Chapter 599: Chapter 363: Fight? Time to Run
"Fearless Charge" was never a brute-force charge. It was a foundational skill for Knight Professionals, passed down through the ages!
The only thing that could interrupt Fearless Charge was an overwhelming force, greater than that of the user.
’But what just happened?’
MacLeod hadn’t felt a thing; he didn’t even know how his enemy had struck.
It was as if he had simply slipped and fallen by accident.
A hint of confusion clouded his eyes.
MacLeod still couldn’t wrap his head around how things had developed to this point.
He had clearly held the advantage, cornered that damn old woman from the Asian Administrative Region so she couldn’t even voice her grievances, and turned the Asian Administrative Region and the Eastern Alliance into a public target.
Everything had changed so quickly.
To go from a position of advantage to being the loser... it had all happened in just a few short minutes.
In the few seconds that MacLeod was lost in confusion, Master Ma had already fled.
Lin Qi had even been thoughtful enough to hit Master Ma with a full-power Rapid Growth right before he was out of range of his Spiritual Vision.
While it couldn’t heal Master Ma’s body completely, it was more than enough to restore his health bar to over thirty percent.
...
"The battle’s over?"
"The Sound Wave Detectors aren’t picking up any more combat signals."
"What was the outcome?"
The S-Class Implanters from the two major S-Class Mercenary Corps were intensely curious about the battle’s outcome.
It was hard to make out the details of a battle between Tier Four Extraordinaries with instruments, as their Extraordinary Power could even interfere with the data feedback.
Only fellow Tier Four Extraordinaries could vaguely sense the battle’s outcome through the ground.
The Tier Four Extraordinaries from the two T0-level Mercenary Corps all frowned.
"It looks like the Extraordinary who ambushed the Grand Knight Commander fled. Perhaps they were no match for MacLeod."
"But they’ve achieved their goal. No one will dare to make a move against the Eastern Alliance so casually again."
"True. If the one ambushed hadn’t been MacLeod, but an ordinary Tier Four Extraordinary like one of us, the outcome is unimaginable."
The Tier Fours from the two T0-level Mercenary Corps only sensed the surface of events; it seemed to them that the ambushing Martial Artist and the third Tier Four presence that appeared afterward had both fled in a panic.
However, they weren’t the only Tier Fours present.
Carl and Jabari, from the American and African Regions respectively—two Tier Four Peak experts—sensed much more from the battle’s spiritual fluctuations.
"Something seems off about MacLeod. It doesn’t look like his win was an easy one."
"I’m sensing something odd about MacLeod’s condition. Is he really the one who won?"
As they conversed, they both looked up into the distance.
A large Floating Vehicle bearing the Round Table emblem arrived on scene, hovering silently above the S-Class Pharmacy Society Mansion.
According to World City law, this was a violation; large Floating Vehicles were only permitted to dock at designated ports.
But at this moment, no one cared about such details. One after another, several Tier Four Extraordinaries leaped from the Floating Vehicle and quickly rushed into the gaping hole in the ground.
...
Outside the glass curtain wall on the 66th floor of the S-Class Pharmacy Society Mansion.
A smile touched the corners of Baili Xueyuan’s lips. The light and shadows around her twisted, and she was no longer lingering outside the glass wall.
No one knew where Baili Xueyuan had gone.
The Tier Fours from the American and African Regions exchanged a glance.
"Baili seems to be in... a good mood?"
"Could it be that MacLeod actually lost?"
