Eternal Life by Daily Divination
Chapter 901 - 396: 200th Birthday, Identity Exposed, Tier 5 Reincarnation Wheel
Chu Daniu and Xu Fugui were faring somewhat better, but they too could not hide their aging appearances. Among the old friends who had sought immortality together back in the day, only Ye Hao and Su Yuyan, who had formed their Golden Cores, remained youthful.
A while later, the six of them sat beneath a tree, chatting and laughing as they recounted their experiences seeking immortality in the mortal realm. They all cherished this day, well aware that in a few more years, they might not be able to gather all six of them together again.
As they conversed, people from various factions began to arrive one after another. Almost half of the Qi Refining and Foundation Establishment influences in the Southern Domain had come. Representatives from every Golden Core influence were also present. Changqing Mountain was teeming with crowds from top to bottom. Festive music echoed to the heavens, and every seat was filled, creating an incredibly lively atmosphere.
Not long after, a purple flying ship tore through the sky and came to a halt outside Changqing Mountain. Zi Xi, Zi Yun, and their group appeared, alighting onto the mountain and presenting their respective congratulatory gifts.
Beside Zi Xi stood a slim and elegant female cultivator. She walked over with a bright smile, her voice crisp and clear. "Elder Li, do you still remember me?"
"Xianglan?" Li Chang’an looked her up and down, sensing a familiar aura.
This woman was Song Xianglan, an Earth Spirit Root genius. Back then, she was supposed to join the Cyan Cloud Sect but was instead taken in as Zi Xi’s personal disciple. The reason Song Yu’Er took the surname "Song" was precisely because she had listened to Xianglan’s suggestion.
"I knew it! Elder Li definitely wouldn’t forget me." Song Xianglan’s pretty face was filled with delight, her bright eyes crinkling into happy crescents. She presented her gift and asked, "Elder, is Yu’Er still around?"
"She’s cultivating in the back mountain. If you want to find her, go ahead."
"Thank you, Elder." Song Xianglan immediately excused herself, her footsteps light as she ran toward the Changqing Back Mountain.
Meanwhile, Li Chang’an invited Zi Xi and the others to take their seats at the very front.
Seeing this scene, the members of the various Golden Core influences from the Southern Domain felt a pang of envy.
Gu Qinghong sighed emotionally, "Daoist Li’s relationship with the Purple Mist Sect is truly extraordinary. Members of the Purple Mist Sect attend every single one of his banquets."
"Indeed. If we could have such a relationship with the Purple Mist Sect, we wouldn’t have to worry about our descendants anymore," He Xiangfeng sighed softly.
Beside him, Xiong Yan nodded in agreement. The three of them were also growing old, having reached the final stretch of their lives. Over the years, elderly Golden Core Cultivators had continuously fallen in battle or passed away from old age, resulting in more and more young faces within the various factions.
Just as they were speaking, another flying ship arrived. This ship was bright yellow and flew the flag of the Great Qi Immortal Dynasty. Qi Yunjin, Qi Yao, and their entourage descended one after another, offering their congratulations to Li Chang’an with smiles on their faces.
"Fellow Daoists, please take a seat!" Li Chang’an led them to the front with a smile, arranging for them to sit beside the Purple Mist Sect guests.
This scene left the crowd even more astonished. They couldn’t fathom when Li Chang’an had developed such a good relationship with the Great Qi Immortal Dynasty. To think that even the Eldest Princess of Great Qi had arrived in person!
The members of the Purple Mist Sect were also somewhat surprised. Zi Xi and Qi Yunjin exchanged a glance, their eyes meeting briefly in midair before quickly looking away.
"Daoist Qi."
"Daoist Zi."
The two exchanged simple greetings before delving into discussions about matters of the Northern Domain Demonic path.
A while later, a crimson flying ship soared over from the horizon. Mu Hongyu and her junior sister, Ning Mengwei, were impressively standing upon it.
"Daoist Li, congratulations!"
The two landed on Changqing Mountain and successively offered their well-wishes to Li Chang’an.
Li Chang’an responded with a smile and similarly guided them to the frontmost seats, arranging them right beside the Great Qi Immortal Dynasty guests.
At this point, three of the Eight Great Nascent Soul Forces from the two nations had already arrived. The numerous cultivators from the Qi Refining and Foundation Establishment influences below were thoroughly shaken, their eyes widened in shock.
When had they ever witnessed such a grand spectacle? To them, even a Golden Core influence was a lofty existence, let alone a Nascent Soul influence.
Gu Qinghong and the others were no exception. They exchanged glances, their eyes filled with disbelief.
"Daoist Li is merely a Golden Core Loose Cultivator. How is he able to have members of three great Nascent Soul influences come to celebrate his birthday?"
Before they could figure it out, yet another flying ship arrived! A cyan-colored dragon-headed flying ship streaked across the horizon, coming to a halt beside the other three vessels.
"Daoist Li, we aren’t late, are we?" Zhuo Wanshuang asked with a smile from the deck of the flying ship. Beside her stood both Chi Qingxuan and Chi Qingwu.
"It is never too late!" Li Chang’an smiled, accepting their gifts and leading them to the very front.
Regarding the arrival of the Cyan Dragon Sect cultivators, Gu Qinghong and the others had grown somewhat numb. Not to mention them, even Zi Xi couldn’t understand it. In her eyes, Li Chang’an was holed up on Changqing Mountain year-round and had hardly ever left. When did he establish a friendship with the Cyan Dragon Sect?
She cast a complex look at Li Chang’an, knowing in her heart that he was hiding his depths far more than she had previously imagined. From the very beginning, she couldn’t fathom his true depths. Even today, she still couldn’t see just how many capabilities Li Chang’an was keeping hidden.
Sending a voice transmission, Zi Xi sighed, "Daoist Li, why must you hide so deeply?"
Li Chang’an chuckled. "Saintess, everyone has secrets. I, too, do not know your true depths."
Hearing this, Zi Xi stopped dwelling on the issue and resumed chatting with the others. Since they were all Celestial Prides of their respective sects, they naturally did not lack topics of conversation.
The members of the Cyan Dragon Sect and the Great Qi Immortal Dynasty were equally surprised by Li Chang’an’s network of connections. However, they all maintained a tacit understanding to avoid discussing Li Chang’an himself, instead sticking to the topic of the Demonic path. This was because they all knew Li Chang’an had always been low-key and disliked exposing too much of his strength.
At this moment, Jiang Muyu suddenly approached Li Chang’an.
"Young Master, my father said he’ll be coming here as well."
"Elder Jiang?"
This time, it was Li Chang’an’s turn to be surprised. It was just a birthday banquet; to think it would alarm a Nascent Soul True Monarch!
"Isn’t Elder Jiang dealing with a Nascent Soul Old Demon in the Northern Domain?"
