Suddenly, an indescribable sense of despair enveloped Aimou’s heart, and after many years, she once again felt her own fragility, and was angry at her own incompetence.

But Aimou did not lose her ability to act due to despair. She decisively slit Bologue’s throat and pierced his heart. Despite being the one she loved, her hand was exceptionally ruthless.

Aimou had no time to feel this strange emotion, nor did she have time to consider whether she could hide inside Bologue’s body, but she at least accomplished what Bologue entrusted her with.

A speeding silhouette appeared behind Aimou, Oken wielded the heavy giant sword, swearing to crush Aimou and Bologue into mud.

The cold wind swept past, and Aimou noticed the breath of the Death God, she struggled to maintain her composure.

Be strong.

An even colder edge flashed past Aimou’s body, she heard the sound of flesh tearing, and felt the cold blood dripping behind her.

Aimou turned her head in panic, only to see Oken still maintaining the posture of raising the giant sword, but a hideous and horrifying scar had already penetrated his waist and abdomen, the injury severing internal organs and bones, cutting Oken in half.

The tall figure fell heavily, and behind Oken, another familiar yet strange figure emerged in Aimou’s view.

The newcomer was clad in exquisite and heavy armor, the edges of the scale armor stained with red rust, indicating its long history. And between the large pieces of armor, what was exposed was not flesh, but hollow white bones.

He held a long spear in one hand and a nearly two-meter-long sharp blade in the other, with sticky blood hung on the edge of the blade, presumably it was this sharp weapon that cut Oken in half in one stroke.

"Bode?"

Aimou, weak, straddled Bologue’s body, looking at the other incredulously.

Bode didn’t speak, only let out a hoarse chuckle. He swung the long spear and swept away the dust swirling around, then turned to swing the long knife, slashing at the approaching Heartless as if he were a rushing thunder.

At this moment, Aimou looked toward Wei’Er, only to see it quietly sitting by the door like a diligent doorman, and that shining gate was now fully open.

Voices of conversation, noise, curses, the sharp sound of metal scraping against metal...

A heavy and strong echo came from within the door, seemingly able to cross the limits of space, causing the earth Aimou stood on to tremble slightly due to their march.

Darkness squirmed, demons emerged.

Countless reveling figures rushed in from behind the gate, their faces ferocious, clad in armor, their swinging hands filled with swords, spears, and halberds, their entire bodies exuding an almost solidified hostility.

"War!"

Someone cheered, raising a scarlet tattered banner, with no symbols on it, only pure blood and pure murderous intent.

In past years, this banner symbolized brutal carnage and death. As the years passed, few in the world still remembered its meaning, but it didn’t matter to them, it doesn’t matter if it’s forgotten, as long as the world remembers it anew.

"Once more!"

A short figure climbed atop the demons’ heads, appearing to be a dwarf, although he carried no weapon, he was adorned with assorted musical instruments. He skillfully leaped from one shoulder to another, from one head to another, and sounded a resounding military horn.

The sound was piercing and echoed across the sky.

The demons’ formation remained unbroken, they maintained their marching stance, swaggering past Aimou, some occasionally casting glances, sizing up Aimou, and the unconscious figure below her, while others paid no mind to Aimou’s existence, only anticipating the first slaughter after a long slumber.

Aimou was completely stunned on the spot, even if her reaction was sluggish, she now understood where this violent march came from.

This was the army from the Undying Club, servants of the Sin of Wrath.

"The undead... army."

An exclamation sounded from beneath Aimou, lowering her head, Aimou finally noticed that Bologue was alive. He lay completely flat on the ground, craned his head back forcefully, watching the advance of the demons.

The demons were like an unstoppable arrow, buildings and foes along the way were easily crushed by them. Strange laughter rose between them as if this was not a war, but a long-awaited game.

Amidst the revelry, the demons jumped one after another into the Butcher’s Pit, as numerous as ants, easily drowning York, then surrounding the Heartless, amidst laughter, tearing off pieces of flesh from them, and brutally executing them.

Every one of them was an ancient undead, powerful High Tier Condensers bearing Immortal Armor; this was a force capable of changing the world, now launched in a surprise attack, sent in full force to the Land of Eternal Night, to commence this endless battle.

Bologue stood up bewilderedly, at which point Wei’Er leapt onto Bologue’s head and shouted in a sharp voice.

"Kill!"
