Jeremiah May first took the little one’s hand, noticed the small palms covered in grass and dust, some skin broken with threads of blood showing, and her pants also seemed a bit worn. He squatted down with a hint of caution to roll up her pants leg. Fortunately, her knee only looked a bit red and swollen without any broken skin, which made him breathe a slight sigh of relief.

Meanwhile, the few children standing by were all looking dumbfounded. You see, to them, the young master was always so high and mighty. To see him squatting in front of someone, rolling up pants to check an injury, was something they had never witnessed before.

Mireille Yowell was even puffing her cheeks in anger. Her brother Jeremiah had actually squatted in front of that fool. The scene was just like a prince protecting Cinderella. What’s more infuriating for her was that the fool was reaching those dirty hands towards her brother Jeremiah’s hair.

That fool... was actually touching brother Jeremiah’s hair!

Mireille widened her eyes, hoping Jeremiah May would get angry quickly. She remembered once she couldn’t resist wanting to touch Brother Jeremiah’s hair, and he had immediately shaken off her hand and coldly warned her, "I don’t like people touching my hair like that, you better remember."

Back then, she could tell Jeremiah was angry, so she took his words to heart and never dared to think of doing it again.

So now, Mireille watched Jeremiah with full anticipation, almost shouting in her heart: Hurry up, hurry up!

She wanted to see Brother Jeremiah scold that fool vigorously.

But to her disappointment, after Jeremiah’s body stiffened a bit, he looked up at the little person in front of him.

The little one, unapologetically, flashed a very bright smile, showing her cute little white teeth, "Soft, like Hei Hei, it feels so comfy to touch."

"Hei Hei?" Jeremiah was taken aback, so much so that he momentarily forgot to resist her touch.

Yet, the kids of the servants standing nearby, upon hearing her say that, had their expressions change. They all knew Hei Hei was a small mutt dog raised by a servant from their side. That dog rarely barked and was well-behaved; the kids would play with it when bored.

But now, was that girl comparing the young master to a dog?

So the kids started making all kinds of expressions and gestures, hoping she wouldn’t continue talking.

But the problem was, she didn’t even glance at them, and even if she did, she might not understand their sign language.

Her little hand kept touching, feeling that comfortable sensation, "Hei Hei is woof woof... Hei Hei is so obedient, it licks hands."

"..." Jeremiah’s face went black.

And those children watching had expressions like disaster was about to strike. It’s over; the young master would get mad. Would he kick Hei Hei out, and how would he deal with this girl?

Jeremiah took her hand off his head and said irritably, "Alright, let me take you to treat your wound." Then he picked her up entirely and turned, walking towards the main house.
