Elden Ring: Starting as Melina’s Sister
Ch. 96 A family reunion?
No one would have thought.
The Margit’s Shackle, which was originally thought to be a secret weapon, instead became the culprit for triggering the second phase…
Of course, Mia directly exposing Margit’s alias probably also helped push things along.
But this wasn’t what she wanted to see!
What Mia had in mind was that after Morgott’s true name was exposed and he was suppressed by the shackle, he would calm down a bit and listen to her.
Maybe, he could let her pass…
But she hadn’t expected that it would have the opposite effect.
The furious Morgott directly entered the second phase.
In his left hand, he held that Golden Straight Sword and thrust it forcefully into the ground.
Not only did it destroy the magic circle suppressing him.
It also caused a rain of golden swords to fall.
Countless Golden Straight Swords appeared in mid-air, falling towards Mia like a carpet.
She immediately activated her magic, turning herself into a star and teleporting to Wilden’s side.
“Get back—”
Just as Mia revealed her form,
Morgott’s long tail swept in front of her, and then the Omen King, covered in horns, leaped up and spun in the air.
The end of the scepter pointed towards the earth, falling towards the two of them.
Boom—
Mia, highly focused, dodged this heavy blow that shattered the bricks.
She wanted to use the shackle again, but was shocked to find that as soon as a trace of power was injected, the stone brick in her hand crumbled into powder.
No time to think, the follow-up attack was right in front of her.
‘Meteor!’
Mia waved her staff, and three Fluorspar Meteors appeared on the trajectory of the staff’s swing.
Then, as if they had a life of their own, the meteors flew towards Morgott.
Those were definitely no ordinary Fluorspar Meteors.
Those three Fluorspar Meteors were a yellow-white so bright it was almost blinding, as if they were rolling and burning in the air, trailing flames as they flew towards Morgott.
When Mia cast this magic, she added the power of a fire Prayer.
Morgott swung his scepter to shatter the three strange Fluorspar Meteors, and the flames that burst from them made him instinctively take a step back.
He had never seen this kind of magic, but that was no reason to stop.
Immediately after, he stepped forward again, swinging his scepter in a sweep.
“Who are you?”
Morgott’s voice, which sounded old and weathered, questioned coldly.
Knowing his identity, holding his shackle.
Possessing a powerful Grace of the Erdtree, yet also using a strange power that had never appeared in The Lands Between.
Everything felt full of contradictions.
Someone who possessed grace, knew his identity, and held the shackle must surely have deep connections with the Golden Order.
But the girl in front of him was also a Tarnished, attempting to infiltrate Stormveil Castle and harboring greed for the great rune belonging to a demigod.
And using magic that did not exist in The Lands Between might also be the interference of an Outer God.
From each characteristic, Morgott could speculate on Mia’s identity, but when all these characteristics gathered together, Morgott only felt confused.
Mia stepped back, and Wilden in front of her withstood Morgott’s attack.
Fighting together, the sound of weapons clashing was constant.
“I am Mia!”
The girl stood in the relatively safe rear, shouting to Morgott.
“I am the daughter of Marika, a demigod, just like you!”
“Absurd!” Morgott barked.
With a clang, the scepter collided with Wilden’s twin swords, sending out a lingering echo.
The Margit using the alias Margit also summoned a Golden Great Hammer, launching a cold and furious offensive against Wilden, who was much smaller than him.
Morgott parried Wilden’s twin swords with his cane, the Soldier’s weapon almost flying out of his hand, and then the great hammer came straight for his chest.
Thump—
The crushing force of absolute power and speed left Wilden completely unable to resist.
Before him was Margit-Morgott, a demigod, one of the strongest in The Lands Between.
And also the “Margit, the Fell Omen” who had once defended the Royal Capital Leyndell during the Shattering, leaving rivers of blood from many heroes.
Even if Wilden had once been a knight serving Godwyn, he could not be Morgott’s opponent.
He was sent flying by the great hammer, and Mia saw blood spray from his mouth with her own eyes.
“Wil…”
Wilden’s body flew back towards her like a cannonball, landing with a thud beside the girl.
“Don’t move!” Mia immediately rushed over, holding down Wilden, who still tried to get up.
His chest and abdomen were horrifyingly sunken; under Morgott’s heavy blow, his bones and muscles were shattered.
Mia felt her breath hitch.
Was it Wilden lying before her, so heavily injured?
For a moment, she actually couldn’t believe it; the most reliable warrior who always walked at the very front in danger also had a time when he fell.
And the recovery effect of the Grace of the Erdtree… didn’t work?
She immediately set about continuing to cast healing Prayers.
A golden flying knife grazed her ear, the sharp air current leaving a blood mark on the girl’s soft earlobe.
This was in combat, on the battlefield; as an enemy, Morgott had no intention of stopping for a moment.
He charged towards Mia, then suddenly stopped as a petite figure suddenly appeared in mid-air.
Melina took over for Wilden, who could no longer fight, blocking the way in front of Mia.
The dagger in the Kindling Maiden’s hand, its silver blade covered by golden light, turned into a long blade burning with golden flames, stabbing towards Morgott’s face.
Melina appeared like an assassin, so suddenly and without warning that Morgott didn’t even have time to block.
Squelch—
The blade of golden flame pierced downward into Morgott’s shoulder blade; at the same time, the dagger in Morgott’s left hand thrust toward her body.
Melina did not hesitate for a moment; she kicked off Morgott’s chest, pulling out her blade and leaping backward.
Leaping into mid-air with the grace of a butterfly, as if performing some elegant dance, she swung her dagger, which was now covered in golden flames and transformed into a long blade.
A crescent-shaped golden shockwave cut through the air, sweeping toward Morgott.
Melina’s leap made Morgott stumble a step; facing the incoming golden blade-light, he braced his hand against the ground and rolled through the air to dodge it.
“Melina, take care of Wilden!”
Having just landed, Melina heard Mia’s command, nodded slightly, and quickly retreated.
Morgott’s expression was grave; seemingly wary of Melina’s strength, he briefly halted his attack to observe the two.
Melina’s strike hadn’t inflicted an injury severe enough to hinder Morgott’s movements.
Mia glared at the Omen before her and took a step forward.
