Chapter 1116: Chapter 1108: Aiden Shaw Is in Trouble 2
Skye Dawson rationally grabbed Perry White from behind: "My dear Miss, that man is going in for surgery, why are you meddling? You’re injured too, quickly tend to your wounds. Right now, the most important concern isn’t that man, but yourself. Look at how much blood you’re losing."
Skye Dawson worriedly watched her, completely focused on rushing in, a sight rarely seen.
A man had completely entranced her.
The surgery door closed, and Perry White felt somewhat disappointed.
She had only been with Aiden Shaw for half an hour, wishing time could last a bit longer.
Even being apart for this moment made her feel uncomfortable all over.
She thought, this is love.
Perry White looked at Skye Dawson, somewhat excited: "Darling, do you know that Aiden Shaw and I are fated? Fate brought us together, allowed me to save him; otherwise, how could I have run into him when I’m so far away overseas."
She imagined it beautifully.
Before, when she was in the country, anywhere Aiden Shaw was, there was bound to be brilliant light, and she could only admire from afar, never daring to come close.
The only time they had close contact was at his company’s celebration banquet.
She was wearing a pair of high heels that she really liked but didn’t fit well and stood for over two hours.
Her heel got blistered, bleeding, and after the banquet ended, she crouched at the poolside with a pale face.
Back then, Aiden Shaw passed by, saw her rubbing her heel, and had his assistant buy her a pair of sneakers.
She remembered clearly, Aiden Shaw’s handsome features, deep hazel eyes, and his husky magnetic voice.
It only took one glance to remember for a lifetime.
Though they hadn’t exchanged many words, he might have forgotten about her.
But just now, when she held his hand, he subconsciously held back.
She felt that Aiden Shaw remembered her.
An unbidden joy filled her heart.
And great anticipation.
"Grandma, quickly take care of your wounds, don’t daze off." Skye Dawson had someone send Perry White down to the emergency room to check her wounds.
Perry White didn’t want to have scars; she was doing so much for Aiden Shaw purely because of her feelings for him.
But to make Aiden Shaw love her, she had to look beautiful, with not a blemish on her skin.
Perry White lay on the hospital bed, finally realizing how much she hurt, with cold sweat dotting her forehead.
But recalling the sensation of touching Aiden Shaw’s palm made everything feel worth it.
She smiled slightly, raising the corners of her mouth.
The doctor took out scissors to cut open her clothes, tugging at her wound; she could no longer smile.
She let out a muffled groan, frowned deeply, and clutched the sheets.
"Doctor, is it serious?" Perry White anxiously asked.
It hurt too much; she couldn’t help but doubt.
The doctor cut away her clothing, revealing skin that was bloody and mangled.
Perry White had many wounds on her back, with shards of glass embedded in her skin.
"The wounds are very serious, already a stage two burn," said the doctor.
Perry White’s heart tightened: "Will it leave scars, and later on leave marks?"
The doctor paused: "Scarring is certain, the wounds are too severe."
Perry White’s eyes reddened: "But I don’t want scars, they’re too ugly. I’d rather die than have scars."
Especially after meeting Aiden Shaw, she felt she had to be perfect from head to toe.
If scars remain, Aiden Shaw might disdain her in the future.
Her emotions were slightly unraveling, agitated, her mind constantly short-circuiting.
The doctor comforted her emotions: "Miss, don’t worry, first let the wounds heal. After they heal, you can have skin graft surgery. Nowadays, medical technology is advanced, and with proper care, the skin on your back can still be as good as before."
