Elder Kinston's Exclusive Sweet Wife
Chapter 1526 - 1567: In This World, Only She Calls Him That
The little one was staring down at the figure on the stage without blinking, her tiny hands waving nonstop, as if she wanted to get even closer, to see even more clearly.
But right now Amelia Foster’s body was already pressed up against the glass railing; there was no way to move forward any further.
"Sweetie, don’t move, just watch from here. If you wiggle again, Mommy won’t be able to hold you." Amelia said to her daughter.
The little one really did stop moving, but her gaze still stayed fixed on Atlas Shaw below.
And every time Atlas picked up the microphone to speak, the little one would shout "Atlas!" and clap her hands like crazy.
"Mom, Ivy really, really likes this big star." Clarence Xenos said.
"Of course she does." Amelia smiled. Seeing the bright grin on her daughter’s face, she felt that bringing her out like this was actually a very good thing.
Just then, some of the onlookers beside Amelia also tried to squeeze closer to get a clearer look at what was happening on the stage below. They shoved in her direction. Amelia stumbled; her hands almost slipped, and she nearly flung her daughter out of her arms.
Cold sweat broke out on Amelia’s back. She quickly set her daughter down. "How could you shove over here like that? Do you have any idea my daughter almost fell just now?"
"Who told you to hold a kid that close to the railing? Don’t you know that’s dangerous? You’re the mom, no sense of safety at all, and you’re blaming other people?" the other person tossed back, then ignored Amelia and went right back to shouting Atlas Shaw’s name and waving down at the stage.
Amelia was the kind of person who rarely quarreled with anyone and wasn’t good at arguing. Besides, she really had been holding Ivy right up against the glass railing, and the railing only came up to her own chest. At that height, hugging a child and standing that close was indeed dangerous.
The spot Amelia had originally occupied was quickly squeezed away by others. She thought for a moment, then picked her daughter up again and said, "Ivy, let’s go, okay? Mommy will buy you posters, lots and lots of posters."
"Mom, aren’t we going to ask this big star for some? I heard if you line up, you can get posters and even the big star’s autograph." Clarence said.
Line up... With so many people, there was no way it would ever get to them. Amelia thought about it and said, "We’re not lining up. There are too many people here. How about we buy some posters later, then Mom will take you and Ivy to walk around somewhere else."
"Atlas! Ivy wants to see Atlas..." the little one said, clearly sensing that Amelia wanted to leave, so she started yelling loudly.
"Be good, Ivy. How about we go down to the first floor later and see if we can get a look from there?" Amelia coaxed her. But there were too many people on the first floor too, and with her daughter in her arms she probably wouldn’t be able to squeeze to the front.
"Atlas! Atlas!" the little one kept shouting, clearly unwilling to leave this spot, still wanting to look a little longer at that person who felt so familiar to her.
Her childish voice, mixed into all the noise around them, should have been easily drowned out.
But Atlas Shaw suddenly stopped talking and lifted his eyes, looking around the venue... Was it that hallucination again? How was it that he was hearing Ivy’s voice again, Ivy calling him Atlas!
That voice... In this world, the only person who would call him Atlas like that was Ivy.
