Chapter 1147: Chapter 1139: Everything Will Be Alright 5

Tiana Thorne wasn’t really afraid, she wasn’t that delicate, a wash under water would do: "Just a couple of splashes. Who doesn’t get a bit of oil splatter when they cook?"

She thought it was no big deal, but Linden Hawthorne remembered it, took her spatula, and led her to the sink.

He turned on the tap, washing the spot where the oil had splashed on her.

"This isn’t just a couple of splashes, it hurts."

Tiana was a bit taken aback. Linden continued, "You’re an actress, a star. Your hands are important, every part is important."

The cold water was a bit chilly, but Linden’s words were warm. She responded fondly, "Alright, I’ll listen to whatever you say."

Linden only let go when Tiana’s wrist wasn’t as red. He walked over to the stove: "Let me do it, you go sit."

"But I am..."

She initially wanted to say she was the head chef, but Linden picked up the pan, tossed it over the fire, and maneuvered the spatula so deftly that it stopped her from saying more.

Because Linden was much more skilled than she was.

She was just showing off her inadequate skills here.

Perhaps she might even accidentally make a mess.

After bustling around, it was Linden who took care of everything.

She sat to the side watching the show.

It’s not that she didn’t know how to cook; the lotus root and pork rib soup she made last time turned out pretty well.

Complicated dishes weren’t her forte.

Watching Linden busy himself, compared to his lethargic demeanor right after getting up, he seemed much more spirited, able to toss the pan deftly; cooking wasn’t a bad thing for him.

Soon, two hearty meals were placed on the dining table.

Linden sat across from Tiana, gave her a nod, and said, "Thank you."

Actually, she hadn’t contributed much.

Linden was very satisfied, much more lively than before; temporarily she could take some credit.

Tiana’s fox-like eyes were full of laughter, raising an eyebrow: "If you like it, I’ll cook for you again next time."

Linden paused, his tone rational yet gentle: "No need, I don’t want you getting hurt."

"Then eat up, it’s good for your recovery. Three days from now, I want to see a healthy you." That was her biggest wish.

Linden nodded, took a spoonful of chicken soup, and handed the bowl to Tiana: "Try it."

"How could I have the first sip? You drink it yourself."

This was all Tiana’s intention. Linden didn’t refuse again, taking a sip.

The way he ate was very elegant, his fair fingers holding the spoon, unhurriedly, with the refined manners of a nobleman, drinking soup without making a sound, his warm face composed and calm.

After swallowing the soup, he nodded seriously: "Mm, it’s very tasty."

Only then did Tiana contentedly take her first spoonful.

Looking at him like that, he didn’t seem to have much appetite, and appeared to have lost quite a bit of weight.

People lose their appetite when they’re sick, let alone when he had lost so much blood.

Tiana wanted to be even kinder to him.

She thought Linden would at most have a couple of bites, but thankfully, he ate quite a lot and finished it all.

After finishing: "I didn’t want to waste it."

A good habit, with commendable qualities throughout.

Tiana prepared to wash his bowl when there was a slight commotion at the door. She turned to look, only to see Georgia Thorne standing there, calmly watching them.

She was carrying many things, just like when she came.

She suddenly thought, was it Georgia who stocked the fridge?

But judging from Linden’s attitude, it seemed like nothing had been touched.

She also understood why Linden was somewhat impatient at first.

Georgia walked in calmly, changed her shoes, and placed the bag on the counter: "Tiana, you’re here, did you guys finish eating?"
