Somewhere inside the northern region of the Phoenix Kingdom, a couple of oldies could be seen sitting inside the meeting hall. The hall was dimly lit, and an orb could be seen playing a video where a young man could be seen slaying thousands of cultivators before obliterating the entire settlement in a single breath.
Every single person who was present inside that hall had this horrified, solemn look on their faces seeing the unbelievable sight before them. There were seven people who were seated inside this place; six of them were old men who were scared for their lives seeing how Yohan killed one of their key allies before annihilating the entire branch family, only sparing women and children.
These old men were the branch leaders of six factions who serve the main Lin family. Apart from these old men, there was a woman who was present among them wearing a dark cloak. That woman’s face was hidden by the mask, but behind that mask, her crimson eyes were fixated on Yohan’s image played by the orb.
Unlike these six old men, she seemed to be calm, as if she was expecting this to happen. But apart from her calm demeanor, the entire hall was in chaos.
"We are doomed... He is a fucking monster. How in the world are we supposed to fight someone like him?" one of the old men exclaimed in panic, seeing the frightening sight before him. His entire body was drenching in sweat and he could feel a cold shudder in his spine, fearing for his untimely death. Not even in his wildest dreams did this old man think a day would come when he witnessed something so horrifying that it put him on the edge.
"There is no way we can fight someone like him. It was indeed a bad idea... He is going to kill us all," another old man exclaimed, his facial expressions dark, seeing how easily Yohan dominated the entire settlement without taking anyone’s help. He was a one-man army who single-handedly killed thousands of cultivators and many thousands of soldiers who were supposed to kill him. But alas, things took a completely different turn.
"We shouldn’t have provoked him. He is definitely going to kill us all, we are doomed..." another old man whispered in a trembling voice.
"We can’t even reconcile with that monster, his father and grandfather..." one of the six branch leaders looked toward the woman wearing the mask seated before them. He looked at her in a panicked manner.
That woman simply gave him a look when he brought up Su Wan Lin and Su Lin. All of the branch leaders looked toward the direction of that woman; after all, she was the only one who knew what happened to them. Their job was to lure them out, and the woman who was sent by the northern royal family was responsible for everything that happened to both Su Wan Lin and Su Lin; that was part of their plan.
"Please tell me that they are safe, otherwise he is going to kill us all..." among the six branch leaders, the oldest one spoke as he looked toward the woman with horrified expressions. After seeing the ruthlessness that Yohan showed, he gave up on his ambitions and dream of taking over the main family along with everyone. No one wanted to die in such a manner just because they were not satisfied with their current situation.
"This was supposed to be a simple job. How in the world did this turn out like this?" that branch leader who spoke earlier added, as he looked toward the woman who remained calm and composed despite the chaos caused by these old men.
"Don’t fret over something so small. Those people that he killed were nothing but small fry, a small force sent by Lord Lucas. Nobody needs to panic over such a small loss, everything is under control." Finally, the woman tapped one of her fingers on the table as she looked at these six old men. Her voice was calm and composed yet dominating. Everyone was dumbfounded hearing her; after all, those cultivators that Yohan killed were thousands in number, yet he single-handedly annihilated them, yet this woman spoke as if she didn’t care.
"Yohan is going to die. The main force sent by the royal family is still awaiting in the shadows. The moment he appears here, he will lose his life and you guys will gain everything you ever wanted: power, fame, and wealth—everything will be at your disposal. Just remember one thing: those who go against the system need to know their true place. The royal family has been the absolute power in the Northern region for many centuries..."
"Those who dare to defy the will of Lord Lucas never survive. He will face the same fate similar to those fools who dare to go against him..." the woman exclaimed, and with those words, she got up on her feet in order to leave the meeting hall.
Before leaving, she looked one last time in the direction of the six old men.
"We have been preparing everything for a very long time. Just don’t let fear consume you; with our combined force, he is nothing but a mere existence begging to die," the woman exclaimed, and with those words, she disappeared from that very place, leaving the six figures behind, who somewhat felt assured by her mighty words that they could survive against Yohan.
"Indeed, we don’t have to fear over small things. We already predicted that he will attack the nearest branch families after subduing those six great elders of the clan. Things might have taken a different turn, but with the combined strength of our six great families and the forces sent by the royal family, we can still kill that monster," one of the branch leaders spoke while forcing a smile, though his facial expressions betrayed his words.
"Yes, indeed, we can kill him... We always wanted to achieve our dream, it’s not time to fret over something so small," another old man added while laughing. Soon, the other leaders joined, still clinging to the hope of defeating Yohan and achieving their long-lasting dream. Unknown to these five figures, one old man remained silent, having a solemn look in his eyes, fearing for the worst.
"We are doomed... The northern family has abandoned us," he muttered under heavy breath before falling into his seat, looking in the direction of these fools who were clinging to the false hope given by that mysterious lady.
Meanwhile at the same time a women could be seen leaving a mansion in a hurry,the moment she left the premises of the mansion she hurriedly remove her cloak and mask,moving forward deep within the forest and slamming her fist into one of the boulder oblirating into the small pieces.
"Damn you Yohan...how powerful you became in such short amount of time destroying evrything that i prepared for you,I am not going to forgive you for the humiliation that I received from your hands inside that hundred poison valley,i promised you...one day you are going to regret for humiliating me,"The women exclaimed cursing yohan from the bottom of heart,as she was in the middle of cursing him couple of figures appeared right behind her.
"My lady what’s your order..."one of the man spoke as he looked towards the enraged women,the figures who were standing behind her remain wary of her,the women tilted her head and looked towards the group and finally took a long defeated sigh.
"What order’s...we are leaving this fucking place,there is no way we can fight someone like him,he is completely different person what he used to be two years ago,he single handedly killed thousands of Cultivators prepared by lord lucas,it’s matter of time...this place is going to become the grave of those old fools,"the women spoke while biting her lower lips in frustration.
"Its my gift to him... giving him everything in platter,he should be happy that every single traiter is hiding under the one roof,its all thanks to me!"the women spoke while having a forced smile on her beautiful face.
Everyone was were presented their dumbfounded seeing that side of her, earlier she was depressed but now she was behaving completely different turn her charecter.
"What about that old man...he slipped from our hands..."one of the figure whispered in serious voice,the women frowned.
"Let him be...that old man is crafty unlike his son su lin,we still achive our goal,i wonder how will he react once he learned something that will destroy him from inside"the women exclaimed while curling her lips and pointing one of her finger towards her heart.
"Poor yohan...i wonder how will you going to react when you face your true adversery..."the women whispered and with those words she dissapeared from that very place leaving everyone dumbfounded by her words.
