Ivar didn’t pull out. Instead, a defiant glint flashed in his emerald eyes. He didn’t want to hide. He didn’t want to sneak away like a thief in the night. He wanted the world to know exactly who she belonged to.

As the footsteps grew louder, just as a shadow appeared at the edge of the alcove, Ivar let out a thunderous roar. With a sudden snap of power, two massive emerald wings erupted from his shoulder blades, tearing through the back of his royal tunic with a sound of rending fabric.

"Ivar, your... your wings..." I gasped at the marvelous sight before me.

Ivar pressed a kiss to my forehead just like the very first time that preceded all of this. "Hold on tight, Petal. You’re about to become the first girl to have her very first time in the air."

The force of the wings unfolding created a gust of wind that knocked the nearby sconces, making them flicker. In one explosive motion, Ivar leaped upward, his powerful wings carrying us both high into the air.

I let out a scream of shock as I felt the sudden shift in gravity. I clung to him for dear life, though my legs were still locked around his waist, my body still tightly joined with his.

We soared upward, gliding toward the high, open rafters of the cloister. Below us, a stunned student stood frozen in the hallway, staring up in disbelief at the sight of the Wolf Prince flying through the air, still buried deep inside a half-dressed girl.

The sensation of being fucked mid-air was overwhelming. Gravity pulled me down onto his cock with each movement, driving him deeper. My third release hit suddenly, my body convulsing around him.

"I can feel every flutter of your pussy," he groaned. "You’re going to make me cum so hard."

He drove into me with renewed intensity and I whimpered... Hard—when the angle helped him hit spots that made me see stars. "One more for me," he commanded. "Cum again while I fill you up."

My fourth orgasm built slowly, pleasure almost too much. When it finally crashed over me, Ivar followed. His cock pulsed as he emptied himself deep inside me. Thick ropes of cum flooded my womb, marking me as his.

We floated together and hell, I loved it. Every single breathing moment of it.

His wings kept us aloft as we caught our breath. But then the mark on my neck began to burn with magic. Ivar jerked back, eyes widening as the bond rippled outward.

"Elira," he whispered, palm flying to the mark. "The bond... it’s done more than join us."

I touched the mark with trembling fingers, feeling it pulse with life.

"I felt you everywhere. So... This is what it feels like to... make love."

Ivar’s mouth curled into a smirk. "Oh, this is just the tip of the iceberg. When I get my hands on you again, you’re spending an entire weekend in my quarters. Then, I’ll show you what it means to have a man ready to worship your body."

I wrapped my arms around his neck, his wings beating steadily. "I wouldn’t want it any other way."

He kissed me tenderly, still buried deep inside me. "Rest now, my mate. I’ve got you."

· · ─ ·??· ─ · ·

The first thing I felt when I woke up wasn’t the hard, biting stone of the cloister or the cold breeze of the academy halls. It was comfort.

An ache thrummed deep in my muscles, leaving me delightfully sore from the tips of my toes to the core of my chest. But tangled right alongside that exhaustion was a warmth... a golden, tingling sensation that still hummed over my skin like I was still right there on the clouds.

I rolled lazily onto my side, burying my face into a pillow so pillowy and soft it felt like a dream. The fabric smelled faintly of bergamot, and expensive leather. .

I must still be floating with Ivar, I thought as a foolish, dreamy smile spread across my face while I snuggled deeper into the bedding.

"If you keep grinning like a loon, your face is going to stick that way, Stonewick."

The mocking drawl sliced straight through my morning haze.

My eyes snapped open. I jerked upright so fast a vicious wave of throbbing pain whipped against my skull, making me gasp and clutch my temples.

I wasn’t in the cloister. I wasn’t in Room 3B with Bren and Miriel.

I was lying in a huge feather-soft bed draped in midnight-black silks and rich, blood-red velvet hangings. This.. This was unmistakably the scarlet of the Wolf Wing.

And sitting cross-legged in a high-backed armchair directly across from the bed was... Prince Zev?!

He looked out of place yet completely at home, lounging in his fitted tunic, lazily tossing a small, silver dagger from hand to hand. His amber eyes narrowed into death slits as he stared right at me.

My stomach plummeted. Did I... did I pass out? And did Ivar bring me all the way to his private quarters in the Wolf Wing?

More importantly... what in the hells was Prince Zev doing sitting in the dark watching me sleep?!

Uh," I stammered, frantically pulling the red velvet blanket up to my chin as my cheeks burned crimson. "Good... good morning, Your Highness?"

Zev didn’t return the greeting. He caught the dagger by its hilt, his jaw clenching so hard a muscle twitched in his cheek.

Zev scoffed. "Good morning? Is that what you call waking up after putting on a private, open-air theater performance for half the academy?"

What? I gulped. .

He saw.

Every shred of color drained straight from my face. Zev sounded like a man on a murderous mission.

My mind scrambled wildly. Deep down beneath the panic, beneath the shock of being caught, an inconvenient whisper of truth prickled at the back of my mind.

The multi-fated bond theory wasn’t just a wild guess. I had felt the same magnetic pull toward Zev, the same electric sensation under my skin when he looked at me. If all four royal heirs were tied to me... that meant Zev was my mate, too.

And right now, one of my mates was glaring at me like I had just ripped his heart out, furious that I had given myself to another.
