Chapter 1145: Chapter 1137: Everything Will Be Alright 3

Before going to find Linden Hawthorne, Tiana Thorne thought about what he might need.

He should be very weak after donating so much blood to his father.

Tiana Thorne went to the pharmacy to buy some blood-replenishing medicine and then went to the market to buy groceries.

The older generation says that eating meals in combination with medicinal food is more beneficial for recovery.

Whether it’s true or not, it’s always worth a try.

Some people also say that cooking small eels without removing their insides is good for the body’s absorption and can replenish blood.

There were so many methods that Tiana Thorne didn’t know which one to choose, so since she couldn’t decide, she bought everything.

Carrying big bags of supplies, she headed to Linden Hawthorne’s doorstep.

She thought Linden Hawthorne would be at home, with someone to take care of him, so even if he got sick from exhaustion, someone would send him to the hospital.

It shouldn’t be that no one would care about him.

She didn’t think enough and even lost her basic judgment.

When she arrived, the large house was open.

Linden Hawthorne lived in Banyria’s remote, hillside villa area. Fortunately, the community security was good; otherwise, it would have already been looted.

He had always been indifferent and quiet, not liking noise, so choosing this location was a good choice.

In this area, only the wealthy or prestigious lived there. Houses were separated by small gardens, a considerable distance apart, so it was generally hard to disturb the neighbors.

Tiana Thorne walked in, and a pair of men’s shoes were placed by the door, which should belong to Linden Hawthorne.

His house was spotless, and inside was very tidy, so new it seemed like no one lived there, without a trace of human life.

Tiana Thorne encountered this kind of person for the first time, whose home was perfectly orderly. It seemed there were no servants inside, which meant Linden Hawthorne lived alone.

"Who?"

Linden Hawthorne spoke, with a hint of impatience in his voice mixed with curiosity.

But there was no wariness.

Tiana Thorne looked toward Linden Hawthorne as he emerged from the corner, supporting himself against the wall, appearing tired, with his hair in disarray.

He had been sleeping in the room and came out to take a look upon hearing some noise.

"It’s me, Tiana Thorne." Tiana Thorne said proactively.

Linden Hawthorne wasn’t as distant as before, and only then did he focus his gaze on Tiana Thorne. Seeing it was really her, his eyes cleared up, and he removed his hand from the wall, taking a few steps forward and said, "Poppy, why did you come here? Aren’t you at the hospital with your father?"

He wasn’t very surprised and proceeded to take the things from Tiana Thorne’s hands.

Tiana Thorne didn’t give him the chance; she didn’t want him overexerting himself, so she set the bags aside on the counter, adopting her caring persona: "You haven’t been around for a while; I was worried about you. I went to your company, and they said you haven’t been there for a week."

"Hmm, I just wanted to rest for a few days. I’ll return to the company in a couple of days." Linden Hawthorne sat on the sofa, his eyes fixed on Tiana Thorne’s back.

He actually didn’t have any servants.

Thankfully, he was alright, not passing out at home with no one to care for him.

"Are you still not feeling well?" Tiana Thorne asked, "Why aren’t there any servants at home? If you live alone, who takes care of you?"

"I don’t like having others around."

"Then what about your assistant?"

Tiana Thorne opened the fridge, and it wasn’t the kind that’s completely empty. There were tomatoes, eggs, some drinks, and various alcoholic beverages inside.

She placed the newly bought vegetables inside, tore open the packages, and put everything in, dumping the remaining packaging paper into a bag, tying it up, and planning to take the trash out when she left.

"I didn’t ask him to come over," Linden Hawthorne said casually. "I’m usually here by myself."

This villa, he didn’t live in often, only occasionally coming over for some peace and quiet.
