Around 10 in the morning, just as everyone had finished having breakfast and Aditya was preparing to go back to his training, something happened that left everyone shocked and stunned.

"Sir Aditya!" Aditya was first making a trip to the library because he had a little bit of work to do on runic enchantment. The armour set he had received from Leo had a little bit of work left.

But before he could push the door of the library open, someone called him from behind and stopped him.

"What happened?"

"Ren sent a letter to you."

"Ren? You mean my cousin?" The man nodded his head. Aditya asked back with a surprised look. For a moment, he couldn’t understand why his cousin brother would suddenly write a letter to him.

’If I had to guess, maybe he wrote about asking me to surrender.’ From what Aditya knew about him, the chances of him surrendering were zero. There were more chances of a great flood covering the entire Main Continent than his cousin brother surrendering.

But the servant had a panicked look on his face. "Emperor Ren said that he and his allied forces will be marching their full army to the northern Grassy Plains."

Hearing this, Aditya’s expression changed. "Give me the letter!" Aditya took the letter from the servant before the servant extended his hands forward.

[My dear Cousin brother,] Aditya almost felt as if his own cousin brother was speaking to him.

[I do love you, and I care for you as my little brother. I tried to save you by sending you to the six continents. Regardless of what you did there, I would not have ever bothered you.]

[From what I heard, you are the Emperor of the Istarin Empire, which is about 2/3rd the size of the Celestial Dragon Empire. Honestly, it’s very impressive what you have managed to accomplish within such a short span of time. From all the things that you accomplished, I was almost tempted to invite you to work under me. But unfortunately, our ideologies clash. We cannot be true brothers despite belonging to the same family.]

Reading this part, Aditya could not help but sneer.

’The very same people who raised you and treated you like their own son were betrayed by you.’ As far as Aditya could remember, from a very young age, he had observed that Ren was never sidelined simply because Aditya was born.

Rather, Ren was always treated as the elder son of the family. Although titles and formalities never changed, Ren was still treated as part of the family, almost as if he were Aditya’s parents’ firstborn son. Yet this bastard grew up to become a disgrace to the entire family and decided to harm his own flesh and blood simply because he wanted to become the Emperor.

Reading this far, Aditya frowned. Aditya never expected any form of mercy from that bastard who had sold his soul to become a monster that would even harm his own family.

Aditya stopped for a moment and closed his eyes.

’I am an Emperor who protects his family and people. And you are the exact opposite of me.’ In short, there was no avoiding this conflict. Not that Aditya had any intention of avoiding this conflict in the first place.

He was already too deep into this to back out. More importantly, the Dragon Monarch had no intention of retreating. Even if his parents were offered back to him and Ren promised to rule the Celestial Dragon Empire fairly and cut all ties with the Organisation, Aditya would still pursue this war and the head of his cousin brother.

Because, no one gets away after crossing certain lines with the Dragon Monarch. This was always Aditya’s style.

The Dragon Monarch never actively seeks war. But is always prepared for one.
