Chapter 1119: Chapter 1111: Aiden Shaw Is in Trouble 5

The surgical lights finally fell after the curtain call.

Aiden Shaw was pushed out from the operating room.

Perry White wanted to be by his side right away, ignoring her own injuries, she got out of bed and ran to the operating room entrance to wait for him.

Her obsessive and impulsive behavior made Skye Dawson very displeased.

Her injuries were important too.

But at this moment, Perry would listen to no one.

"Aiden." Perry leaned against the gurney, seeing his pale and handsome face, she felt heartache as tears overflowed from her eyes: "You’ve suffered."

Skye sighed: "You’re also hurt, isn’t it normal for a man to get hurt a little too?"

Perry pouted: "Aiden’s leg is broken, isn’t that injury more serious than mine? I just want him healthy, I can withstand all the pain."

Perry’s near-extreme state was something Skye rarely saw.

It seemed that since meeting this man, the charming and captivating Perry had disappeared.

All that remained was humility and clinginess.

Perry followed Aiden Shaw to his ward, sitting beside the bed waiting for him to wake up.

While Skye set up the IV bottle for her, watching her from the side.

Clearly, she was so injured yet wanted to see Aiden the first moment possible, and didn’t even want to continue with the infusion.

Luckily, she persuaded her and brought her over.

Thinking back to the moment in the operating room when Aiden Shaw grasped her hand for a moment, Perry’s heart was still brimming with excitement.

Gazing at his broad and long hand, Perry cautiously held it in her palm.

His hand was a bit cold, with a thin callus, Perry gently pressed her face against the back of his hand, closing her eyes to savor it all.

It felt like all the happiness lost over the years had returned.

Seeing this, Skye allowed them some private space and walked out of the room.

Perry stayed up all night, unable to lie down, she fell asleep leaning beside Aiden Shaw’s bed.

The next day, piercing light poured in from the window, dust drifting in the air, time was tranquil, worldly concerns were absent.

Aiden Shaw awoke in a haze, his fingers moved twice.

Perry sensed his movement and woke up.

Seeing his fingers move slightly, her face showed joy and anticipation.

She wanted to know the expression on Aiden’s face the moment he woke up and saw her.

She sat there, waiting for him to open his eyes.

The anesthesia had worn off, Aiden furrowed his brows, lips dry and peeling, slowly opening his eyes, perhaps not yet accustomed to the light, turning his head to seek a shadowed corner.

In his palm there was a hand, he instinctively gripped it. ℯ𝓵.

Perry’s lips lifted, she also gripped him tightly.

Once he adjusted to the sunlight, Aiden turned his head back.

Seeing Perry at that moment, Aiden’s eyes reflected surprise, confusion, then returning to calmness, he withdrew from her tightly clasped hand.

His dark eyes distant, expression indifferent, a deep and husky voice came from his throat: "Who are you?"

The voice sounded much colder than his expression.

When Aiden released her hand, Perry felt that this person, compared to when he was asleep, was much farther away, as if everything was slipping away.

Just like dreaming.

Perry obediently withdrew her hand to her lap, eyes fixed on his face: "Don’t you remember me? I’m Perry White."

Aiden frowned, perhaps never having heard this name, and facing a woman, he had a layer of defense, briefly stating: "I don’t know you."

Perry felt a sense of loss, like soaring through the sky and suddenly plummeting, the pain was intense, he actually didn’t remember her, despite meeting multiple times before.
