Eternal Life: I Can Sell Everything

Chapter 467 - 441: The Spear Transmits Intent, A Divine Skill

The Silver Armored Martial Artist flew away. Since he was flying at a low altitude, he didn’t trigger the city’s flight prohibition.

The City Patrol Department soldiers he left behind were on the verge of a breakdown. Someone even yelled, "Chief! Chief! You had an epiphany! What did you figure out? Just tell us!"

A few of the quicker ones simply broke into a run, chasing after him.

The slower ones were left behind, where they saw the myriad expressions on the faces of the common folk lining the street.

Most of the onlookers were still reeling from the shock of it all, unable to process what had happened. But some were starting to turn their eyes toward the City Patrol Department members on the street...

After all, with the whole city thrown into an uproar, the people didn’t know what to do. Wasn’t it natural to look to the soldiers on the scene to handle the aftermath?

But the soldiers were just as clueless. They were all just ordinary men, selected from the populace. They didn’t have any top-tier experts among them, not even a single Innate realm practitioner—

Anyone at the Innate realm held an Official Position, and they were the quick ones who had already taken off.

The remaining men looked at each other. Suddenly, one of them snapped out of it. He started to run, shouting over his shoulder, "Quick! This has to be reported! We need to get back to the Government Office and inform the County Magistrate!"

Before the words were even out of his mouth, he was already sprinting away.

The others didn’t hesitate for a second. They all took off at a run, wishing their parents had blessed them with Wind Fire Wheels. Every last one of them ran with all their might, heading straight for the County Magistrate’s Office.

As for the onlookers left behind, on second thought, it didn’t really matter. There was nothing for the soldiers to manage anyway.

After all, no one had died, and no one was being held here against their will. Everyone was free to go. What more needed to be done? They could all go home to their mothers!

A finger strike from that Celestial Pride had punched a hole through that row of buildings over there, but that was no big deal.

’It’s just a small hole. Can’t they just patch it up with some mud?’

As the City Patrol Department soldiers ran past Sanming Street, one of them, who wore a blue sash, suddenly slapped his thigh. "Ah! That row of shops on Sanming Street with the holes in them... If I were the owner, I wouldn’t patch that hole! I wouldn’t repair it at all!"

His comrade stared at him, confused. "Why not? You wouldn’t fix a hole in your wall?"

The soldier with the blue sash was a bit older and looked more worldly-wise. He clicked his tongue and shook his head. "You don’t get it, do you? That’s no ordinary hole! That’s a hole made by a Celestial Pride, you see?"

Someone immediately understood. "Right, right! And not just any Celestial Pride! That one tore through the City Defense Array with a flick of his wrist! With that kind of power... no, what happened today shook the whole city! It’s definitely going down in the county records!"

The more the men talked as they ran, the more excited they became.

"It’s unbelievable! Someone ranked eighty-second on the Ten Thousand Spirits Celestial Pride List has that much power and skill. How much stronger must the ones ranked higher be? Could they destroy a city with a wave of their hand?"

"Not a single person in the top ten has a Cultivation below Divinity Transformation or Innate Third Transformation. It’s even said that the fifth-ranked Du Xingheng of the Ling Martial Sect has already reached the Innate Acupoint Fusion Realm! Innate Acupoint Fusion... that’s equivalent to an Earth Immortal..."

"Incredible. With the power of an Earth Immortal, destroying a city would be nothing. Moving Mountains and Inverting Seas probably wouldn’t even be surprising, would it?"

"How could that be? Moving Mountains and Inverting Seas... aren’t those the kinds of things only a Celestial Immortal can do?"

"It’s too incredible. I can’t even begin to imagine it. I wonder if I’ll ever be able to advance a little further in this life... or even just see a Celestial Immortal in action with my own eyes..."

"Heh, Old Chen, you’ve got some nerve dreaming that big!"

...

The group’s intense discussion dissolved into boisterous laughter.

But they were just low-ranking soldiers, after all. Their discussion was nothing more than wild, baseless speculation.

It was the soldier with the blue sash who spoke up again, musing, "Doesn’t it seem like that Lu Celestial Pride’s true strength is far greater than his rank of eighty-two would suggest?"

His comrades didn’t understand. "What makes you say that?"

The blue-sashed soldier explained, "Young Master Lu left peacefully today and didn’t truly harm anyone, but think about the power he displayed. If he had wanted to, couldn’t he have destroyed our entire Luying City with a single hand?"

As he said this, his tone changed, his voice dropping to a low whisper as if sharing an incredible secret.

His comrades were frightened by the theory. It wasn’t because it sounded like an exaggeration, but because... what he described was entirely possible!

One of them said in horror, "If you put it that way, Young Master Lu’s true strength might really be far beyond eighty-second place!"

Another hesitated. "But... isn’t it also possible that those ranked higher are just that much more powerful..."

"That’s true. We’ve never seen them, so we can’t say for sure."

"From now on, we have to pay closer attention to the Ten Thousand Spirits Celestial Pride List!"

"Hey, look ahead... Quick, we’re at the Government Office! Let’s get inside and see what the chief has to say."

The soldiers rushed through the gates, only to be told that their leader, the Silver Armored Martial Artist, had entered the rear hall. He had been summoned by the County Magistrate for a private meeting.

In the rear hall of the County Magistrate’s Office, the Luying County Magistrate looked at the Silver Armored Martial Artist with a grave expression. "Guanglin, what exactly was your epiphany? Tell me in detail."

The Silver Armored Martial Artist gripped his long spear, his face still flushed with excitement.

He held out his other hand and gently clenched it into a fist before the County Magistrate. As he did, a dense, piercing Thunderbolt Power erupted from his palm.

A blinding golden light shot out in all directions. A vast, righteous aura surged upward along with a roar of Qi Blood Power, threatening to burst right through the roof of the County Magistrate’s Office!

The only reason it didn’t was because a special energy field protected the space above the County Magistrate’s Office. In an instant, the immense power reversed course, striking back down on the Silver Armored Martial Artist, Peng Guanglin, faster than a clap of thunder.

Peng Guanglin stumbled back a step. Struck by the ricocheting bolt of his own making, a faint green pallor washed over his face.

The effect was minimal, however; it was his own power, after all.

He opened his mouth, letting out a series of small sparks before speaking, his voice thick with suppressed excitement. "County Magistrate, this is the Thunder Prison-Suppression Skill, an Earth Level Top Grade Martial Arts Technique. It possesses incredibly strong properties for vanquishing evil and destroying demons."

"Previously, when I gripped the Flying Dragon Spear, a surge of power came from it, instantly guiding me through the initial stages of this technique’s Cultivation."

"To transmit a technique through a spear... what a Divine Skill! County Magistrate, in terms of true strength, this Lu Celestial Pride is absolutely ranked far higher than eighty-second!"

"You can judge a man by his techniques. This Thunder Prison-Suppression Skill is filled with a vast, righteous, and resolute power. To have cultivated it to the point where he can imbue it into a Magical Artifact and pass it on to another, Lu Celestial Pride must be a man of great justice and integrity."

"County Magistrate, the True Intent is still flowing within the spear. Would you like to see it?"
