, “I was passing by and sensed a strange aura. I couldn’t pinpoint the cause, so I came to investigate.”

“Do you remember the task I gave you?”

Chu Liangyu frowned, displeased that her avatar had acted on its own initiative.

“I know, Leader. I recently tracked the disappearances of the Phoenix cub and the White Tiger Cub to this area, but I haven’t been able to find their exact location.”

“This place just felt the most unusual, so I came to see if I could find any clues.”

‘Unusual?’

Chu Liangyu had only given the scene a cursory glance and hadn’t paid much attention to the details.

Hearing her avatar mention something unusual, she began to carefully examine the houses below.

It wasn’t that the houses themselves were special, but the entire hollow gave off a very strange feeling.

Looking closely, she could see that everything, including the houses, seemed to be in a state of suspended animation.

In particular, a wooden plank on one roof was jutting out more than halfway; it should have fallen long ago.

And with the light rain now falling, it definitely should have dropped.

The rain fell continuously, yet it seemed to have no effect on anything within the hollow.

It felt as if it were a separate space entirely.

Now, Chu Liangyu also sensed that something was wrong. Her tone grew grave as she asked her avatar, “Are you sure the cubs disappeared near here?”

“I’m sure.”

Chu Liangyu pondered for a moment before asking, “The cubs’ Beast Fathers came looking for them too. Have you run into them?”

“I haven’t, but I heard from the local Beastmen yesterday that two new faces have shown up recently. I’m guessing it’s them.”

If the two of them had arrived here before her avatar, they were most likely nearby, which was the best-case scenario.

Chu Liangyu’s biggest worry was that, in their search for the cubs, the two of them had already entered the hollow below.

“This is all just speculation. First, investigate and find out everything you can about this place.”
