Chapter 770 -329: Divine Sealing Technique, Divine Sealing Scroll

The two of them emerged from the depths of Taihu.

“Sixth Brother!”

The Seventh Prince hadn’t left Taihu for the past few months. He had established a new cave residence by the shore, a place teeming with Spiritual Qi. After just a few short months, his aura had grown noticeably stronger.

Seeing Chu Lingguang and Yun Hong emerge unharmed, he took the initiative to greet them.

“Chu Lingguang, the grudge between the Cyan Cloud Sect and the Profound Celestial Sect will be settled sooner or later. If our two sects go to war, I ask that you don’t hold back,”

Yun Hong said.

He and Yun Shu had come to Great Qin from Great Yuan, and they owed their current cultivation level to the training they’d received from the Cyan Cloud Sect. Both had inherited legacies from their masters. If the Cyan Cloud Sect and the Profound Celestial Sect went to war, the two of them would give their all for their sect.

“Yun Hong, Your Highness, I hope that day never comes.”

Chu Lingguang didn’t want to cross swords with Yun Hong and the others.

Qin Yu and Tuoba Yunhong were also in the Cyan Cloud Sect.

Once the two sects went to war, there would inevitably be countless casualties. Some Minor Sects would also be affected, and the entire cultivation world of Great Qin would be thrown into chaos.

“The enmity between our sects runs too deep, especially after what happened at the Immortal King’s Tomb. I’m sure both your Profound Celestial Sect and our Cyan Cloud Sect are just waiting for the right moment to fight to the death.”

Yun Hong shook his head and continued, “This war is inevitable. If you don’t want to turn against us, you should leave the Profound Celestial Sect and return to Great Yuan. But knowing you, that’s something you’d never do. Otherwise, you wouldn’t be Chu Lingguang.”

“If that time comes and we die by your hand, Sixth Brother and I will have no regrets,” Yun Shu said. The two of them came from a more privileged background than Chu Lingguang and were accustomed to the cold realities of human nature and endless scheming. Chu Lingguang was the one who made them believe that loyalty and honor still existed in the world, and for that, they both deeply respected him.

“Farewell.”

The two mounted their swords and rode the wind, speeding off in the direction of the Cyan Cloud Sect.

Chu Lingguang was speechless for a long time, watching until Yun Hong and Yun Shu vanished from sight.

‘If that day really comes…?’

Chu Lingguang shook his head, forcing himself to stop overthinking. He knew that when war broke out between the Profound Celestial Sect and the Cyan Cloud Sect, he wouldn’t be able to stay on the sidelines.

After a decade with the Profound Celestial Sect, he had grown deeply attached to it. Not to mention, he now had a master in the sect, and both the Divine Thought techniques and the Five Elements Escape Technique he cultivated came from there. He couldn’t possibly stand by and watch the Profound Celestial Sect fall.

‘But how could he possibly bring himself to kill Yun Hong, Qin Yu, and the others with his own hands?’

“Yan!”

A short while later, Chu Lingguang arrived at the Immortal King’s Tomb.

In the ten years that had passed, the Immortal King’s Tomb had returned to its former tranquility. The Stone Forest was overgrown with weeds, but the hidden Restriction Array within it had not vanished. On the contrary, after a decade of dormancy, it had absorbed even more Heaven and Earth Spiritual Qi, making it far more terrifying than before.

Ever since Yan Zhen and a mysterious person entered the Immortal King’s Tomb ten years ago, they had not been seen again.

Chu Lingguang returned from time to time, hoping to find any trace of them. He had even tried to communicate with the Nascent Soul Ghosts within the Immortal King’s Tomb, but he never received a response.

An ominous premonition had long since taken root in his heart.

Ten years was more than enough time for Yan Zhen and his companion to have found the Immortal Fate they were searching for. The fact that they still hadn’t emerged could only mean they had met with disaster.

But he refused to entertain that possibility.

“This disciple, Chu Lingguang, has a friend trapped inside. I beg you, Seniors, to show mercy and allow him to leave safely,”

Chu Lingguang said respectfully to the two towering divine statues in front of the Stone Forest.

Unfortunately, he received no response.

The Stone Forest was dark and profound, seemingly covered in a layer of gloomy light. It gave off a feeling that anyone who entered would be swallowed whole, and even Chu Lingguang didn’t dare to venture inside rashly.

He kept watch here for another three days.

In the end, he found nothing and could only leave the Ancient Perilous Land to return to the Profound Celestial Sect.

On his way back to the Profound Celestial Sect, Chu Lingguang was surprised to see that a tea stall had appeared somewhere inside the Ancient Perilous Land.

Many cultivators who had come to the Ancient Perilous Land for training were resting at the stall, drinking wine or tea in small groups or by themselves.

It was the first time Chu Lingguang had ever seen such a place within the Ancient Perilous Land. Overcome with curiosity, he walked over to the stall. He had just sat down, not yet having ordered anything, when the owner brought over a tray laden with fruit and Spirit Tea.

Chu Lingguang glanced around and noticed everyone had the same tray in front of them.

It seemed to be a set menu from the owner, a mandatory purchase for all customers.

But no one was complaining, so Chu Lingguang went along with it. He saw two old men sitting across from him, engrossed in a game of chess. Each of them also had an identical tray of fruit in front of them.

Chu Lingguang picked up one of the fruits, peeled it, and ate it. The flesh inside resembled dried longan but contained a trace of Spiritual Power. It was so good that, without realizing it, he began to peel and eat them one by one until they were all gone.

Afterward, Chu Lingguang drank the Spirit Tea.

A cool, searing current flooded into his Foundation Establishment Compass. The strange sensation made Chu Lingguang frown slightly. He wasn’t mistaken; as the mouthful of Spirit Tea settled in his stomach, he felt both a refreshing coolness and a searing heat spreading through his Foundation Establishment Compass.

The complex sensation left him feeling bewildered.

CLACK!

At that moment, of the two old men playing chess before him, the one in white robes placed a black stone on the board. The man in black robes immediately followed, placing a white stone in turn.

CLACK!

The sound of the stone landing on the board seemed to be the sound of Heaven and Earth Resonance.

Chu Lingguang sat to one side, watching, and entered a Divine State.

He didn’t know how to play chess, nor did he understand Go, having never encountered it in his past or present life. Yet as he watched the white-robed and black-robed elders play, for some reason, he could perfectly understand the flow of the game.
