Chapter 514: Goddess of Death’s Projection

The only things they needed to be wary of were the Omen Beast standing guard by the broken bridge, and several hundred Skeleton Soldiers.

“That’s the place. As long as we can cross the broken bridge, we can escape the Undead Legion and reach the Elven border,” Hong Lian said to Su Xuan.

“But with the Omen Beast in the way, it’s impossible for us to cross the bridge right under its nose!” one of the Elves said with concern.

“Just get ready and wait for my signal.” Su Xuan didn’t reply to the Elf, his eyes fixed intently on the Omen Beast on the broken bridge.

The Omen Beast was pitch-black all over, like coal. It resembled a yak, with matted fur that dragged on the ground.

On its back was a blue-green crystal that seemed to be devouring the moonlight, containing an eerie power.

“Level 80…” Su Xuan was silent for a moment, then said to the group, “Remember the tasks I assigned you. Don’t do anything rash.”

“Right!” Petico replied.

“We know! Human, let’s get started already!” Kanlutia said impatiently.

“Begin!”

At Su Xuan’s command, everyone sprang into action.

Petico was the first to charge. She transformed into a streak of red light, several blood-red longswords hovering around her as she flew rapidly toward the Omen Beast.

“ROAR!”

Facing the threat from Petico, the Omen Beast let out a long roar toward the sky. Immediately after, countless pitch-black substances appeared around its massive body, twisting space like a black hole.

“So damn loud!”

Before the roar even faded, Kanlutia had already unleashed her Blood Magic.

A faint red glimmer flickered in the sky.

The next second, a blood-red spear materialized high in the sky.

Kanlutia herself stood on the very tip of the spear’s haft, arms crossed over her chest. A grin revealed a row of sharp fangs, looking exceptionally white in the moonlight.

“Die!”

The moment she spoke, the blood-red spear plummeted like an act of divine punishment, piercing straight through the Omen Beast’s body.

“ROAR!”

The Omen Beast let out a piercing shriek, but its body soon began to glow with a blue-green light as its wounds started to heal.

‘Looks like that’s the core where it stores its power.’

Su Xuan saw the shimmering blue-green crystal on the Omen Beast’s back and immediately identified his target.

But he couldn’t get close yet. The Omen Beast was still surrounded by a large number of Skeleton Soldiers.

“Rosaline, you’re up!” Su Xuan ordered.

Upon receiving the command, Rosaline immediately moved out.

Her Soul Wings unfurled behind her, glowing with a soul-like, blue fluorescence in the moonlight.

Her mere appearance on the battlefield immediately drew the attention of the Undead Skeletons, who all launched attacks at her.

“Damn it! Don’t you dare ignore me!”

Seeing the Omen Beast ignore her, Kanlutia immediately launched an even more ferocious attack.

A hundred-meter-long Bloody Spear coalesced and plummeted toward the Omen Beast.

But even so, the Omen Beast paid Kanlutia no mind, allowing the Bloody Spear to pierce its body.

But before it could even act, Su Xuan struck the core with his palm.

In an instant, the brilliant Sunshine flared, and the entire surface of the core fractured with several cracks.

Simultaneously, the Omen Beast let out a deafening roar. The intense pain forced it to shudder violently, as if to lessen the threat of the Sunshine.

“Go!” While steadying himself, Su Xuan sent a message to Hong Lian and the others to retreat.

“Follow me!”

Hong Lian immediately set off, leading the Elves in a dash for the broken bridge.

The Omen Beast was in no state to intercept the Elves; it could only watch helplessly as they crossed the broken bridge.

But its true target wasn’t the Elves; it was Su Xuan, who stood upon its back!

“ROAR!”

The Omen Beast let out a furious roar. Its body swelled in that instant, and the blue-green core erupted with a dazzling light.

Terrifying energy gathered within the core, and the searing heat made even Su Xuan feel a sense of dread.

“Is it going to self-destruct? You guys, fall back!” Su Xuan frowned and quickly told Rosaline and the others to get away.

But after Rosaline and the others had retreated to a safe distance, Su Xuan tried to get away himself, only to find his Space Teleportation had failed.

“What’s going on?”

Su Xuan frowned slightly. He felt as if a much more powerful force had sealed the energy of his Space Teleportation, preventing him from using the Magic successfully.

“It’s the Death Law! Damn it! The Omen Beast summoned a projection of the Goddess of Death!”

Mira Orri immediately explained to Su Xuan, “It has sealed your power! It wants to take you down with it!”
