Elder Kinston's Exclusive Sweet Wife
Chapter 1604 - 1646: Ignoring Others
However, Levi Harris didn’t pay any attention to the little one, continuing to play with the Rubik’s Cube in his hands. The multicolored, jumbled Rubik’s Cube quickly returned to its neat arrangement under Levi’s nimble fingers, only to be scrambled again just as fast, and then restored...
Even Mabel Quinn, not far away, couldn’t help but marvel at this sight, quickly restoring the Rubik’s Cube like that clearly showed how smart the child was.
Harper Kinston was completely captivated by the scene before her, and couldn’t resist clapping her hands.
"Ivy also wants to play, can you let Ivy play for a while?" the little one said hopefully.
Levi glanced at her, ignored it, and continued playing on his own. However, Daniel Harris spoke to his son, "Levi, let Ivy play with the Rubik’s Cube for a while."
But those words from the father didn’t work.
Seeing Daniel Harris about to get up and go to the two kids, Mabel quickly stopped him and said, "It’s okay, just let the two kids get along like this. The Rubik’s Cube is Levi’s thing; if he really doesn’t want Ivy to play with it, then Ivy also needs to try to accept it." After all, children need to learn how to handle rejection in this world, not everything they want can be obtained.
Fortunately, Harper Kinston didn’t insist, she just sat down beside Levi Harris, continuing to watch him play with the Rubik’s Cube, occasionally clapping her hands.
So, one played while the other watched, which was quite peaceful. After a while, the little one suddenly seemed to think of something, stood up, and dashed back into the room.
Mabel Quinn was stunned, just about to enter the room to see what was going on with her daughter, when she saw her dragging out a large plastic roller case full of the toys she usually loved to play with.
She pulled the toy box in front of Levi Harris and said with a childish voice, "How about we exchange toys, these... these are all fun too."
She said as she took the dolls, ducky and puppy models out of the box and placed them in front of Levi Harris.
Levi pursed his lips, he wouldn’t play with those things. He kept his head down, still ignoring her.
But Harper Kinston didn’t give up, persevering, "How about we play together?"
Levi Harris remained silent, continuing to play on his own.
Seeing this, Daniel Harris apologized to Mabel Quinn, "Sorry, Levi is not very sociable."
"There’s nothing to apologize for," Mabel said, "but if this goes on, it’s not a long-term solution." She also saw the problem with the child; if this continued, he would become increasingly reclusive and potentially face social interaction issues in the future.
"Yeah, I know." Daniel Harris smiled bitterly, knowing is one thing, but feeling a bit helpless too.
Unless his son is willing to change himself, to take that first step, otherwise, it’s really...
While they were talking, a servant came in with a tray, which held snacks prepared for the kids.
But as the servant came in, she didn’t notice the toys Harper Kinston had scattered around and accidentally stepped on one of the small toys.
