Eternal Emperor's Path to Ascension

Chapter 470: Fate Dominating Immortal Emperor, Supreme Fate Governing Immortal God Emperor!

Tian Yongheng looked at the man silently for a moment.

The River of Fate flowed beneath his feet, carrying countless fragments of existence towards destinations unknown. Scenes of civilizations rising and falling, worlds being born and destroyed, and countless lives following their predetermined trajectories appeared and vanished within the illusory waters.

Yet, Tian Yongheng’s attention was no longer on the river, but on the man standing before him.

After a brief silence, he suddenly cupped his hands and asked in a quiet, respectful tone.

"May I know the Immortal Emperor’s Dao title?"

The man’s expression suddenly froze at these words, and for a brief moment, the boundless River of Fate seemed to fall silent alongside him.

Then, the middle aged man suddenly burst into laughter.

"Hahahahaha!"

His laughter echoed throughout the endless river.

The illusory waters rippled violently, and countless fragments of existence trembled as though they had been struck by an invisible force.

Within the river, the trajectories of innumerable lives seemed to momentarily distort, while distant worlds reflected in its waters experienced subtle fluctuations that no ordinary being could ever perceive.

All of this, caused just by him laughing.

He laughed as if Tian Yongheng had just said something extremely amusing.

After a long while, he finally stopped, looking at Tian Yongheng with an expression of unconcealed interest.

"Interesting, truly interesting!"

He shook his head and stroked his short beard.

"How did you arrive at that conclusion? Did that fellow tell you something before I arrived?"

Tian Yongheng did not answer immediately.

He naturally understood who the man was talking about; that blue eye.

It had trapped him within an alternate timeline and possessed an authority over Time so terrifying that it could peer into countless possibilities and interfere with the trajectories of entire worlds.

Yet, even that existence was unable to resist the River of Fate.

When the illusory river appeared, the blue eye was forced to retreat.

At the time, Tian Yongheng already suspected that the existence behind the river possessed a status far beyond that of ordinary Immortal Gods.

Now that he had learned the true identity of this place, his suspicions only grew stronger.

However, there was another detail he could not ignore.

The blue eye had explicitly stated that Unspeakable Existences were forbidden from directly interfering in the affairs of a Great World unless an Immortal War was underway.

Even the Divine Sovereign was supposedly subject to this restriction.

But was there an Immortal War taking place in the Great World right now?

Tian Yongheng had never heard of one, not even from a reincarnated Immortal Sovereign like Zhu Dong.

The Cleansing was undoubtedly a catastrophe of unprecedented proportions, involving forces from the Upper Realm and possibly even higher levels of existence.

Nevertheless, it was still a conflict unfolding within the ordinary order of the Great World.

It was not something that could be called an Immortal War.

If the blue eye was truly an Unspeakable Existence, then its attempt to erase him would have violated the restrictions it had itself described.

Unless the rules had changed, or unless it had found some loophole... there was another possibility.

Neither the blue eye nor the man before him was an Unspeakable Existence.

At most, they were Immortal Emperors, and the kind who weren’t ordinary even among Immortal Emperors.

They undoubtedly occupied an exceptionally special position or status, one that allowed them to exercise authority over the fundamental principles of the Great World.

After all, Immortal Emperors stood at the very apex of the Great World.

They were existences whose names could shake the endless heavens, whose wills could influence the rise and fall of countless worlds, and whose Dao could leave indelible marks upon the River of Time.

Even among Immortal Emperors, there should be differences in strength and status.

However, Tian Yongheng did not treat his assumptions as the absolute truth.

After all, speculation was one thing, and confirmation was another.

The middle aged man watched him for a while before suddenly smiling.

"Not bad, not bad at all, you are quite bold.

He shook his head with a smile, seemingly deciding to satisfy his curiosity.

"Since you have already guessed this much, I suppose there is no harm in telling you."

His expression was the same as before, but the surrounding atmosphere suddenly changed.

It wasn’t because he was deliberately releasing his aura, nor because he intended to intimidate Tian Yongheng.

Rather, it was as if the very concept of the man standing before him had subtly changed.

His appearance was still ordinary, and his short beard, simple clothing, and unremarkable demeanor were no different from those of a mortal.

Yet, at that moment, Tian Yongheng suddenly felt that the endless river beneath his feet was only a small part of something far greater.

The countless fragments of existence, the countless possibilities, and the countless trajectories of fate that extended throughout the Great World, all of them seemed to converge upon the man.

Or perhaps, it would be more accurate to say that the man stood above them all.

The middle aged man slowly spoke, his voice reverberating throughout the River of Fate.

"My Dao title is the Fate Dominating Immortal Emperor."

Tian Yongheng’s eyes widened fractionally.

Fate Dominating Immortal Emperor!

So that was the meaning behind those two words!

The blue eye had retreated upon witnessing the River of Fate, uttering the words Fate Dominating before disappearing.

He finally understood that it was a reference to the being who governed the River of Fate!

The Fate Dominating Immortal Emperor glanced at Tian Yongheng and chuckled.

"Of course, that is a title that only other Immortal Emperors are qualified to call me."

His tone was remarkably casual as he continued.

"Among the countless beings inhabiting the Profound Heaven Great World, there are very few who know this original Dao title of mine. Even fewer possess the qualifications to address me by it."

He raised his hand and pointed towards the boundless river.

"I am one of the only two existing Governing Immortal Emperors of the Profound Heaven Great World right now. I oversee the Heavenly Dao River of Fate and govern the Dao of Fate."

For a brief moment, the endless waters beneath his feet shone with an indescribable brilliance.

Countless fragments of existence emerged from their depths, revealing the trajectories of innumerable beings.

Some of them were destined to rise from humble beginnings and become supreme experts, others would perish before their potential could ever be realized.

There were possibilities that would become reality, possibilities that would forever remain unrealized, and countless paths whose endings could not be determined even by ordinary Immortal Gods.

Yet, all these things existed within the River of Fate.

The Fate Dominating Immortal Emperor regarded them with the same casual expression one might use when observing the scenery outside one’s window.

Then, he slowly continued.

"However, throughout the Profound Heaven Great World, I gained another Dao title after achieving the status of a Governing Immortal Emperor."

He looked at Tian Yongheng, a faint smile appearing on his face.

"Among all beings of this Great World, I am known as the..."

Then, with a voice that seemed to transcend the boundaries of existence itself, he uttered his final words.

"Supreme Fate Governing Immortal God Emperor!"
