Chapter 445: Perpetual Darkness World’s World Borders And World Void

{Hint Prompt: The First Spatial Gate within Eternal Darkness Island leads to the world dominated by the ratman race. The ratman are a race of bipedal rats covered in rat hair and have a distinctive rat head. They are capable of starting a civilization but have a great preference for establishing their society below the surface.}

{Hint Prompt: The majority of the ratman race are hostile to not only humans, but also to other races. However, some individuals among them have fewer issues with racial differences and are willing to communicate and trade with other races.}

Reading the Hint Prompts, Zayne lost interest when he discovered that the world on the other side of the Eternal Darkness Island’s First Spatial Gate was dominated by the ratman race.

He wasn’t unfamiliar with the ratman race. After all, he and the Zenith Train Crew had traveled through countless worlds in the Second Doomsday Life Simulation.

A few of the World Globes he had collected and displayed within the World Globe Display World Carriage even have ratman races living within them.

’Sigh, these ratmen aren’t too valuable. Unlike elves, they can’t be used as magic batteries. Unlike dragons, their bodies don’t contain valuable materials.’

’At most, the value of these ratmen is being used as mining slaves. However, using them as slaves for mining is way too inefficient compared to the robot miners created by Cecilia’s XX-rank Machine God Genesis innate talent.’

’Well, I guess I’ll just make use of the ratman race’s world as an experimental testing ground. There are bound to be dark monsters that have unusual abilities and properties, and I can relocate those unusual dark monsters to the ratman race’s world to test out their effect on living beings.’

’After all, as the Human Race’s Half-Step Primordial Human, I at least identify as a human and I’m more resistant to using humans as test subjects. Although Cecilia and Magnus don’t have such problems, as they’d use anything and anyone who aren’t their allies as their test subjects.’

While Zayne had such thoughts, he decided to make use of the World Radar to detect all the Spatial Gates that were present in the First Day of Perpetual Darkness.

Without Spatial Gates, the only way for normal humans to travel to other worlds was through the World Borders that were located at the end of the world.

After all, Main World Terra was no longer an oblate spheroid but a flat plane. It already had four corners and four sides. The sides on the lower part of this flat plane weren’t included as they were merely treated as a nonexistent void.

If a Terran Survivor managed to dig through from the surface up to the deepest part of this world, they’d pierce through this flat plane and fall at the end of the world.

In other words, there were five recognized ends of the worlds. They were the four World Borders and the fifth World Void. The World Void was located at the deepest part of this flat plane.

However, for most Survivors, it was nearly impossible to arrive at the World Void. The deeper it was underground, the greater the durability of the earth layers, making it much more difficult to dig through.

Of course, passing through the World Void was actually a much safer way to travel to another world than the World Borders. The World Borders had the same issues as those newly formed spatial gates, which were that they had potent spatial turbulence.

However, unlike newly formed spatial gates that would stabilize later on, the spatial turbulence present within the World Border wouldn’t eventually become permanently stable.

Instead, there would be intervals that would inconsistently make the spatial tunnel leading to both sides of the World Border stable, and oftentimes, they weren’t stable.

Moreover, unless someone had a specific world coordinate, there was a decent chance that the same World Border would lead to different worlds if one were to enter it at different time intervals, due to the random branching out of spatial tunnels.

Zayne had discovered it after observing the essence of those World Borders, as well as confirming his speculations via the Hint Prompt.

After observing the four World Borders and one World Void, Zayne’s World Radar had detected that there were six spatial gates in total.

’Aside from the Spatial Gate located within the cavern system of the Eternal Darkness Island, there are four other Spatial Gates located among the Forbidden Zones. Aside from the Eternal Darkness Island, the Forbidden Zone that Jade is in, as well as three other Forbidden Zones, has one Spatial Gate each.’

’As for the sixth Spatial Gate, it seemed to be located within the underground cavern located within the mountain near Arthur’s house.’

Discovering the location of the sixth spatial gate, Zayne couldn’t help but commend, ’As expected of the Top 3 Survivor. The World Will has truly taken care of him and favored him well, placing one Spatial Gate near his location.’

’Not to mention, compared to the Spatial Gate located within the Forbidden Zones, the sixth Spatial Gate is much stabler, and it will only take the Fourth Day of Perpetual Darkness for it to be stable enough for a normal human to travel through it.’

Recalling Arthur’s SSS-rank Rank Upper innate talent, Zayne decided, ’Before reuniting with Jade, I might as well take this time to prepare a gift for her.’

’The SSS-rank Rank Upper held by Arthur, as well as Green’s SSS-rank Devouring Beast, would suffice.’

After making this decision, Zayne didn’t hesitate to use his Bloodline Magic: Absolute Boundary.
